Virginia is back with the Disney Dames. After a wonderful and busy trip, they are all eager to share the fun that was had on this budget to bougie vacation. This trip included a split stay between All-Star Music in a family suite and a DVC villa at Riviera. The ladies enjoyed lots of park time, especially enjoyed Festival of the Arts, and wrapped up the trip with a DVC Moonlight Magic party at Hollywood Studios!

00:00:12.238 --> 00:00:16.218
VIRGINIA: Welcome to Where I Long To Be, a Magical Trip Report Podcast.
00:00:16.218 --> 00:00:18.698
VIRGINIA: My name is Virginia, and I am your host.
00:00:18.698 --> 00:00:24.598
VIRGINIA: You'll hear my bronchitis was in full force by the time we got back from this trip and recorded this interview.
00:00:24.598 --> 00:00:29.538
VIRGINIA: Thankfully, you will never know exactly how much coughing I edited out.
00:00:29.538 --> 00:00:32.858
VIRGINIA: Every day is a little bit better, so thanks to everyone who has sent me well wishes.
00:00:32.858 --> 00:00:34.698
VIRGINIA: I actually feel totally normal at this point.
00:00:34.698 --> 00:00:36.518
VIRGINIA: It's just, I sound terrible.
00:00:36.518 --> 00:00:41.698
VIRGINIA: As you are listening right now, I am back down in Orlando for my annual family trip.
00:00:41.798 --> 00:00:45.718
VIRGINIA: So please make sure you follow along on Instagram and TikTok.
00:00:45.718 --> 00:00:54.518
VIRGINIA: And now, if you didn't get a chance to listen to the pre-trip report episode right before this one, this was a trip I took with some of my best girlfriends.
00:00:54.518 --> 00:01:00.918
VIRGINIA: We call ourselves the Disney Dames, and this was our first trip to the parks with all of us at the same time.
00:01:00.918 --> 00:01:03.958
VIRGINIA: So we were beyond excited for this adventure.
00:01:03.958 --> 00:01:17.418
VIRGINIA: This was a split stay with four nights in a family suite at Disney's All-Star Music Resort, followed by one night at the Riviera that I booked for us so that we could get tickets to the DVC Moonlight Magic Party at Hollywood Studios.
00:01:17.418 --> 00:01:22.198
VIRGINIA: Our non-DVC nights were planned with the help of Dana, our travel agent.
00:01:22.198 --> 00:01:30.698
VIRGINIA: She was absolutely wonderful to work with, and I hope that you will reach out to her if you are looking for an agent to assist with your next magical vacation.
00:01:30.698 --> 00:01:36.358
VIRGINIA: I personally had never used a travel agent before, so it was really nice to have our assistance and support.
00:01:37.118 --> 00:01:49.858
VIRGINIA: And she is one of many people who have been a previous podcast guest who is also a travel agent, and she's, I'm sure, the first of many of them that I'll be reaching out to for my out-of-pocket stays in the future.
00:01:49.858 --> 00:02:02.278
VIRGINIA: Before we launch into the trip report, I did pull a little bit of audio from the pre-trip report of each of the ladies saying hello, just so you can begin to recognize their voices, since there are five of us on the show today talking.
00:02:02.278 --> 00:02:05.338
VIRGINIA: So I know it can get a little confusing when you have that many people.
00:02:05.838 --> 00:02:10.658
VIRGINIA: So hopefully, with this little intro and then we try to refer to each other by name throughout the show.
00:02:10.658 --> 00:02:12.958
VIRGINIA: So hopefully, that will help.
00:02:12.958 --> 00:02:14.458
NANCI: Hello, everybody.
00:02:14.458 --> 00:02:15.918
NANCI: I'm Nanci.
00:02:15.918 --> 00:02:17.058
MARIA: Hello, everyone.
00:02:17.058 --> 00:02:18.258
MARIA: I'm Maria.
00:02:18.258 --> 00:02:19.058
CHRISSY: Hi, everyone.
00:02:19.058 --> 00:02:20.438
CHRISSY: I'm Chrissy.
00:02:20.438 --> 00:02:22.238
JEANETTE: Hello, I'm Jeanette.
00:02:23.678 --> 00:02:26.318
VIRGINIA: So I think you're ready with that recap.
00:02:26.318 --> 00:02:27.798
VIRGINIA: Let's get this party started.
00:02:27.798 --> 00:02:30.038
VIRGINIA: Here are the Disney dames.
00:02:31.218 --> 00:02:32.618
VIRGINIA: Welcome back, Disney dames.
00:02:32.618 --> 00:02:33.118
VIRGINIA: Thank you.
00:02:35.098 --> 00:02:36.278
CHRISSY: Hello, friends.
00:02:36.278 --> 00:02:37.278
MARIA: Hello.
00:02:37.298 --> 00:02:38.518
JEANETTE: Happy to be back.
00:02:38.518 --> 00:02:40.678
NANCI: I missed you all.
00:02:40.678 --> 00:02:46.278
VIRGINIA: We've been back, what, a week now, a week and a day?
00:02:46.278 --> 00:02:46.938
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:02:46.938 --> 00:02:47.178
MARIA: Yeah.
00:02:47.478 --> 00:02:49.818
VIRGINIA: I missed this trip already.
00:02:49.818 --> 00:02:50.618
VIRGINIA: Same.
00:02:50.638 --> 00:02:51.118
VIRGINIA: I know.
00:02:51.118 --> 00:02:51.438
VIRGINIA: Take me back.
00:02:51.438 --> 00:02:52.818
MARIA: I want to be back.
00:02:53.918 --> 00:02:55.878
VIRGINIA: I am going back, but it's different.
00:02:55.878 --> 00:02:56.538
VIRGINIA: It's a different kind.
00:02:56.538 --> 00:02:57.998
VIRGINIA: It's going to feel totally different.
00:02:57.998 --> 00:03:01.058
VIRGINIA: Family trip is totally different than a girl's trip, right?
00:03:01.318 --> 00:03:02.278
MARIA: It's true.
00:03:02.278 --> 00:03:04.138
MARIA: Charles and Alex are not as fun as us.
00:03:04.438 --> 00:03:06.118
VIRGINIA: I won't tell them and they won't listen to this.
00:03:06.118 --> 00:03:06.978
<v SPEAKER_2>I'm going to tell them.
00:03:06.978 --> 00:03:08.778
VIRGINIA: They'll never know.
00:03:11.298 --> 00:03:11.618
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:03:11.618 --> 00:03:16.798
VIRGINIA: Well, we have a lot to get through because we packed a lot into the days that we had.
00:03:16.798 --> 00:03:22.078
VIRGINIA: So let's just go through our time on Tuesday, January 21st.
00:03:22.078 --> 00:03:28.258
VIRGINIA: The adventure began when we had a couple sleepovers going on pre-flight.
00:03:28.258 --> 00:03:34.018
VIRGINIA: On my side of New York City, Nanci arrived at my house at what time was it?
00:03:34.018 --> 00:03:36.798
VIRGINIA: Like 10:30 p.m., 11?
00:03:36.798 --> 00:03:37.298
<v SPEAKER_2>Oh, no.
00:03:37.298 --> 00:03:44.838
<v SPEAKER_2>I got there around 11.25 and then I didn't fall asleep till like close to 1 because it worked.
00:03:47.018 --> 00:03:51.098
MARIA: I don't know how you did all the day in the park the following day without a little sleep.
00:03:51.118 --> 00:03:51.758
MARIA: That was wild.
00:03:53.958 --> 00:03:54.378
VIRGINIA: You know what?
00:03:54.378 --> 00:03:57.198
<v SPEAKER_2>Actually, I didn't really feel it.
00:03:57.198 --> 00:03:57.878
MARIA: As it should be.
00:03:57.878 --> 00:04:09.498
<v SPEAKER_2>I think the adrenaline and the dopamine and the serotonin being released into my body for getting to go on this trip really kept me going throughout the day.
00:04:12.038 --> 00:04:19.118
MARIA: And my sleepover at Jeanette's, I think I got to her house probably around, I don't know, eight-ish maybe.
00:04:19.178 --> 00:04:20.278
JEANETTE: It was right around eight.
00:04:20.278 --> 00:04:22.658
JEANETTE: I was finishing a meeting.
00:04:22.658 --> 00:04:24.058
<v SPEAKER_7>Yeah.
00:04:24.058 --> 00:04:24.958
MARIA: Yes, that's right.
00:04:24.958 --> 00:04:29.318
MARIA: And I, your lovely husband, Rob, entertained me for a bit.
00:04:29.318 --> 00:04:32.258
MARIA: And then we had a pretty early bedtime because we were getting up so early.
00:04:32.258 --> 00:04:33.458
VIRGINIA: What time did we meet at the airport?
00:04:33.458 --> 00:04:35.038
MARIA: To go for our flight.
00:04:35.038 --> 00:04:36.998
<v SPEAKER_2>4.15.
00:04:37.118 --> 00:04:39.298
NANCI: Oh, god, too early.
00:04:39.598 --> 00:04:40.218
NANCI: 4.15.
00:04:40.218 --> 00:04:41.238
VIRGINIA: Was it 4.15?
00:04:41.238 --> 00:04:42.058
JEANETTE: No, no, no.
00:04:42.458 --> 00:04:43.898
JEANETTE: I talked to you guys off that ledge.
00:04:43.898 --> 00:04:45.658
JEANETTE: I think it was right around five.
00:04:45.658 --> 00:04:47.718
MARIA: No, we left, sorry, we left.
00:04:47.718 --> 00:04:49.398
MARIA: We left at 4.15.
00:04:49.398 --> 00:04:51.038
MARIA: Yeah, 4.30, yeah.
00:04:51.038 --> 00:04:57.678
VIRGINIA: The whole reason we were leaving so early is because I now have lounge access and I really want to try it.
00:04:57.678 --> 00:05:03.858
VIRGINIA: I will now toss it over to Maria to help walk us through our arrival day.
00:05:05.498 --> 00:05:05.998
MARIA: All right.
00:05:05.998 --> 00:05:18.698
MARIA: Our arrival day, as we said, started very early, but going to the lounge was pretty amazing to be in the lounge before our flight and have breakfast and coffees and teas and everything.
00:05:18.698 --> 00:05:20.038
MARIA: It was delightful.
00:05:20.998 --> 00:05:27.738
MARIA: As soon as we left the lounge and we walked over to our gate, it was just about time to board.
00:05:27.738 --> 00:05:29.418
MARIA: It was quite nice.
00:05:29.418 --> 00:05:31.338
MARIA: We didn't have the...
00:05:31.338 --> 00:05:37.038
MARIA: Guys, you know I always love feeling better than other people and having access to things other people don't have access to.
00:05:37.658 --> 00:05:41.058
MARIA: So, the lounge was, like, I don't know, I don't know.
00:05:41.058 --> 00:05:43.718
MARIA: I know I'm such a booshy, crazy woman.
00:05:43.718 --> 00:05:44.798
MARIA: I'm sorry.
00:05:44.798 --> 00:05:47.418
MARIA: But it's just how I feel.
00:05:47.838 --> 00:05:57.558
MARIA: I'm going to the airport next weekend because my husband and I are going on a trip and just sitting at the gate is going to be gross and I'm going to want access to a lounge.
00:05:57.558 --> 00:05:58.398
MARIA: I'm not going to have it.
00:05:58.398 --> 00:06:00.518
MARIA: So anyway, back to our trip.
00:06:00.518 --> 00:06:01.918
MARIA: Got on our flight.
00:06:01.918 --> 00:06:02.918
MARIA: Everything was good.
00:06:03.158 --> 00:06:14.538
MARIA: The luggage landed about 20 minutes late, but we got there, picked up our luggage from baggage claim, went immediately over to the Mears desk.
00:06:14.538 --> 00:06:22.038
MARIA: We ended up kind of rearranging some things in our luggage when we were waiting for the Mears bus and then took the bus over.
00:06:22.038 --> 00:06:23.598
MARIA: So we got over to All-Star Music.
00:06:23.598 --> 00:06:27.998
MARIA: I think we were the first stop on our on the bus as well, which was kind of nice.
00:06:29.078 --> 00:06:30.658
MARIA: Our room was ready when we got there.
00:06:30.658 --> 00:06:35.158
MARIA: So we had a family suite in the Calypso section.
00:06:35.158 --> 00:06:37.538
MARIA: And we waited for Chrissy.
00:06:37.538 --> 00:06:44.278
MARIA: She was a little bit behind us on her flight and then Mears over to All-Star.
00:06:44.278 --> 00:06:55.398
MARIA: As soon as Chrissy got there, we kind of got her settled, switched bags, got ready and headed straight to the best place to start a Disney vacation and started in the Magic Kingdom.
00:06:55.398 --> 00:06:59.198
MARIA: When we got there, it was a little late for lunch.
00:06:59.198 --> 00:07:04.818
MARIA: We decided that Columbia Harbor House was a good place to start our Magic Kingdom food journey.
00:07:04.818 --> 00:07:05.898
VIRGINIA: It was so good.
00:07:05.898 --> 00:07:07.218
MARIA: So we sat upstairs.
00:07:07.218 --> 00:07:08.498
VIRGINIA: Can I say one thing about that?
00:07:08.498 --> 00:07:09.758
MARIA: I think it's my new favorite.
00:07:09.758 --> 00:07:15.018
VIRGINIA: I think that the fish and chips I had at Columbia Harbor House, I like better than the fish and chips I got.
00:07:16.518 --> 00:07:17.938
<v SPEAKER_2>They are superior than the other.
00:07:17.938 --> 00:07:19.058
NANCI: Yeah, absolutely.
00:07:19.058 --> 00:07:19.518
MARIA: Really?
00:07:19.518 --> 00:07:20.498
<v SPEAKER_2>Absolutely agree.
00:07:20.538 --> 00:07:22.178
<v SPEAKER_2>These ones are too bready.
00:07:24.518 --> 00:07:27.878
MARIA: I like feeling like I'm eating something kind of healthy.
00:07:27.878 --> 00:07:37.618
JEANETTE: I will say I just have it on this trip, but I've gotten their salmon kids meal, and it's really good, and it's nice and cheap.
00:07:37.618 --> 00:07:40.038
JEANETTE: And so that is a pro tip.
00:07:40.038 --> 00:07:41.258
JEANETTE: Salmon kids meal.
00:07:41.258 --> 00:07:44.058
JEANETTE: You can even get the truffle fries with the salmon kids meal.
00:07:44.138 --> 00:07:45.378
<v SPEAKER_7>That's great.
00:07:46.398 --> 00:07:48.898
NANCI: Oh, good tip.
00:07:48.898 --> 00:07:56.898
MARIA: We did not have any multi-pass lightning lane for this day because we were, it was going to be a quick time in the park.
00:07:56.898 --> 00:08:00.658
MARIA: We lucked out and got a 15-minute wait for pirates.
00:08:00.658 --> 00:08:01.858
MARIA: We went over to Jungle Cruise.
00:08:01.858 --> 00:08:09.938
MARIA: It was posted at a 20-minute wait, but they lied, and it was closer to about a 40-minute wait for Jungle Cruise.
00:08:09.938 --> 00:08:13.138
MARIA: Our skipper was not the best skipper I've ever had.
00:08:13.238 --> 00:08:15.138
MARIA: I don't even remember her name, so we didn't tell her.
00:08:15.138 --> 00:08:16.978
JEANETTE: She was sick.
00:08:16.978 --> 00:08:18.518
<v SPEAKER_7>She said, okay.
00:08:18.518 --> 00:08:19.638
JEANETTE: Everything was sick.
00:08:19.638 --> 00:08:21.258
<v SPEAKER_2>Words of sexism.
00:08:22.918 --> 00:08:24.698
JEANETTE: Also, we were a terrible audience.
00:08:24.698 --> 00:08:26.198
MARIA: Yeah, she was not great.
00:08:26.198 --> 00:08:27.958
JEANETTE: She kept telling us that we were a terrible audience.
00:08:27.958 --> 00:08:30.118
MARIA: Yeah, she told us that multiple times.
00:08:30.118 --> 00:08:34.018
MARIA: I'm like, ma'am, I'm trying to make eye contact and laugh at your jokes.
00:08:35.138 --> 00:08:36.438
MARIA: Maybe she was having an off day.
00:08:36.438 --> 00:08:40.478
VIRGINIA: When I'm on a ride like that, though, I know some of you are this way too.
00:08:40.818 --> 00:08:42.818
VIRGINIA: I'm going to be the best audience member you've ever had.
00:08:44.578 --> 00:08:45.878
VIRGINIA: I'm going to be in it.
00:08:45.878 --> 00:08:47.718
VIRGINIA: I'm going to be giving you my full attention.
00:08:47.718 --> 00:08:50.298
VIRGINIA: I'm going to be laughing when I think it's funny.
00:08:50.298 --> 00:08:52.718
VIRGINIA: If I don't, I'm at least going to give you a little chuckle.
00:08:52.878 --> 00:08:54.958
JEANETTE: There might even be a couple of courtesy laughs.
00:08:54.958 --> 00:08:56.058
MARIA: A chortle.
00:08:56.058 --> 00:08:57.158
VIRGINIA: Right.
00:08:57.158 --> 00:08:57.378
JEANETTE: Exactly.
00:08:57.378 --> 00:09:04.538
NANCI: After being told like five times in a row what a terrible audience I was, I was no longer laughing or smiling.
00:09:04.538 --> 00:09:10.298
VIRGINIA: The wait also felt much longer because I think one of us pointed out later, there was no music in the queue.
00:09:11.578 --> 00:09:12.018
NANCI: Yeah.
00:09:12.018 --> 00:09:13.158
JEANETTE: All of Adventureland.
00:09:13.158 --> 00:09:14.238
MARIA: I think it was you that pointed out.
00:09:14.238 --> 00:09:15.498
NANCI: No, it wasn't me.
00:09:15.518 --> 00:09:21.218
JEANETTE: No, it was me because I loved the music, the atmospheric music in Adventureland.
00:09:21.218 --> 00:09:25.618
JEANETTE: Adventureland is actually like, if I could live in a land, it would be Adventureland.
00:09:26.678 --> 00:09:35.358
JEANETTE: But I noticed the lack of music and especially in that queue where it's like that radio show from the 30s and it's got the puns mixed in.
00:09:35.358 --> 00:09:41.398
JEANETTE: It was missing and there was a lot of people with frowns on their face because they didn't have that to entertain them.
00:09:44.118 --> 00:09:44.778
MARIA: Yeah, that's true.
00:09:44.778 --> 00:09:49.678
MARIA: A lot of people, we did notice that there was a lot of people just like looked grumpy while they were standing in line.
00:09:49.678 --> 00:09:54.918
MARIA: I'm like, sirs and madams, you are in the most magical place on earth.
00:09:54.918 --> 00:09:55.618
MARIA: Is that what it is?
00:09:55.818 --> 00:09:56.618
MARIA: Or the happiest place on earth?
00:09:56.618 --> 00:09:57.218
VIRGINIA: Magical.
00:09:57.218 --> 00:09:57.898
MARIA: You should be happy.
00:09:57.918 --> 00:10:10.938
VIRGINIA: Yeah, and I remember, when we got to the front of the line, we did notice that perhaps in my opinion, what was making the wait a little bit longer was that they were sending out boats that weren't totally full.
00:10:10.938 --> 00:10:12.918
JEANETTE: Were they half full or were they half empty?
00:10:12.918 --> 00:10:14.638
VIRGINIA: I'm going to say half empty.
00:10:18.418 --> 00:10:24.518
MARIA: I think I did overhear one of the skippers saying that it was actually faster.
00:10:24.518 --> 00:10:28.798
MARIA: They could get more people through if they were sending half full boats out.
00:10:28.798 --> 00:10:37.998
MARIA: I don't really understand how the physics and the math ain't mathin for me, but we still had a love.
00:10:37.998 --> 00:10:38.998
MARIA: I mean, it was good.
00:10:38.998 --> 00:10:40.418
MARIA: We saw the backside of water.
00:10:40.418 --> 00:10:42.198
MARIA: That's always my favorite part.
00:10:42.198 --> 00:10:44.798
MARIA: From there, we went to the Country Bear Jamboree.
00:10:44.798 --> 00:10:49.458
MARIA: This is, I think, all of our first time seeing the new Country Bear show.
00:10:49.458 --> 00:10:50.958
<v SPEAKER_2>I loved it so much.
00:10:54.438 --> 00:10:54.998
MARIA: I really enjoyed it.
00:10:54.998 --> 00:11:01.998
MARIA: I think if anyone has listened to my previous trip reports, I maybe have had some hot takes about the previous Country Bear Jamboree.
00:11:01.998 --> 00:11:05.498
CHRISSY: One of those hot takes was not even worth going in for a nap.
00:11:05.778 --> 00:11:07.278
VIRGINIA: That is a hot take.
00:11:07.278 --> 00:11:09.238
MARIA: Yes, exactly.
00:11:09.238 --> 00:11:10.378
MARIA: It is a hot take.
00:11:10.378 --> 00:11:11.558
MARIA: But I liked it.
00:11:11.558 --> 00:11:15.178
MARIA: I would go again and would try to stay awake for it as well.
00:11:15.178 --> 00:11:16.018
MARIA: I really enjoyed it.
00:11:16.018 --> 00:11:22.258
MARIA: From there, we were starting to fade a little bit and it was also, we should know, very cold that day.
00:11:22.258 --> 00:11:23.498
MARIA: So cold.
00:11:23.498 --> 00:11:25.778
MARIA: So we left Country Bear Jamboree.
00:11:25.778 --> 00:11:29.938
MARIA: We did have a 645 dinner reservation at Summer House on the lake.
00:11:29.938 --> 00:11:36.758
MARIA: So we decided to leave the park a little on the earlier side because we needed to get over to Disney Springs.
00:11:36.758 --> 00:11:43.198
MARIA: And we thought the easiest way to do that was to hop on the monorail over to the contemporary to get a bus over to Disney Springs.
00:11:43.198 --> 00:11:45.038
MARIA: So we stopped and got some Starbucks.
00:11:45.738 --> 00:11:57.138
MARIA: And a couple of us wanted to stop at the Main Street Confectionery to get the DIY popcorn, which I think Chrissy and Jeanette and I all got.
00:11:57.138 --> 00:11:59.558
MARIA: And I will speak for I think for three of us.
00:11:59.558 --> 00:12:00.078
MARIA: I loved mine.
00:12:00.878 --> 00:12:01.798
MARIA: And I even.
00:12:01.798 --> 00:12:02.938
JEANETTE: I love mine so much.
00:12:03.038 --> 00:12:03.778
MARIA: She's got it again.
00:12:03.778 --> 00:12:04.598
MARIA: Spoiler alert.
00:12:04.638 --> 00:12:05.358
MARIA: Same, same.
00:12:05.358 --> 00:12:05.938
MARIA: On Monday.
00:12:05.938 --> 00:12:06.238
CHRISSY: Yeah.
00:12:06.238 --> 00:12:09.758
MARIA: So it was a great park snack.
00:12:09.758 --> 00:12:19.618
MARIA: And it's a great thing to get on your first day and bring some Ziploc baggies in your luggage so you can, you know, squirrel some away and have it in your park bag every day.
00:12:19.618 --> 00:12:22.378
CHRISSY: Because I definitely had it for dessert after dinner tonight.
00:12:22.378 --> 00:12:23.418
JEANETTE: Oh, and I had it.
00:12:23.418 --> 00:12:23.818
MARIA: Yeah.
00:12:23.818 --> 00:12:26.938
JEANETTE: I had it in the days after the trip and it extended the magic.
00:12:26.938 --> 00:12:27.998
VIRGINIA: Mm hmm.
00:12:29.358 --> 00:12:36.458
VIRGINIA: And Jeanette turned us on to this special strawberry popcorn that they have right now for, I presume, Valentine's Day.
00:12:36.458 --> 00:12:38.058
VIRGINIA: And so I got some on that last day.
00:12:40.838 --> 00:12:49.578
MARIA: So once we finally took all of the transportation from Magic Kingdom through the Contemporary to Disney Springs, we had a little bit of time before our reservation.
00:12:49.578 --> 00:12:53.038
MARIA: So obviously we went to World of Disney and looked around.
00:12:53.038 --> 00:12:54.338
MARIA: We saw a lot of cute plushes.
00:12:54.338 --> 00:12:55.618
MARIA: We saw a lot of cute shirts.
00:12:55.618 --> 00:12:57.598
MARIA: We saw a lot of cute merch.
00:12:57.598 --> 00:12:59.258
MARIA: We saw a lot of cute drinking vessels.
00:12:59.258 --> 00:13:03.478
MARIA: Some of us are a little bit more excited about drinking vessels than others.
00:13:03.578 --> 00:13:04.538
MARIA: I'm looking at you, Nanci.
00:13:04.538 --> 00:13:05.938
NANCI: I got an addiction.
00:13:07.518 --> 00:13:09.858
VIRGINIA: I'm not going to judge because I have the same addiction.
00:13:09.858 --> 00:13:10.978
<v SPEAKER_7>She has more than I do.
00:13:11.278 --> 00:13:12.538
<v SPEAKER_2>I just want to point it out.
00:13:12.538 --> 00:13:13.818
<v SPEAKER_7>She has more than I do.
00:13:13.818 --> 00:13:22.298
VIRGINIA: Listen, I have to make real Sophie's choices here because I have so many that I think I will not be allowed to come home if I buy anymore.
00:13:22.298 --> 00:13:25.278
VIRGINIA: But yet I did on this trip.
00:13:26.018 --> 00:13:28.738
<v SPEAKER_2>How many drinking vessels did you buy over the last trip?
00:13:28.738 --> 00:13:31.438
<v SPEAKER_7>Three.
00:13:31.438 --> 00:13:36.818
VIRGINIA: I think I bought three, but to be fair, one of them is for a giveaway.
00:13:37.098 --> 00:13:38.478
JEANETTE: Yes, that's right.
00:13:38.478 --> 00:13:40.378
VIRGINIA: It's not mine.
00:13:40.378 --> 00:13:43.718
<v SPEAKER_2>I bought four, but one of them was a gift, so it doesn't count.
00:13:43.718 --> 00:13:44.318
<v SPEAKER_2>So three.
00:13:44.318 --> 00:13:46.118
JEANETTE: A gift for you or a gift for somebody else?
00:13:46.178 --> 00:13:47.718
CHRISSY: I don't have to get into some of that.
00:13:54.658 --> 00:13:55.438
<v SPEAKER_2>Listen, I like this.
00:13:55.438 --> 00:13:57.258
<v SPEAKER_7>To be from me.
00:13:57.258 --> 00:14:04.698
<v SPEAKER_2>I forget that I buy things, so you can just wrap it and then go, oh, it's a new gift.
00:14:04.698 --> 00:14:05.858
<v SPEAKER_2>Oh, I forgot I bought this.
00:14:05.858 --> 00:14:07.178
MARIA: Where did this come from?
00:14:08.058 --> 00:14:13.598
JEANETTE: But speaking of gifts, I also bought Nancy Haunted Mansion Ears at World of Disney.
00:14:13.598 --> 00:14:15.158
<v SPEAKER_2>It's my birthday.
00:14:15.158 --> 00:14:16.398
<v SPEAKER_2>They're so cute.
00:14:16.398 --> 00:14:17.638
MARIA: All right.
00:14:19.358 --> 00:14:21.158
MARIA: Did anybody else buy anything at World of Disney?
00:14:21.158 --> 00:14:27.318
CHRISSY: Y'all tried to prepare for me into buying ears, but I stood strong on my no-ear stance, and I still stand by that.
00:14:27.318 --> 00:14:30.378
VIRGINIA: Oh, they did have some really cute ears that I was tempted to get.
00:14:30.378 --> 00:14:34.998
VIRGINIA: They were Ursula ears, but I thought they looked weird on my head, so I didn't get them.
00:14:36.518 --> 00:14:38.318
MARIA: I don't know that I remember seeing you looking at them.
00:14:38.318 --> 00:14:39.038
VIRGINIA: I was by myself.
00:14:39.038 --> 00:14:40.418
MARIA: There was a couple sweatshirts I was looking at.
00:14:40.418 --> 00:14:41.818
VIRGINIA: I snuck away to the ear section.
00:14:42.598 --> 00:14:43.778
CHRISSY: You were stream shopping?
00:14:43.858 --> 00:14:46.398
<v SPEAKER_2>You had the cotton plant and played it.
00:14:48.658 --> 00:14:50.038
CHRISSY: I snuck away to the plush section.
00:14:50.038 --> 00:14:50.498
MARIA: I understand.
00:14:50.498 --> 00:14:51.858
NANCI: I get it.
00:14:53.718 --> 00:15:00.578
MARIA: I was tempted by a lot of plushes, and I decided not to get any as a 40-whatever-year-old woman.
00:15:00.578 --> 00:15:01.658
MARIA: I decided not to for now.
00:15:01.658 --> 00:15:03.138
JEANETTE: Plushes are back, and they're cute.
00:15:03.598 --> 00:15:06.538
NANCI: And they're weighted, so they're good for anxiety.
00:15:06.538 --> 00:15:08.078
NANCI: They're so good.
00:15:09.738 --> 00:15:10.678
MARIA: So good.
00:15:10.678 --> 00:15:18.078
MARIA: So then we went to dinner over at Summer House on the lake, and we had a lovely server, and we had great drinks.
00:15:18.078 --> 00:15:19.838
MARIA: We had great food.
00:15:19.838 --> 00:15:23.778
MARIA: I, honest to God, do not remember what I ate, but I remembered loving it.
00:15:23.778 --> 00:15:26.258
MARIA: And that's why I had some gin cocktail, which was great.
00:15:26.258 --> 00:15:26.918
<v SPEAKER_2>I loved it.
00:15:26.918 --> 00:15:27.638
VIRGINIA: A new favorite.
00:15:27.638 --> 00:15:31.178
VIRGINIA: In fact, I immediately made a reservation for my next trip coming up.
00:15:32.378 --> 00:15:32.738
MARIA: Oh, yeah.
00:15:32.738 --> 00:15:39.138
<v SPEAKER_2>I've already spoken to several people I know that are going about this place and that it should be part of their stop.
00:15:39.138 --> 00:15:47.458
<v SPEAKER_2>And in particular, because of the cookies we got at the end, that I've been a Gideon's ride or die forever.
00:15:47.458 --> 00:15:50.538
<v SPEAKER_2>The cookies here, they're now my new favorite.
00:15:50.538 --> 00:15:54.138
<v SPEAKER_2>Although I do miss Gideon's little gothy style.
00:15:54.218 --> 00:15:57.418
<v SPEAKER_2>I like the almond cookie was so good.
00:15:57.418 --> 00:15:59.098
<v SPEAKER_2>And then the banana cookie.
00:15:59.098 --> 00:16:01.758
<v SPEAKER_2>I almost want to cry thinking about it right now.
00:16:01.778 --> 00:16:03.858
VIRGINIA: I will be back to Gideon's for cold brew.
00:16:03.858 --> 00:16:09.158
VIRGINIA: But I'm a new cookie devotee to Summer House on the Lake.
00:16:09.158 --> 00:16:12.878
JEANETTE: I mean, I love this because I've always been a little bit anti-Gideon's.
00:16:12.878 --> 00:16:14.258
JEANETTE: Although I haven't had the cold brew.
00:16:14.258 --> 00:16:15.398
JEANETTE: So I would try the cold brew.
00:16:15.398 --> 00:16:17.898
JEANETTE: And maybe that would change my mind to some extent.
00:16:17.898 --> 00:16:20.018
JEANETTE: But I never liked the cookies.
00:16:20.518 --> 00:16:22.718
NANCI: Talk about a hot take, Maria.
00:16:24.278 --> 00:16:25.938
MARIA: I know, seriously.
00:16:25.938 --> 00:16:33.858
MARIA: I still think I might be on team Gideon for cookies, but the Rice Krispie Treats that I have had from Summer House on the Lake are A+++.
00:16:34.838 --> 00:16:37.598
CHRISSY: You can have a Rice Krispie Treat the size of your face.
00:16:39.818 --> 00:16:40.898
MARIA: Oh, the size of her face!
00:16:40.898 --> 00:16:43.618
MARIA: It's like the size of a Rubik's Cube.
00:16:43.618 --> 00:16:46.218
<v SPEAKER_2>Chrissy's face is the size of a Rubik's Cube.
00:16:48.478 --> 00:16:52.138
MARIA: Anyway, Chrissy's face is the size of a Rubik's Cube, ladies and gentlemen.
00:16:52.138 --> 00:16:53.778
CHRISSY: Please do not tell lies about me on the internet.
00:16:53.778 --> 00:16:54.698
MARIA: She's a pint-sized princess.
00:16:54.698 --> 00:16:56.838
NANCI: I will never solve it.
00:16:56.838 --> 00:16:58.918
MARIA: Too late, too late.
00:16:58.918 --> 00:17:10.758
MARIA: So after our delicious, wonderful dinner and cookies, we did a little shopping, we went to Disney Style, we looked at a couple shirts, we were tempted, but I don't think anybody purchased there.
00:17:10.818 --> 00:17:13.178
MARIA: We stopped at the ganache.
00:17:13.178 --> 00:17:14.598
JEANETTE: Jeanette, do you want to talk about the ganachery?
00:17:14.598 --> 00:17:15.898
JEANETTE: I love the ganachery.
00:17:15.898 --> 00:17:24.978
JEANETTE: It's become a tradition that every time I go to Disney World, I bring my husband back a box of ganachery truffles, which I share with him.
00:17:25.878 --> 00:17:34.338
JEANETTE: Everybody who I have lured into the ganachery to try a bite of chocolate has found that they enjoy it too.
00:17:34.338 --> 00:17:38.618
JEANETTE: So I think it's an underrated spot in Disney Springs.
00:17:40.598 --> 00:17:44.618
VIRGINIA: I did, and I was forced to share them with Alex.
00:17:44.618 --> 00:17:46.178
VIRGINIA: He did not appreciate them.
00:17:46.178 --> 00:17:47.218
MARIA: What did he think?
00:17:47.218 --> 00:17:48.378
VIRGINIA: I mean, he ate them.
00:17:48.378 --> 00:17:49.638
VIRGINIA: Don't get me wrong.
00:17:49.638 --> 00:17:50.858
VIRGINIA: He liked them fine.
00:17:50.958 --> 00:17:55.878
VIRGINIA: It was like he wanted a sweet treat, but there were a couple flavors he didn't like where he ate it.
00:17:55.878 --> 00:17:58.758
VIRGINIA: Then he was like, I don't like this, and he spit it out.
00:18:00.778 --> 00:18:01.818
VIRGINIA: It's too expensive.
00:18:01.818 --> 00:18:04.998
VIRGINIA: I'm never getting you expensive chocolates again.
00:18:05.318 --> 00:18:07.198
VIRGINIA: To be fair, I didn't get them for him this time anyway.
00:18:07.278 --> 00:18:10.178
VIRGINIA: They were for me, but I spit them because I'm a good mom.
00:18:10.178 --> 00:18:12.018
NANCI: Maybe too good.
00:18:15.498 --> 00:18:26.718
MARIA: After the ganachery, we headed over to Uniqlo because we all, I think, dressed appropriately, packed appropriately from the waist up.
00:18:26.718 --> 00:18:34.038
MARIA: At least for me, I didn't think that it didn't dawn on me that my legs would be cold, so I just brought running pants and leggings.
00:18:34.998 --> 00:18:45.738
MARIA: We went to Uniqlo and tried to find warm clothes and warm layers because girls needed some long johns and long underwear and it was cold.
00:18:45.738 --> 00:18:48.218
MARIA: So we did find some layering pieces.
00:18:48.238 --> 00:18:50.498
<v SPEAKER_2>You wore them in New York.
00:18:50.498 --> 00:18:51.898
CHRISSY: Talk about hotcakes.
00:18:51.898 --> 00:18:53.618
MARIA: The men's long johns.
00:18:54.858 --> 00:19:07.898
MARIA: Uniqlo sizes are not exactly size inclusive to people with some extra junk in the trunk like myself, so we went over to the men's section and I had to buy, I gladly bought them because they kept me nice and warm.
00:19:07.898 --> 00:19:09.958
MARIA: Men's tights are fewer than calling mites.
00:19:09.958 --> 00:19:12.078
MARIA: And yes, I have already worn them in New York.
00:19:12.078 --> 00:19:16.758
VIRGINIA: They have three levels of warmth at Uniqlo that I noticed.
00:19:16.758 --> 00:19:20.878
VIRGINIA: There was like a very lightweight one, a medium one and like a thicker one.
00:19:20.878 --> 00:19:24.818
VIRGINIA: I personally ended up getting the medium heaviness or whatever.
00:19:24.818 --> 00:19:29.058
VIRGINIA: And it was still thin enough that I was wearing them under my jeans.
00:19:29.058 --> 00:19:31.018
VIRGINIA: And it didn't feel like I was wearing long johns.
00:19:31.538 --> 00:19:34.598
VIRGINIA: I highly recommend Uniqlo for layers like that.
00:19:34.598 --> 00:19:37.598
VIRGINIA: I will definitely be continuing to use those.
00:19:39.618 --> 00:19:41.158
MARIA: I think mine were like $20 each.
00:19:41.158 --> 00:19:45.198
MARIA: And I think that they were, it was the best $20 I spent on this trip.
00:19:45.198 --> 00:19:48.658
MARIA: And then we knew we were going to be getting up early for Road Drop the next day.
00:19:48.658 --> 00:19:53.938
MARIA: So we went back to the bus and got ready for bed in our big family suite.
00:19:53.938 --> 00:19:54.938
VIRGINIA: That was a great arrival day.
00:19:56.058 --> 00:20:03.898
VIRGINIA: So, Nanci, why don't you tell us all about the Thursday, January 23rd, our first full day.
00:20:03.898 --> 00:20:07.918
<v SPEAKER_2>Our first full day, we spent it at Magic Kingdom.
00:20:07.918 --> 00:20:12.038
<v SPEAKER_2>I know we started the parks the day before, before our first full day.
00:20:12.038 --> 00:20:13.498
<v SPEAKER_2>It was really nice to be at Magic Kingdom.
00:20:13.498 --> 00:20:20.058
<v SPEAKER_2>We arrived at 8th to Rope Drop Tron, which was exciting, I think, because I had only been able to ride it once.
00:20:20.058 --> 00:20:22.858
<v SPEAKER_2>So it was exciting to get there and be able to do that.
00:20:23.098 --> 00:20:33.398
<v SPEAKER_2>Some of us got some Joffreys, some of us got some Mickey Waffles with Extra Nutella, and some of us got some Bubble Bread, which was pretty great.
00:20:33.418 --> 00:20:35.298
<v SPEAKER_2>I very much appreciated that.
00:20:35.298 --> 00:20:42.158
VIRGINIA: I know a couple of people ordered Extra Nutella, and I will say I did not, and I regretted it a little bit.
00:20:42.278 --> 00:20:44.518
JEANETTE: I would have shared some of mine with you, Virginia.
00:20:47.598 --> 00:21:06.178
MARIA: My hot take on the new Fruit Nutella Waffle is that it used to be just sliced up strawberries and blueberries, and now these strawberries have been macerated slightly, so it's in a liquid, so it makes your waffle very soggy.
00:21:06.178 --> 00:21:11.178
MARIA: So my hot tip, maybe it's not a hot take, it's more of a hot tip, is to ask for these strawberries.
00:21:11.178 --> 00:21:22.838
MARIA: In the My Disney Experience app, when you're doing the mobile order, you can ask for the berries on the side, and then you can put them on yourself and strain them a little bit with a fork so that your waffle doesn't get super...
00:21:22.838 --> 00:21:24.358
VIRGINIA: That's a great tip, Maria.
00:21:24.358 --> 00:21:32.098
JEANETTE: That being said, it was my first time having these waffles, and I very much enjoyed them, even if they were moist.
00:21:32.098 --> 00:21:33.598
JEANETTE: I thought that they were delicious.
00:21:33.598 --> 00:21:40.478
JEANETTE: I know they don't compare to the old one, and that is what I've been told, but my newbie experience enjoyed them very much.
00:21:40.918 --> 00:21:47.918
CHRISSY: Once we figured out the order of the berries on the sides, you don't dump all the liquid on the waffle, it was pretty close.
00:21:47.918 --> 00:21:48.678
NANCI: It's cute.
00:21:48.678 --> 00:21:49.858
NANCI: It's Mickey.
00:21:52.198 --> 00:21:54.518
MARIA: There was less nutella than I would have liked.
00:21:54.518 --> 00:21:56.498
VIRGINIA: But I think the old one had better.
00:21:56.498 --> 00:21:57.398
MARIA: Or more nutella, I should say.
00:21:57.398 --> 00:22:01.938
<v SPEAKER_2>I think we need to understand that the waffle is really the vehicle for the nutella.
00:22:03.718 --> 00:22:05.258
<v SPEAKER_2>I always want more nutella.
00:22:05.298 --> 00:22:07.398
<v SPEAKER_2>Well, you and I got extra.
00:22:07.398 --> 00:22:07.998
<v SPEAKER_2>We shared.
00:22:07.998 --> 00:22:08.618
<v SPEAKER_2>I loved it.
00:22:08.618 --> 00:22:10.958
<v SPEAKER_2>I'm always happy to get that.
00:22:10.958 --> 00:22:14.518
<v SPEAKER_2>And then we got on to getting on some rides.
00:22:14.518 --> 00:22:17.778
<v SPEAKER_2>First, we started with the Haunted Mansion Lightning Lane.
00:22:17.778 --> 00:22:23.138
<v SPEAKER_2>And I was very happy to go on that as it is always one of my favorites.
00:22:23.138 --> 00:22:26.498
<v SPEAKER_2>We did get a picture after the mansion, which is nice.
00:22:26.498 --> 00:22:28.998
<v SPEAKER_2>I've never done that before, I don't think.
00:22:28.998 --> 00:22:30.258
<v SPEAKER_2>If I did, I don't remember it.
00:22:30.258 --> 00:22:31.798
<v SPEAKER_2>And it was really cute.
00:22:31.798 --> 00:22:34.398
<v SPEAKER_7>And we got to go into Memento Mori, the store.
00:22:34.678 --> 00:22:42.618
<v SPEAKER_2>And I will tell you, last time I went, I was not very pleased at the selection of Haunted Mansion merchandise.
00:22:42.618 --> 00:22:46.378
<v SPEAKER_2>It ends up usually being very cartoony.
00:22:46.378 --> 00:22:49.338
<v SPEAKER_2>And there's not a lot of variety.
00:22:49.338 --> 00:22:51.018
<v SPEAKER_2>They have changed that somewhat.
00:22:51.018 --> 00:22:54.638
<v SPEAKER_2>And there were a lot of really great options.
00:22:54.638 --> 00:23:03.858
<v SPEAKER_2>And not as cartoony, really cute, made my head want to explode because I wanted everything, including the weighted blanket that I am now upset.
00:23:03.958 --> 00:23:05.458
<v SPEAKER_7>I did not buy.
00:23:07.558 --> 00:23:10.318
MARIA: Nanci, carrying that home would have been such a cross.
00:23:10.378 --> 00:23:12.698
MARIA: It was the right decision to make.
00:23:13.878 --> 00:23:16.038
VIRGINIA: You should have bought it and then had it shipped home.
00:23:16.038 --> 00:23:17.518
MARIA: I guess, yeah.
00:23:18.698 --> 00:23:21.438
MARIA: How expensive would it have been to ship something that was like 35 pounds?
00:23:21.918 --> 00:23:29.358
VIRGINIA: I don't know whether it's still the case in the park because I know at Disney Springs, they no longer offer the delivery service.
00:23:29.358 --> 00:23:30.998
VIRGINIA: You have to go to the little FedEx location.
00:23:31.418 --> 00:23:40.218
VIRGINIA: But I think when I have bought things in the park before, it was like a flat raid or it was like no more than 30.
00:23:42.118 --> 00:23:52.498
MARIA: Don't tell Nancy that because she's going to make you buy that blanket next month when you go on your family trip and then use your flat rate shipping to get it home.
00:23:52.558 --> 00:23:55.978
MARIA: Not that I'm putting any ideas into anyone's brain, but.
00:23:57.538 --> 00:24:00.438
VIRGINIA: I may not go to Memento Mori this trip.
00:24:02.418 --> 00:24:03.238
VIRGINIA: I think that's a good choice.
00:24:03.238 --> 00:24:03.958
<v SPEAKER_2>It was really nice.
00:24:03.958 --> 00:24:05.678
<v SPEAKER_2>It was really nice to see a bunch of things.
00:24:05.678 --> 00:24:14.858
<v SPEAKER_2>I still like I had a dream about the sweatshirt that has the gargoyle on it yesterday, so I really loved all of it.
00:24:14.858 --> 00:24:19.578
<v SPEAKER_2>And then we got to go to the amazing Rapunzel bathroom.
00:24:19.578 --> 00:24:21.378
<v SPEAKER_2>I do actually love the Rapunzel bathroom.
00:24:21.458 --> 00:24:24.078
<v SPEAKER_2>I think it's so pretty every time we go.
00:24:24.078 --> 00:24:34.898
JEANETTE: I want to pay a compliment to our group, which is we all needed to go to the bathroom at the same time, which was nearly every time we went.
00:24:38.818 --> 00:24:48.778
MARIA: Sometime mine was just like everyone else is going, so I feel like I should just go so as to not throw off the rhythm of the later bathroom, you know, the rest of the day.
00:24:48.778 --> 00:24:50.858
MARIA: But I do appreciate all of the bathroom trips.
00:24:50.918 --> 00:24:55.058
<v SPEAKER_2>Delightful to go with people who all sent in to go to the bathroom all the time.
00:24:55.058 --> 00:24:56.218
<v SPEAKER_2>I appreciate it.
00:24:56.218 --> 00:24:59.538
<v SPEAKER_2>And then we got to go to, it's a Small World.
00:24:59.538 --> 00:25:03.458
<v SPEAKER_2>I always like it, but I only want to go one time a trip.
00:25:03.458 --> 00:25:04.118
<v SPEAKER_2>Only once.
00:25:04.118 --> 00:25:06.198
<v SPEAKER_2>I don't know how anybody else feels about that.
00:25:06.198 --> 00:25:07.678
VIRGINIA: Yeah, one is enough.
00:25:07.678 --> 00:25:09.578
VIRGINIA: One is enough.
00:25:09.578 --> 00:25:14.958
JEANETTE: We spent this trip discussing which Small World character I should get tattooed on my body.
00:25:14.958 --> 00:25:16.678
<v SPEAKER_2>That is true, and there are several.
00:25:16.678 --> 00:25:19.358
<v SPEAKER_2>I think you should just get a full sleeve of Small World.
00:25:19.618 --> 00:25:23.838
NANCI: No skin lack, just all Mary Blair inspired artwork.
00:25:23.838 --> 00:25:28.858
CHRISSY: I was going to say just all tiny dolls, but Mary Blair artwork sounds better.
00:25:31.638 --> 00:25:32.738
<v SPEAKER_2>Then we did another.
00:25:32.738 --> 00:25:39.638
<v SPEAKER_2>I don't think I had been in years on the carousel, but it was so sweet.
00:25:39.638 --> 00:25:41.658
<v SPEAKER_2>I really did enjoy going on the carousel.
00:25:41.658 --> 00:25:43.678
<v SPEAKER_2>We did the carousel this time.
00:25:45.858 --> 00:25:51.858
MARIA: We all were in one big row, and for some reason, the shortest person had to get on the horse.
00:25:51.858 --> 00:25:53.358
MARIA: That was the highest up.
00:25:53.358 --> 00:25:56.338
MARIA: I mounted that steed and rode it around.
00:25:56.338 --> 00:26:02.158
CHRISSY: Virginia specifically found a horse for me that was lower, but was like, screw that other Cajono.
00:26:02.158 --> 00:26:03.078
MARIA: She could find her own horse.
00:26:03.078 --> 00:26:05.478
MARIA: I was like, screw her.
00:26:05.478 --> 00:26:08.238
JEANETTE: I mean, none of us had called her a horse.
00:26:08.238 --> 00:26:09.178
VIRGINIA: Here's the thing.
00:26:09.178 --> 00:26:12.618
VIRGINIA: As I walked over, I intentionally was going to get on the lowest horse.
00:26:12.618 --> 00:26:19.438
VIRGINIA: But then here comes Chrissy and I was like, I can't let Chrissy climb up on to a higher horse than me.
00:26:20.998 --> 00:26:22.218
VIRGINIA: Yeah, get off your horse.
00:26:22.218 --> 00:26:23.938
MARIA: Always on a high horse.
00:26:25.498 --> 00:26:27.578
VIRGINIA: So anyway, I saved this for you.
00:26:27.578 --> 00:26:29.178
VIRGINIA: But really, I saw her coming.
00:26:29.178 --> 00:26:31.698
VIRGINIA: I was like, there's no way I can let this happen.
00:26:33.358 --> 00:26:34.878
MARIA: She is the resident little switcher.
00:26:34.878 --> 00:26:35.478
MARIA: Very nice of you.
00:26:35.898 --> 00:26:37.238
MARIA: Very benevolent.
00:26:37.278 --> 00:26:38.718
CHRISSY: It would have been fine if it wasn't a running start.
00:26:38.718 --> 00:26:40.218
MARIA: Physically and age-wise.
00:26:42.718 --> 00:26:48.918
<v SPEAKER_2>And then after we did the carousel, we got to meet up with Molly, Virginia's friend.
00:26:48.918 --> 00:26:50.418
<v SPEAKER_2>You want to talk a little bit about that?
00:26:50.418 --> 00:26:50.958
CHRISSY: Yeah.
00:26:50.958 --> 00:26:56.978
VIRGINIA: So my friend Molly, who is Magic Memories with Molly, who has been on the podcast, we got off the carousel.
00:26:56.978 --> 00:26:58.638
VIRGINIA: And I knew she was sort of in the area.
00:26:58.638 --> 00:27:01.878
VIRGINIA: But when we got off the carousel, I heard Virginia.
00:27:01.878 --> 00:27:02.938
VIRGINIA: And I turned around.
00:27:02.938 --> 00:27:03.638
VIRGINIA: And there she was.
00:27:03.638 --> 00:27:05.438
VIRGINIA: And we both started jumping and screaming.
00:27:06.338 --> 00:27:09.098
VIRGINIA: And it was so much fun.
00:27:09.098 --> 00:27:10.458
VIRGINIA: It was great to meet her.
00:27:10.458 --> 00:27:17.238
VIRGINIA: We stood and talked for a few minutes while a couple of other people went and got some glitter in their hair.
00:27:17.238 --> 00:27:17.698
VIRGINIA: Excuse me.
00:27:17.698 --> 00:27:19.058
VIRGINIA: I mean, pixie dusting.
00:27:22.758 --> 00:27:28.438
VIRGINIA: Anyway, it was really cool to meet her in person after talking to her multiple times.
00:27:28.438 --> 00:27:30.518
VIRGINIA: And I love her so much.
00:27:32.318 --> 00:27:34.078
MARIA: Yeah, it was very nice to meet her.
00:27:34.078 --> 00:27:35.118
MARIA: She was very welcoming.
00:27:35.338 --> 00:27:41.718
MARIA: As far as the pixie dusting goes, I think I have been pixie dusted before because I am not afraid of glitter.
00:27:41.718 --> 00:27:43.738
MARIA: But I think it was definitely Nanci's first time.
00:27:43.738 --> 00:27:44.178
JEANETTE: It was my first time.
00:27:44.178 --> 00:27:45.918
MARIA: It was your first time getting pixie dusted as well.
00:27:45.918 --> 00:27:53.398
JEANETTE: If my memory is correct, I kind of peer pressured y'all into it because I was like, I've never been pixie dusted.
00:27:53.398 --> 00:27:55.778
NANCI: Will someone come and pixie dust with me?
00:27:55.778 --> 00:27:57.458
<v SPEAKER_7>Does that sound right?
00:27:57.458 --> 00:28:03.958
MARIA: I mean, that is the easiest peer pressuring because I love glitter and I do not care.
00:28:04.618 --> 00:28:06.378
MARIA: Chrissy and I shared a bed for this trip.
00:28:06.378 --> 00:28:08.818
MARIA: She's like, you're getting pixie dust in our bed.
00:28:08.818 --> 00:28:15.318
MARIA: And I also sleep with a sleep bonnet on to protect my hair because I am bougie, as we've already said.
00:28:15.318 --> 00:28:19.558
MARIA: So I just, the inside of my sleep bonnet, it needs to be washed.
00:28:19.558 --> 00:28:26.698
<v SPEAKER_2>I mean, that is the only reason I paused for a second because it was cold again that day and I was wearing Chrissy's hat.
00:28:26.698 --> 00:28:31.618
<v SPEAKER_2>I was like, oh no, I can't get pixie dusted and get pixie dust all up in Chrissy's hat.
00:28:31.618 --> 00:28:37.918
<v SPEAKER_2>But then I just decided to have cold ears for the rest of the day so I could get pixie dusted worth it.
00:28:37.918 --> 00:28:40.018
CHRISSY: I would not have cared if you glitter bombed my hat.
00:28:40.038 --> 00:28:41.898
CHRISSY: You were wearing one that I got for free.
00:28:41.898 --> 00:28:43.438
<v SPEAKER_2>I couldn't do it to you.
00:28:43.438 --> 00:28:44.998
<v SPEAKER_2>That stuff lasts.
00:28:46.978 --> 00:28:50.298
<v SPEAKER_2>Glitter is the STD of the craft world.
00:28:50.298 --> 00:28:53.218
CHRISSY: You know that I thought it, but I didn't say it.
00:28:55.018 --> 00:28:58.658
MARIA: I think we did an unedited version and then the one that goes live.
00:28:58.658 --> 00:28:59.018
<v SPEAKER_2>All right.
00:28:59.018 --> 00:29:02.978
<v SPEAKER_2>So we got to get pixie dusted and then we went to guest stalls.
00:29:04.118 --> 00:29:04.838
<v SPEAKER_2>What did we get there?
00:29:04.838 --> 00:29:06.938
<v SPEAKER_2>I can't remember.
00:29:06.938 --> 00:29:08.378
CHRISSY: There was a creme brulee croissant.
00:29:08.378 --> 00:29:09.678
CHRISSY: The creme brulee.
00:29:09.678 --> 00:29:10.958
VIRGINIA: It was fine.
00:29:10.958 --> 00:29:11.458
VIRGINIA: Croissant.
00:29:11.458 --> 00:29:13.598
VIRGINIA: I ate it.
00:29:13.598 --> 00:29:18.338
VIRGINIA: I'm not recalling whether I really liked it or not, which says to me I probably didn't.
00:29:18.338 --> 00:29:22.198
CHRISSY: In the moment, you were like, glad I tried it, don't need it again.
00:29:22.198 --> 00:29:24.278
VIRGINIA: Thank you, Chrissy, for being my memory.
00:29:24.858 --> 00:29:26.018
CHRISSY: It's because I'm younger.
00:29:26.018 --> 00:29:27.718
<v SPEAKER_7>How dare you.
00:29:27.718 --> 00:29:28.878
<v SPEAKER_7>You are in your point.
00:29:31.078 --> 00:29:33.118
VIRGINIA: Get out of my recording studio.
00:29:34.018 --> 00:29:35.878
NANCI: After she gave you that horse.
00:29:35.878 --> 00:29:43.298
VIRGINIA: Now, just because you're all of our collective baby sister, you think you can just call out the age jokes?
00:29:43.298 --> 00:29:46.338
CHRISSY: I am the collective baby sister on this trip.
00:29:46.338 --> 00:29:54.538
CHRISSY: The Crumber Lay croissant, yeah, it was like one bite was okay, two bites you were like, this is just overwhelmingly sweet.
00:29:54.538 --> 00:29:55.538
CHRISSY: I'm glad we split it.
00:29:55.938 --> 00:29:57.238
<v SPEAKER_2>Not for me.
00:29:57.238 --> 00:30:00.718
<v SPEAKER_2>And then we went to we did The Little Mermaid.
00:30:03.118 --> 00:30:04.358
MARIA: Which I haven't done ages ago.
00:30:04.358 --> 00:30:11.538
<v SPEAKER_2>I think I said this before and I maintain that the King Triton looks like a drag queen in it, which I appreciate.
00:30:11.538 --> 00:30:19.058
CHRISSY: I was just happy all the animatronics in Under the Sea were fully functioning and everybody was dancey dancing.
00:30:19.058 --> 00:30:20.338
CHRISSY: Sometimes that doesn't happen.
00:30:20.338 --> 00:30:25.758
JEANETTE: The live action movie doesn't have any animals dancing, doesn't have any animals singing.
00:30:25.758 --> 00:30:28.038
JEANETTE: I guess there's dolphins dancing.
00:30:28.038 --> 00:30:32.618
JEANETTE: But that scene in the ride, I was like, this is what the live action movie is missing.
00:30:32.618 --> 00:30:33.338
JEANETTE: Is this so right here?
00:30:33.338 --> 00:30:35.498
<v SPEAKER_7>That's a right idea.
00:30:35.498 --> 00:30:37.298
<v SPEAKER_2>And then we went off and had lunch.
00:30:37.298 --> 00:30:41.318
<v SPEAKER_2>So, let's got corndogs, which I also love.
00:30:41.318 --> 00:30:42.658
VIRGINIA: Oh, this is when we split up.
00:30:42.658 --> 00:30:52.958
VIRGINIA: Yeah, some people went to Casey's corner and some, meaning me, I think, went to Pecos Bill and then everybody came and shared a table at Pecos Bill.
00:30:53.318 --> 00:31:03.538
JEANETTE: And I went to Friars Nook and had my heart broken because I always love to get a side of tots with a side of cheese and you can't do that anymore.
00:31:03.538 --> 00:31:08.738
JEANETTE: You have to get this giant bowl of tots that is just ridiculous.
00:31:08.738 --> 00:31:27.558
JEANETTE: So, I had this giant bowl of tots like the size of like a mixing bowl and my side of cheese and I walked with a tray with open tots and open cheese all the way from Fantasyland to Paco Spell with rain and a slight rain into my tots and it was really sad.
00:31:27.558 --> 00:31:30.518
NANCI: It was a very sad moment for me.
00:31:30.958 --> 00:31:38.998
MARIA: I am sorry that you had a crappy experience, but I had corn dog nuggets the first time we had corn dog nuggets and they were just a dream.
00:31:38.998 --> 00:31:39.798
JEANETTE: I loved them so much.
00:31:39.798 --> 00:31:44.178
JEANETTE: It only reinforces that Columbia Harbor House is now my new favorite.
00:31:44.178 --> 00:31:51.258
CHRISSY: I also appreciated that I don't know if it was Maria or Nanci, but had the wherewithal to be like, hey, Casey's, do you have a to go box?
00:31:51.258 --> 00:31:54.098
CHRISSY: Thank you, Nanci, because I was just going to run over to Fagel's Bill.
00:31:54.098 --> 00:31:57.958
JEANETTE: And you would have been sad with your corn dog nuggets getting rained on.
00:31:57.958 --> 00:32:01.218
CHRISSY: Yeah, I would have been sad about my soggy, soggy nuggets.
00:32:01.218 --> 00:32:09.138
<v SPEAKER_2>Okay, after lunch, we got to finally go for my first time on the new Tiana ride.
00:32:09.138 --> 00:32:11.038
VIRGINIA: I think it was all of our first times at Suffrage and Att.
00:32:11.038 --> 00:32:12.178
<v SPEAKER_2>It was so sweet.
00:32:12.178 --> 00:32:13.218
<v SPEAKER_2>I really liked it.
00:32:13.218 --> 00:32:22.038
<v SPEAKER_2>And I'm somebody who really loves Last Mountain and mourned when we were told it was going to leave.
00:32:22.038 --> 00:32:24.438
<v SPEAKER_7>I am so glad Tiana got a ride.
00:32:24.438 --> 00:32:26.518
<v SPEAKER_2>First of all, she's an amazing princess.
00:32:26.798 --> 00:32:28.838
<v SPEAKER_2>I love that movie.
00:32:28.838 --> 00:32:31.278
<v SPEAKER_2>And they did a really good job with it.
00:32:33.398 --> 00:32:34.558
CHRISSY: I really liked it.
00:32:34.558 --> 00:32:40.198
MARIA: My only complaint, not necessarily because of the ride, but again, as you said, that day was rainy.
00:32:40.198 --> 00:32:43.758
MARIA: So we had ponchos on because it was raining.
00:32:44.238 --> 00:32:51.958
MARIA: I had on a plastic shoe covers because I didn't want my shoes to get wet and the floor was kind of slippery.
00:32:51.958 --> 00:32:55.398
MARIA: When I sat down, I sat in some water.
00:32:56.618 --> 00:33:00.218
MARIA: I want to go on it again when I'm dry and it's warm.
00:33:00.218 --> 00:33:05.258
MARIA: Because the picture, I look like a crazy woman.
00:33:05.258 --> 00:33:08.218
MARIA: I've got the poncho cinched around my face.
00:33:08.218 --> 00:33:10.658
MARIA: I'm holding it because it doesn't have a drawstring.
00:33:10.658 --> 00:33:12.378
MARIA: The picture is hysterical.
00:33:12.378 --> 00:33:13.258
MARIA: I loved the ride.
00:33:13.598 --> 00:33:17.618
VIRGINIA: Is this the picture where because the rain was on the camera, it looks like I'm missing a hand?
00:33:17.618 --> 00:33:18.318
MARIA: Uh-huh.
00:33:18.318 --> 00:33:19.418
<v SPEAKER_2>Yes.
00:33:19.418 --> 00:33:20.818
MARIA: That was the first of many pictures.
00:33:20.818 --> 00:33:23.798
VIRGINIA: I'm going to Photoshop a hook onto my hand.
00:33:26.178 --> 00:33:27.318
<v SPEAKER_7>I need you to do that.
00:33:27.318 --> 00:33:35.278
<v SPEAKER_2>I also had those rubber silicone shoe covers, and mine broke about 45 seconds after putting it on.
00:33:35.278 --> 00:33:36.438
<v SPEAKER_2>I was okay.
00:33:36.438 --> 00:33:36.698
VIRGINIA: Yes.
00:33:36.698 --> 00:33:38.438
VIRGINIA: Luckily, I had a backup pair.
00:33:38.438 --> 00:33:42.238
JEANETTE: The shoe covers were helpful, but also created chaos.
00:33:45.258 --> 00:33:45.938
JEANETTE: You fell.
00:33:45.938 --> 00:33:46.818
NANCI: I mean, I did fall.
00:33:46.818 --> 00:33:47.978
NANCI: It was rough.
00:33:49.758 --> 00:33:50.538
NANCI: I almost fell.
00:33:51.218 --> 00:33:52.258
<v SPEAKER_7>Didn't it?
00:33:52.258 --> 00:33:54.298
JEANETTE: And then like five seconds later, you did.
00:33:54.298 --> 00:33:55.638
NANCI: It was so bad.
00:33:55.638 --> 00:34:06.018
VIRGINIA: Well, I got my pair as an insurance policy, but I have to say, while very expensive, my waterproof on-cloud sneakers were 100% waterproof.
00:34:06.018 --> 00:34:06.898
JEANETTE: That's magic.
00:34:06.898 --> 00:34:08.098
VIRGINIA: Highly recommend.
00:34:08.098 --> 00:34:08.398
VIRGINIA: Loved them.
00:34:09.038 --> 00:34:15.778
<v SPEAKER_2>And then we got to go to the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki room and get some Dole Whips, which is always fun.
00:34:15.778 --> 00:34:18.258
NANCI: Even though it was so cold, we braved it.
00:34:18.258 --> 00:34:19.878
JEANETTE: We braved our Dole Whips.
00:34:19.878 --> 00:34:23.158
<v SPEAKER_2>I'm not missing an opportunity to have a Dole Whip.
00:34:23.158 --> 00:34:28.058
<v SPEAKER_2>I'd have it here in the 20 degree weather if I had to.
00:34:28.058 --> 00:34:32.318
<v SPEAKER_2>And then after that, we got to go onto the Carousel of Progress.
00:34:32.318 --> 00:34:39.778
<v SPEAKER_2>But I think each and every one of us fully took advantage of taking that 20-minute nap.
00:34:40.138 --> 00:34:42.118
MARIA: I stayed awake for the entire thing.
00:34:42.118 --> 00:34:47.458
MARIA: And I looked around and I was, Jeanette and I were like clocking each other that we're awake.
00:34:47.458 --> 00:34:51.498
MARIA: Literally everyone else is like asleep, asleep, asleep, like head back.
00:34:51.498 --> 00:34:54.898
CHRISSY: I do not even think I made it off the first screen.
00:34:54.898 --> 00:34:55.858
<v SPEAKER_2>I didn't.
00:34:55.858 --> 00:34:56.478
<v SPEAKER_2>I didn't.
00:34:56.478 --> 00:34:57.758
VIRGINIA: Oh, I didn't even try to.
00:34:57.758 --> 00:34:59.658
VIRGINIA: Literally, we sat down.
00:34:59.658 --> 00:35:01.138
VIRGINIA: I slumped down on my seat.
00:35:01.138 --> 00:35:03.638
VIRGINIA: I put my hood down over my eyes.
00:35:04.178 --> 00:35:06.098
VIRGINIA: And I was like, night girls.
00:35:06.098 --> 00:35:08.778
VIRGINIA: And I purposefully was taking a nap.
00:35:09.078 --> 00:35:12.158
VIRGINIA: I did not even hear the beginning notes of the song.
00:35:12.158 --> 00:35:12.778
JEANETTE: I tried.
00:35:12.778 --> 00:35:14.438
NANCI: I looked at you, Virginia.
00:35:14.438 --> 00:35:17.058
JEANETTE: And I was like, oh, that's a good technique.
00:35:17.058 --> 00:35:22.058
JEANETTE: And I slumped down and immediately felt like a sharp, sharp nerve pain of my back.
00:35:22.058 --> 00:35:25.598
NANCI: It was like, oh, no, that's not going to work.
00:35:25.598 --> 00:35:26.478
MARIA: I am a little sad.
00:35:26.538 --> 00:35:31.918
<v SPEAKER_2>I didn't get to see the animatronics that looks like Norm MacDonald, though.
00:35:31.918 --> 00:35:33.618
<v SPEAKER_2>I missed him.
00:35:33.618 --> 00:35:35.258
JEANETTE: He'll still be there next time.
00:35:35.258 --> 00:35:36.458
MARIA: He really does.
00:35:36.458 --> 00:35:44.678
<v SPEAKER_2>And then we went to, we were trying to find a few places to kind of be warm in and out of the rain in.
00:35:44.678 --> 00:35:47.538
<v SPEAKER_2>We got to go to the last floor.
00:35:47.538 --> 00:35:53.138
<v SPEAKER_2>And I don't know about you guys, but my joke has never been picked and I'm real salty about it.
00:35:53.138 --> 00:35:54.578
<v SPEAKER_2>I'm very salty about it.
00:35:54.778 --> 00:35:57.618
MARIA: I'm so salty about it.
00:35:57.618 --> 00:36:02.338
MARIA: I'm so salty every time that I don't get picked because it's a funny joke.
00:36:02.338 --> 00:36:03.018
MARIA: Is it the same joke?
00:36:03.018 --> 00:36:05.418
MARIA: I would love to tell my joke to the audience.
00:36:05.418 --> 00:36:06.958
MARIA: Yes.
00:36:06.958 --> 00:36:07.518
MARIA: Yes.
00:36:07.518 --> 00:36:10.718
MARIA: So, what's a pirate's favorite letter, everyone?
00:36:11.958 --> 00:36:15.338
MARIA: You would think it's BRMAT, but really it's the C.
00:36:16.758 --> 00:36:20.998
MARIA: It's like over text, it doesn't go through, but it's a great joke.
00:36:21.118 --> 00:36:22.898
MARIA: I tell it to the people outside of Pirate's Trip, every time.
00:36:23.298 --> 00:36:26.738
VIRGINIA: I'm looking at my text messages, because I was certain I was going to get picked this time.
00:36:26.738 --> 00:36:29.618
JEANETTE: You didn't even tell us the joke, because you're like, no, they're going to say it.
00:36:29.618 --> 00:36:31.718
VIRGINIA: Yeah, I wouldn't, because I was like, it's going to get picked.
00:36:31.718 --> 00:36:33.978
VIRGINIA: I'll tell you if it doesn't get picked.
00:36:33.978 --> 00:36:34.818
VIRGINIA: It did not get picked.
00:36:34.818 --> 00:36:36.298
CHRISSY: She did not tell us.
00:36:38.018 --> 00:36:38.918
JEANETTE: It was a really good joke.
00:36:39.338 --> 00:36:40.058
MARIA: I just don't remember.
00:36:40.058 --> 00:36:42.058
MARIA: Sorry.
00:36:42.218 --> 00:36:43.458
<v SPEAKER_2>I do know that it did get killed.
00:36:43.458 --> 00:36:46.298
VIRGINIA: Hold on.
00:36:46.298 --> 00:36:47.058
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:36:47.058 --> 00:36:50.038
VIRGINIA: My joke was, what's a librarian's favorite vegetable?
00:36:50.038 --> 00:36:50.818
<v SPEAKER_2>What?
00:36:50.818 --> 00:36:52.258
VIRGINIA: Quiet peas.
00:36:54.218 --> 00:36:54.858
VIRGINIA: See?
00:36:54.858 --> 00:36:56.998
VIRGINIA: It's a good, clean vegetable joke.
00:36:56.998 --> 00:36:59.638
JEANETTE: It could be more wholesome than a vegetable joke.
00:36:59.638 --> 00:37:13.098
<v SPEAKER_2>After we got through the disappointment of not having our last Lord joke picked, we got to go to Space Mountain, which is always fun, especially now that they have the classic music again.
00:37:14.318 --> 00:37:19.418
<v SPEAKER_2>Last time we were there, a woman there tried to convince me that it never had any music.
00:37:19.418 --> 00:37:20.438
JEANETTE: It was my cousin.
00:37:20.438 --> 00:37:20.998
JEANETTE: She did.
00:37:20.998 --> 00:37:22.818
NANCI: She tried to say there was never any music.
00:37:22.818 --> 00:37:25.818
<v SPEAKER_2>No, even the woman who was running the ride told us that.
00:37:25.818 --> 00:37:26.918
VIRGINIA: Lies.
00:37:26.918 --> 00:37:29.258
<v SPEAKER_7>I was like, that's weird.
00:37:29.258 --> 00:37:33.178
JEANETTE: I think it had to do with the fact that there was the Christmas party going on.
00:37:33.178 --> 00:37:39.638
NANCI: They just didn't have the music during the day because they were going to have the special Christmas music at night, which it's Disney World.
00:37:39.678 --> 00:37:42.978
JEANETTE: They can't do two different tracks at two different times of the day.
00:37:42.978 --> 00:37:43.618
JEANETTE: Come on, people.
00:37:43.618 --> 00:37:44.578
<v SPEAKER_2>We're here, here.
00:37:44.578 --> 00:37:57.378
CHRISSY: I will say, after Space Mountain, we learned that if you go in a shop and you're like, I want that merch but it's not my size, they can actually look up and tell you exactly which store has your size.
00:37:57.458 --> 00:38:03.018
CHRISSY: That was mighty convenient because I was not ready for a manhunt for a Spirit Jersey in the rain.
00:38:03.018 --> 00:38:05.598
CHRISSY: They were like, nope, it's available right across the street.
00:38:05.598 --> 00:38:07.818
CHRISSY: Please go over there and it was magic.
00:38:08.238 --> 00:38:10.198
<v SPEAKER_2>Good customer service as well.
00:38:10.198 --> 00:38:12.198
CHRISSY: Love a good inventory control system.
00:38:12.198 --> 00:38:14.218
NANCI: Who does this?
00:38:14.218 --> 00:38:16.118
CHRISSY: Can you tell I'm a planner?
00:38:17.638 --> 00:38:23.798
<v SPEAKER_2>Another thing to note about Space Mamna was they had the catwalk light on during that ride.
00:38:24.138 --> 00:38:28.358
<v SPEAKER_7>You could see a good portion of it, it was really odd.
00:38:28.358 --> 00:38:29.358
VIRGINIA: It was weird.
00:38:29.518 --> 00:38:30.478
JEANETTE: I like it.
00:38:30.478 --> 00:38:37.178
<v SPEAKER_2>I've ridden the ride a few times with the lights fully on, which is always a harrowing experience.
00:38:38.658 --> 00:38:43.258
<v SPEAKER_2>And fun, but also very scary, much scarier than in the dark.
00:38:43.258 --> 00:38:46.138
<v SPEAKER_2>But it's weird to have just a little, like a nightlight.
00:38:48.898 --> 00:38:49.958
<v SPEAKER_2>All right.
00:38:49.958 --> 00:38:53.218
<v SPEAKER_2>And then we did Buzz Lightyear.
00:38:53.218 --> 00:38:55.938
<v SPEAKER_2>I failed miserably, but guess who didn't?
00:38:55.938 --> 00:38:56.938
MARIA: Virginia.
00:38:56.938 --> 00:38:57.598
<v SPEAKER_2>Virgil.
00:38:57.598 --> 00:38:58.838
<v SPEAKER_2>Virginia did not.
00:38:58.838 --> 00:39:02.178
VIRGINIA: Well, I didn't do as well as I wanted.
00:39:02.258 --> 00:39:03.918
<v SPEAKER_2>I didn't mean to do that.
00:39:09.358 --> 00:39:11.698
MARIA: Some of us went in our own cars.
00:39:11.698 --> 00:39:15.198
VIRGINIA: And even that, I rode in my own car as usual.
00:39:16.978 --> 00:39:19.318
VIRGINIA: You know, I'm always going to do, but I did not do very well.
00:39:19.318 --> 00:39:20.718
VIRGINIA: I got 700 something.
00:39:20.718 --> 00:39:24.378
<v SPEAKER_7>I got like 72,000 or something.
00:39:24.398 --> 00:39:25.738
MARIA: It was horrible.
00:39:27.198 --> 00:39:40.458
<v SPEAKER_2>But then we got to do what I think one of the only things I was like, I really don't want to miss doing this on this trip, which was dinner at Liberty Tree, which I don't know how everybody else thought.
00:39:40.458 --> 00:39:44.538
<v SPEAKER_2>But it is always my favorite dinner of the entire time.
00:39:44.538 --> 00:39:48.118
<v SPEAKER_2>And that pudding at the end makes me weep.
00:39:48.118 --> 00:39:53.118
VIRGINIA: Well, I know a couple of us have eaten there multiple times, so I don't want to get too in-depth on that.
00:39:53.218 --> 00:39:58.278
VIRGINIA: But we do have two ladies who it was their first time at Liberty Tree.
00:39:58.278 --> 00:39:59.798
VIRGINIA: So what were your thoughts?
00:40:01.778 --> 00:40:03.198
MARIA: That's me.
00:40:03.198 --> 00:40:04.438
MARIA: I really liked it.
00:40:04.438 --> 00:40:06.738
MARIA: I was pleasantly surprised.
00:40:06.738 --> 00:40:09.518
MARIA: I am someone who is lactose intolerant.
00:40:09.518 --> 00:40:19.938
MARIA: So I was prepared to like I thought I was going to have to order the whole plant based menu and have the plant based meats along with the plant based sides.
00:40:19.938 --> 00:40:22.198
MARIA: But like I eat meat, I eat turkey, I eat hot roast.
00:40:22.518 --> 00:40:27.278
MARIA: So I was able to have the real meats with the non-dairy sides.
00:40:27.278 --> 00:40:29.678
MARIA: And I got to tell you ladies, it was great.
00:40:29.678 --> 00:40:37.038
MARIA: The only thing we didn't mention is that before we went to Liberty Tree was when I fell.
00:40:37.038 --> 00:40:41.718
MARIA: Yes, that's when I fell by the purple wall.
00:40:41.718 --> 00:40:49.078
MARIA: I was like I fell down because my shoe protectors kept my shoes dry, but it did not keep me safely upright.
00:40:49.138 --> 00:40:53.058
MARIA: And I fell and there was some guy that was like, oh my god, are you okay?
00:40:53.058 --> 00:40:53.998
MARIA: What's wrong?
00:40:53.998 --> 00:40:54.818
MARIA: Do you need anything?
00:40:54.818 --> 00:40:57.998
MARIA: And I was just like, oh my god, get this man away from me.
00:40:57.998 --> 00:41:00.358
MARIA: I thought he was just some dude, some dad.
00:41:00.358 --> 00:41:02.158
MARIA: I look up and it was like someone who worked at Disney.
00:41:02.158 --> 00:41:03.258
MARIA: So he was very nice.
00:41:03.258 --> 00:41:11.298
MARIA: I wish I would have gotten his name to do a cast compliment, but he was very kind in making sure that I was okay as I slipped and fell.
00:41:11.298 --> 00:41:15.338
MARIA: And spoiler alert, that was the first time I fell because I fell another time too.
00:41:15.338 --> 00:41:16.078
MARIA: We'll get to that later.
00:41:16.238 --> 00:41:25.878
MARIA: But I was a little grumpy going over to Liberty Tree, but I think once I got there and started eating, I was very happy to have a seat inside.
00:41:26.018 --> 00:41:30.458
CHRISSY: Still second bowl of macaroni and cheese didn't appear, but other than that, it was pretty good.
00:41:30.458 --> 00:41:31.898
CHRISSY: I promised the second bowl.
00:41:31.898 --> 00:41:35.518
CHRISSY: I asked for a second bowl, man, and I was like, where is my macaroni and cheese?
00:41:35.518 --> 00:41:37.118
CHRISSY: I am also lactose intolerant.
00:41:37.118 --> 00:41:39.318
CHRISSY: I just loaded up on lactate and it was A+.
00:41:40.338 --> 00:41:44.638
<v SPEAKER_2>And then after dinner, we saw fireworks and I cried so hard.
00:41:44.798 --> 00:41:47.618
VIRGINIA: Oh, it's magical, yep.
00:41:47.618 --> 00:41:48.738
<v SPEAKER_2>Not Chrissy.
00:41:48.738 --> 00:41:50.038
VIRGINIA: I think we all cried.
00:41:50.038 --> 00:41:50.258
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:41:50.258 --> 00:41:51.558
VIRGINIA: No, I think Chrissy teared up a little too.
00:41:51.558 --> 00:41:56.818
CHRISSY: I did not overflow, but I got, it's mostly because I look at Maria and she just looks so happy.
00:41:58.058 --> 00:41:59.778
<v SPEAKER_2>That's so sweet.
00:41:59.778 --> 00:42:00.938
NANCI: That's beautiful.
00:42:00.978 --> 00:42:03.998
VIRGINIA: That's sister love.
00:42:03.998 --> 00:42:06.958
VIRGINIA: Now we're at Friday, January 24th.
00:42:06.958 --> 00:42:12.938
JEANETTE: Yes, Friday, the day I was supposed to run 10 miles, but it was below freezing that morning.
00:42:13.678 --> 00:42:18.158
JEANETTE: So I changed my plans, take one.
00:42:18.158 --> 00:42:23.438
JEANETTE: We had gotten lightning lanes, but I didn't get them.
00:42:23.438 --> 00:42:32.578
JEANETTE: And then I think right after we finished recording the podcast, I was like, oh, it's going to be freezing on Friday morning, just as cold as it would be in New York.
00:42:32.578 --> 00:42:46.598
JEANETTE: So I changed them right after we had recorded the pre-trip and tried to align all my lightning lanes with yours, which was mostly easy to do, but I couldn't get Navi River Journey.
00:42:46.598 --> 00:42:52.378
JEANETTE: So we got to Animal Kingdom at 915.
00:42:52.378 --> 00:42:55.758
JEANETTE: Our lightning lane got us on Dinosaur at 930.
00:42:55.758 --> 00:43:04.338
JEANETTE: And when we had snacks at the cart that has the Tiger Tail, I think it's Cafe Isle of Java is what it's called.
00:43:04.378 --> 00:43:04.958
VIRGINIA: Yes.
00:43:04.958 --> 00:43:06.158
VIRGINIA: I totally forgot what that was called.
00:43:06.158 --> 00:43:06.598
JEANETTE: Yeah.
00:43:07.078 --> 00:43:12.078
JEANETTE: And I tried the Vietnamese coffee, which I guess is new, because then I saw it on Instagram that it's new.
00:43:12.078 --> 00:43:13.598
JEANETTE: And I really liked it.
00:43:13.598 --> 00:43:18.178
JEANETTE: It was like iced coffee with condensed milk.
00:43:18.178 --> 00:43:24.158
JEANETTE: And then you kind of have to like mix the condensed milk in, almost like you do with the cream cheese and Galaxy's Edge.
00:43:24.158 --> 00:43:25.778
JEANETTE: And it was pretty nice.
00:43:25.778 --> 00:43:33.458
JEANETTE: So after that, we had to split up because you all had your Navi lightning lane.
00:43:33.458 --> 00:43:37.818
JEANETTE: And while you did that, I got in line for Nomad Lounge.
00:43:37.998 --> 00:43:41.918
JEANETTE: I don't know if you guys want to share anything about the Navi experience.
00:43:41.918 --> 00:43:49.938
VIRGINIA: The animatronic was working, which I know that in the days right after our trip, she had a little neck snap incident.
00:43:49.938 --> 00:43:55.378
VIRGINIA: So we got to see it in the way that it was intended to be seen.
00:43:55.378 --> 00:43:56.118
<v SPEAKER_2>Oh my God.
00:43:56.118 --> 00:43:57.258
VIRGINIA: Have you guys not seen this video?
00:43:57.258 --> 00:43:59.758
VIRGINIA: No, your faces are shocked.
00:43:59.758 --> 00:44:07.058
VIRGINIA: Yeah, it was all over social media a couple of days after we got back where people were writing it and they were videotaping.
00:44:07.058 --> 00:44:12.778
VIRGINIA: And as they're going past her, her whole neck just snaps forward.
00:44:12.778 --> 00:44:14.138
MARIA: It sounds terrifying.
00:44:14.138 --> 00:44:21.858
VIRGINIA: And then they temporarily, I guess, replaced her with a screen with the projection of the animatronic.
00:44:22.438 --> 00:44:22.938
<v SPEAKER_2>Oh, my God.
00:44:22.938 --> 00:44:27.658
<v SPEAKER_2>Can you imagine the young child in that boat?
00:44:27.658 --> 00:44:30.158
JEANETTE: It sounds like it would be terrifying.
00:44:30.158 --> 00:44:30.338
VIRGINIA: No.
00:44:30.338 --> 00:44:37.738
VIRGINIA: And somebody's comments on the video I saw was like, why does it look like you could see a look of pain in her eye before she slumped over?
00:44:38.038 --> 00:44:38.858
VIRGINIA: It's too real.
00:44:38.858 --> 00:44:40.918
VIRGINIA: Oh, God.
00:44:40.918 --> 00:44:41.538
VIRGINIA: It's too real.
00:44:41.538 --> 00:44:42.678
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:44:42.678 --> 00:44:44.338
VIRGINIA: Anyway, but it was fine.
00:44:44.338 --> 00:44:51.438
VIRGINIA: And we were glad that we did it, but we were also looking forward to some no ad action.
00:44:51.878 --> 00:44:52.158
JEANETTE: Yeah.
00:44:52.158 --> 00:44:56.178
JEANETTE: So because it was cold, they weren't sitting outside.
00:44:56.178 --> 00:45:04.058
JEANETTE: So we were put inside at like one of the sofa tables, and we had kind of a brunch.
00:45:04.058 --> 00:45:23.778
JEANETTE: We had like savory foods and churros and cocktails, and did it up at 1030, because that's when they start serving now at Nomad, which seems a little silly to me, but I am a diehard Nomad lounger, and I guess if I have to have a cocktail at 1030, I have to have a cocktail at 1030.
00:45:23.778 --> 00:45:26.318
<v SPEAKER_2>It was quite the chore.
00:45:26.318 --> 00:45:27.878
<v SPEAKER_2>Those are really good cocktails.
00:45:27.878 --> 00:45:30.958
MARIA: You took one for the team, guys.
00:45:30.958 --> 00:45:32.938
<v SPEAKER_2>The hibiscus one, just delightful.
00:45:32.938 --> 00:45:37.598
JEANETTE: After that, we did another little split up.
00:45:37.598 --> 00:46:06.958
JEANETTE: Nanci and Virginia went to ride Nanci's all-time favorite ride, Flight of Passage, and Maria and Chrissy and I went to see Nemo, and the last time I saw Nemo, I was a very crowded day and I was way in the back, so this time, I was determined to get a really good seat, and we were third row center, right next to the stage with the fish going right by us.
00:46:06.958 --> 00:46:08.438
JEANETTE: It's quite magical.
00:46:09.518 --> 00:46:14.338
<v SPEAKER_2>If anybody is wondering whether I cried on Flight of Passage, I did.
00:46:14.338 --> 00:46:16.278
JEANETTE: Even though you said it was a little blurry, right?
00:46:16.698 --> 00:46:17.678
VIRGINIA: It was.
00:46:17.678 --> 00:46:27.498
VIRGINIA: We walked off of there, and we both mentioned that it was blurry, and we both ridden it a lot of times, so it was fine.
00:46:27.498 --> 00:46:37.098
VIRGINIA: I knew what it was supposed to be, but I was noticing that it was blurry, and sometimes when you adjust your glasses, it will fix that, and it didn't.
00:46:37.098 --> 00:46:44.798
VIRGINIA: Where I really noticed it is we were sitting, I think we were on the first floor, so we were at the very bottom of all of the spots you could be riding it from.
00:46:46.458 --> 00:47:00.458
VIRGINIA: Especially when you're close to the bottom like that, at the very end, if you look down, there's a Navi who is a tribute to Joe Rodie, and has the big earring thing on one side of his head.
00:47:00.458 --> 00:47:08.618
VIRGINIA: I was excited because I wanted to point to him when we got to that part so that after the ride was over, I could tell Nanci about it.
00:47:08.618 --> 00:47:10.178
VIRGINIA: Then it was so blurry.
00:47:10.178 --> 00:47:15.018
VIRGINIA: I was like, she's not going to know what I'm pointing at, nor can you really see the earring just because.
00:47:15.018 --> 00:47:16.718
<v SPEAKER_2>There were also tears in my eyes.
00:47:16.718 --> 00:47:18.378
VIRGINIA: Yes, that too.
00:47:18.378 --> 00:47:19.818
VIRGINIA: So that's where we noticed it.
00:47:20.258 --> 00:47:24.038
VIRGINIA: We told a cast member afterwards, we were like, it's really blurry today.
00:47:24.038 --> 00:47:25.738
VIRGINIA: I don't know what's going on.
00:47:25.738 --> 00:47:28.858
JEANETTE: I remember the last time I rode Flight of Passage with Nanci.
00:47:28.858 --> 00:47:34.858
JEANETTE: I couldn't tell if I was getting wet because the ride had extra water or if her tears were just splashing.
00:47:38.758 --> 00:47:40.338
NANCI: Exactly.
00:47:40.338 --> 00:47:49.238
JEANETTE: Well, while they finished up at Flight of Passage, Maria and Chrissy and I got in the single rider line for Everest.
00:47:49.238 --> 00:47:53.638
JEANETTE: And it was kind of a long single rider line, yet somehow we managed to get through it.
00:47:53.638 --> 00:47:56.998
JEANETTE: And we all ended up on the same train.
00:47:56.998 --> 00:47:58.238
JEANETTE: So that was really fun.
00:47:58.238 --> 00:48:01.118
JEANETTE: And then we also had a lightning lane for Everest.
00:48:01.118 --> 00:48:06.838
JEANETTE: So once Nanci and Virginia met up with us, we all got to ride it.
00:48:06.838 --> 00:48:15.378
JEANETTE: And I requested to be in the front row, which becomes the back row, and then becomes the front row again.
00:48:15.378 --> 00:48:18.278
JEANETTE: And I think Chrissy did that with me.
00:48:18.278 --> 00:48:19.778
JEANETTE: That's my favorite.
00:48:19.778 --> 00:48:24.438
JEANETTE: Chrissy, what did you think of the front row of Everest?
00:48:24.438 --> 00:48:28.158
CHRISSY: I don't think I had ever done it, but I was like, this is cool.
00:48:28.158 --> 00:48:34.838
CHRISSY: And I was in, I feel like I was on opposite ends of the train for my single rider experience and then for riding with you.
00:48:34.838 --> 00:48:36.078
CHRISSY: So I felt like I got both.
00:48:36.078 --> 00:48:39.918
CHRISSY: And I think I agree with you that that was, your choice was the better seat.
00:48:39.918 --> 00:48:42.498
CHRISSY: I'm usually just like, I'm happy to be here.
00:48:42.498 --> 00:48:43.818
CHRISSY: Put me wherever.
00:48:43.818 --> 00:48:47.778
CHRISSY: So it was kind of nice to be with people who were like, no, I have a preference.
00:48:47.778 --> 00:48:50.998
CHRISSY: You were not obnoxious about it by any stretch of the imagination.
00:48:50.998 --> 00:48:52.358
CHRISSY: I just don't ever have one.
00:48:52.358 --> 00:48:56.638
JEANETTE: Yeah, I try not to be too pushy with my preferences, but I generally have opinions, you know?
00:49:01.038 --> 00:49:21.658
MARIA: We know, and I ruined the picture for Virginia and Nanci and I, because we learned that if there are, if the picture, if there's like two people in front and two people in back, I had my arms up and I managed to block out Nanci's face and Virginia's face with both of my hands.
00:49:22.658 --> 00:49:28.218
MARIA: So after that, I was only relegated to the back rows of everything, so as not to mess up any more pictures.
00:49:28.478 --> 00:49:31.058
VIRGINIA: I was like, you might was asking us.
00:49:31.058 --> 00:49:33.118
JEANETTE: After that, we went to the Safari.
00:49:33.118 --> 00:49:34.038
VIRGINIA: I really did.
00:49:34.038 --> 00:49:36.378
JEANETTE: That was our third lightning lane?
00:49:36.378 --> 00:49:37.538
NANCI: Is that right?
00:49:37.538 --> 00:49:39.478
JEANETTE: No.
00:49:39.478 --> 00:49:40.718
JEANETTE: It was a new lightning lane.
00:49:40.718 --> 00:49:42.518
VIRGINIA: Yes, because we had dinosaur.
00:49:42.518 --> 00:49:43.898
JEANETTE: Dinosaur.
00:49:43.938 --> 00:49:46.198
CHRISSY: With dinosaur, we had not been able to have one.
00:49:47.358 --> 00:49:51.318
JEANETTE: Regardless, it was a really good Safari.
00:49:51.318 --> 00:50:04.438
JEANETTE: We saw a lot of hippos, which I feel like every other time I've been on the Safari, the hippos are underwater, and we saw a lot of hippos on land, and we saw the new lions, and they were beautiful and majestic.
00:50:04.438 --> 00:50:09.398
CHRISSY: I'm not going to lie, our Safari driver, a little bit more fun than our jungle skipper was.
00:50:10.818 --> 00:50:13.018
VIRGINIA: He wanted to be a jungle cruise skipper.
00:50:13.018 --> 00:50:15.778
CHRISSY: I was dear friend of jungle cruise live.
00:50:15.778 --> 00:50:18.798
JEANETTE: Also goats on things, people.
00:50:18.798 --> 00:50:28.958
JEANETTE: I was pointing out that there's animatronic goats on boxes and bridges, and then we go by the dwarf goat farm and lo and behold, goat on a table.
00:50:28.958 --> 00:50:32.918
JEANETTE: Once you start noticing goats on things at Disney, you will never stop.
00:50:32.978 --> 00:50:41.178
JEANETTE: After that, we went to Satuli Canteen, and this is my first time at Satuli, so I was really glad that you all decided that you wanted to do this.
00:50:41.178 --> 00:50:46.498
JEANETTE: It was a late-ish lunch after our early cocktails, so 2.30.
00:50:46.498 --> 00:50:52.458
JEANETTE: Took a little time to sit there and relax, hit up the shops at the front of the park.
00:50:52.458 --> 00:50:53.758
NANCI: I love those shops.
00:50:53.758 --> 00:50:56.318
NANCI: I think that they're such great little shops.
00:50:56.318 --> 00:51:03.398
JEANETTE: I know one time Nanci and I were on a trip and she got a hat in that shop, and there's always just good selections.
00:51:03.398 --> 00:51:05.338
JEANETTE: Then we got a Tree of Life photo.
00:51:05.338 --> 00:51:12.798
JEANETTE: We had a very bossy but very particular photographer, so hopefully those photos came out good.
00:51:12.798 --> 00:51:19.798
JEANETTE: Then we decided to hop over to Epcot via bus.
00:51:19.798 --> 00:51:20.798
JEANETTE: Took a long time.
00:51:20.798 --> 00:51:24.138
JEANETTE: That bus took a very, very long time to come.
00:51:24.178 --> 00:51:29.838
JEANETTE: We got a couple of, didn't we get a couple of photos in front of Spaceship Earth?
00:51:29.838 --> 00:51:34.518
VIRGINIA: Yeah, we did the tiny Earth version, and then we did the regular photopass.
00:51:34.518 --> 00:51:35.578
JEANETTE: Yeah, yeah.
00:51:35.578 --> 00:51:36.018
JEANETTE: I'm glad.
00:51:36.018 --> 00:51:38.478
JEANETTE: I think the tiny Earth version one's a little weird.
00:51:38.478 --> 00:51:40.278
JEANETTE: I'm open to seeing what ours look like.
00:51:40.278 --> 00:51:45.638
JEANETTE: I'm sure we're adorable, but I still think it's just kind of a weird photo.
00:51:45.638 --> 00:51:52.818
JEANETTE: And then we got, we've gotten a lightning lane from booking the second round for Soren.
00:51:52.818 --> 00:51:54.978
JEANETTE: So we headed over to Soren.
00:51:54.978 --> 00:51:58.318
JEANETTE: That was the first time we rode Soren out of two, yes?
00:51:58.318 --> 00:51:58.918
JEANETTE: Yes.
00:51:58.918 --> 00:51:59.238
JEANETTE: Okay.
00:51:59.238 --> 00:52:01.558
JEANETTE: So we rolled the dice with that one.
00:52:01.558 --> 00:52:02.958
JEANETTE: We didn't, we weren't demanding.
00:52:02.958 --> 00:52:04.818
JEANETTE: We just sat where they sat us.
00:52:04.818 --> 00:52:14.258
JEANETTE: Oh, I should mention that this was probably everybody but me, first time seeing Soren with the Eiffel Tower straightened out, right?
00:52:15.278 --> 00:52:17.638
JEANETTE: Then we hit up some festival booths.
00:52:17.638 --> 00:52:22.338
JEANETTE: I think all of us at least tried a bite of something at Opening Bites.
00:52:22.338 --> 00:52:26.878
JEANETTE: Opening Bites was our opening bite of the Festival of the Arts.
00:52:26.878 --> 00:52:32.258
<v SPEAKER_2>It was also the first time I got something free for having my birthday button on.
00:52:32.258 --> 00:52:32.898
JEANETTE: That's right.
00:52:32.898 --> 00:52:38.318
JEANETTE: We didn't mention that you got a birthday button when we arrived at the hotel.
00:52:38.318 --> 00:52:39.778
JEANETTE: And a second one too, right?
00:52:40.098 --> 00:52:41.618
<v SPEAKER_2>I wore it the whole trip.
00:52:41.718 --> 00:52:46.218
<v SPEAKER_2>And it was incredible how many people say happy birthday to you.
00:52:46.218 --> 00:52:52.658
<v SPEAKER_2>I mean, if you didn't like it, if you don't like a punch and don't do it, because people will be talking to you the entire trip.
00:52:52.658 --> 00:52:54.318
<v SPEAKER_2>But I happened to love it.
00:52:54.318 --> 00:52:55.538
<v SPEAKER_7>And it was great.
00:52:55.538 --> 00:52:56.238
<v SPEAKER_2>I loved it.
00:52:56.238 --> 00:52:57.518
<v SPEAKER_2>And I got free things throughout.
00:52:57.518 --> 00:52:59.958
JEANETTE: And they were so genuine, too.
00:53:00.178 --> 00:53:02.458
JEANETTE: What did you get for free?
00:53:02.458 --> 00:53:06.278
<v SPEAKER_2>The rose mousse with the rose jelly in the center.
00:53:06.318 --> 00:53:07.658
JEANETTE: The light booth.
00:53:07.658 --> 00:53:09.218
JEANETTE: I ordered.
00:53:09.218 --> 00:53:11.478
JEANETTE: That was my pick from that booth.
00:53:11.798 --> 00:53:13.318
JEANETTE: I love chocolate mousse.
00:53:13.318 --> 00:53:16.438
JEANETTE: This is maybe the best chocolate mousse that I've had at Disney.
00:53:16.438 --> 00:53:17.878
JEANETTE: The rose was really light.
00:53:17.878 --> 00:53:20.118
JEANETTE: The raspberry was really nice in the center.
00:53:20.118 --> 00:53:21.838
JEANETTE: Even the cookie underneath it was pretty good.
00:53:21.838 --> 00:53:28.698
JEANETTE: So do recommend that rose, if you're gonna be there for Festival of the Arts.
00:53:28.698 --> 00:53:31.538
JEANETTE: And there was also a scone with salmon.
00:53:31.538 --> 00:53:32.418
VIRGINIA: Yes, I had that.
00:53:32.418 --> 00:53:33.658
VIRGINIA: It was delicious.
00:53:33.658 --> 00:53:34.878
JEANETTE: I had some of the scone.
00:53:35.018 --> 00:53:37.958
JEANETTE: I'm not a big fan of smoked salmon.
00:53:37.958 --> 00:53:40.718
JEANETTE: And I had some champagne, which was delicious.
00:53:40.718 --> 00:53:42.638
JEANETTE: And there was a live DJ.
00:53:42.638 --> 00:53:44.278
JEANETTE: And that DJ was great.
00:53:44.278 --> 00:53:47.298
JEANETTE: It was like playing Whitney Houston.
00:53:47.298 --> 00:53:49.538
JEANETTE: And I don't remember what else.
00:53:49.538 --> 00:53:51.958
NANCI: I just remember dancing to Whitney Houston.
00:53:51.958 --> 00:53:54.998
VIRGINIA: All the middle-aged ladies were jamming out.
00:53:54.998 --> 00:53:55.878
JEANETTE: Oh, yeah.
00:53:55.878 --> 00:53:57.318
JEANETTE: It was our time.
00:53:58.878 --> 00:54:03.958
JEANETTE: Then we went to Canada, where a couple folks got mushroom risotto.
00:54:04.258 --> 00:54:06.458
JEANETTE: Does anyone want to share their mushroom risotto experience?
00:54:06.458 --> 00:54:07.998
VIRGINIA: I will.
00:54:07.998 --> 00:54:10.158
VIRGINIA: It was not as good as it has been in the past years.
00:54:10.158 --> 00:54:10.998
MARIA: It was delicious.
00:54:10.998 --> 00:54:11.518
VIRGINIA: I loved it.
00:54:11.518 --> 00:54:15.338
VIRGINIA: I took two bites of mine and I was like, I'm good.
00:54:15.338 --> 00:54:16.858
VIRGINIA: And I ended up throwing the rest of it out.
00:54:16.858 --> 00:54:19.458
VIRGINIA: And it has been a festival favorite of mine.
00:54:19.458 --> 00:54:26.438
VIRGINIA: In fact, on my Food and Wine app, I went back and I changed it from a favorite to now, not a favorite.
00:54:26.578 --> 00:54:27.838
<v SPEAKER_2>Oh, tough.
00:54:29.198 --> 00:54:33.398
MARIA: Oh, those frightened words.
00:54:33.418 --> 00:54:35.258
MARIA: I really liked it.
00:54:35.258 --> 00:54:47.438
MARIA: I will say as someone who has dietary restrictions, I like knowing that I could eat it and not worry like, oh, is there sneaky cheese in here somewhere?
00:54:47.438 --> 00:54:49.738
MARIA: I really thought it was delicious and I was happy with it.
00:54:49.738 --> 00:54:50.698
MARIA: And I would have gotten it again.
00:54:50.698 --> 00:54:52.558
VIRGINIA: It's always been a favorite for me.
00:54:52.558 --> 00:54:56.978
VIRGINIA: And there was just something about the way the risotto was cooked this time that I wasn't loving.
00:54:56.978 --> 00:54:58.218
<v SPEAKER_2>Yeah, and a bite of it wasn't for me.
00:54:58.218 --> 00:55:00.598
JEANETTE: I tasted it too and I wasn't a big fan.
00:55:00.598 --> 00:55:02.418
JEANETTE: And I usually love risotto.
00:55:03.458 --> 00:55:04.198
VIRGINIA: Maybe.
00:55:04.698 --> 00:55:05.638
VIRGINIA: Will you try it again?
00:55:05.638 --> 00:55:06.058
MARIA: Next trip.
00:55:06.058 --> 00:55:08.098
VIRGINIA: It used to be a favorite of Alex's.
00:55:08.098 --> 00:55:11.278
VIRGINIA: And then we had a day where he ate too much in one day.
00:55:11.278 --> 00:55:13.078
VIRGINIA: And then we went to LaSalle right after.
00:55:13.078 --> 00:55:13.778
MARIA: And he ate too much, right?
00:55:13.778 --> 00:55:15.538
VIRGINIA: And it made him feel so ill.
00:55:15.538 --> 00:55:17.318
VIRGINIA: And so he has not wanted it since.
00:55:17.318 --> 00:55:23.438
VIRGINIA: It turned him off just from how much he ate of it that day because he had at least a second of it in the same day.
00:55:24.178 --> 00:55:32.558
VIRGINIA: And so I would say if Charles wants to get one when we're there in a week and a half, I would try it again.
00:55:32.558 --> 00:55:38.898
VIRGINIA: But I don't think I'm going to go out of my way to buy it again for myself, this time at least, for sure in like a year.
00:55:38.898 --> 00:55:45.058
JEANETTE: After the mushroom risotto with mixed results, we headed to France.
00:55:45.058 --> 00:55:45.978
JEANETTE: Les Halles?
00:55:45.978 --> 00:55:46.998
NANCI: Is that how you say it?
00:55:47.858 --> 00:55:49.658
JEANETTE: It was a very long line.
00:55:49.658 --> 00:55:51.298
JEANETTE: Chrissy and I waited in the line.
00:55:51.558 --> 00:56:03.498
JEANETTE: There was baguette plans galore and macaroon plans, macaroon plans, and I had plans of getting the lobster bisque in a bread bowl.
00:56:03.598 --> 00:56:08.418
JEANETTE: I got up to the front and the woman says, we don't have a bread bowl.
00:56:08.418 --> 00:56:12.058
JEANETTE: Would you be okay with a regular bowl and a piece of bread?
00:56:12.158 --> 00:56:13.178
JEANETTE: I said, sure.
00:56:13.178 --> 00:56:17.078
JEANETTE: She said, and we don't have lobster bisque, would you be okay with celery soup?
00:56:17.138 --> 00:56:17.958
JEANETTE: I was like, no.
00:56:19.498 --> 00:56:23.078
JEANETTE: She was literally giving me nothing but I want.
00:56:23.078 --> 00:56:25.798
NANCI: So I walked away empty-handed.
00:56:25.798 --> 00:56:34.938
JEANETTE: But then I went into the France booth for the festival, and that line is usually so long and it was really short.
00:56:34.938 --> 00:56:39.118
JEANETTE: So I got in that line and they had a brie bread bowl.
00:56:39.118 --> 00:56:42.378
JEANETTE: So I got my bread bowl, didn't have lobster bisque but it had brie in it.
00:56:42.478 --> 00:56:46.558
JEANETTE: I was concerned that it was going to be too rich, too heavy, but it was actually really good.
00:56:46.618 --> 00:56:52.418
JEANETTE: It was just the right amount of melty brie cheese to go with the bread that was there.
00:56:52.418 --> 00:56:57.058
JEANETTE: And I will probably get that one again when I'm there in a couple weeks.
00:56:57.058 --> 00:57:01.838
JEANETTE: So that one is a Jeanette thumbs up recommendation for Festival of the Arts.
00:57:01.838 --> 00:57:03.278
<v SPEAKER_2>And while you're busy...
00:57:05.578 --> 00:57:06.878
<v SPEAKER_2>And is that one Nanci?
00:57:06.978 --> 00:57:08.078
MARIA: Yeah, I was gonna say Nanci got the purchase.
00:57:08.078 --> 00:57:21.358
<v SPEAKER_2>My second most favorite merch item I've ever gotten from Disney, which was it's a red beret with two little mini pom-poms, mini ear pom-poms on the top.
00:57:21.358 --> 00:57:22.778
<v SPEAKER_7>And it's so cute.
00:57:22.778 --> 00:57:23.798
<v SPEAKER_7>Your kinky red beret.
00:57:23.798 --> 00:57:26.838
<v SPEAKER_2>And I was a little kinky little French girl with it.
00:57:26.838 --> 00:57:27.898
<v SPEAKER_7>It was very cute.
00:57:27.898 --> 00:57:28.918
<v SPEAKER_7>I loved it.
00:57:28.958 --> 00:57:37.218
JEANETTE: Yeah, the France merch, actually a lot of the country merch with Mickey and Minnie on it right now is very cute, very, very cute.
00:57:37.218 --> 00:57:42.878
JEANETTE: At this point, Virginia and I tapped out.
00:57:44.598 --> 00:57:47.478
JEANETTE: We went to Beach Club, right?
00:57:47.478 --> 00:57:48.118
VIRGINIA: Yes.
00:57:48.118 --> 00:57:55.818
JEANETTE: Got a car back to the resort where we stopped at the food court and got tomato soups.
00:57:56.078 --> 00:58:00.858
JEANETTE: So I still got soup and you got some mac and cheese.
00:58:00.858 --> 00:58:04.038
JEANETTE: We headed back to the room.
00:58:04.038 --> 00:58:07.998
VIRGINIA: I just want to say that the tomato soup was excellent.
00:58:07.998 --> 00:58:08.498
JEANETTE: It was good.
00:58:08.498 --> 00:58:09.218
VIRGINIA: It was so good.
00:58:09.218 --> 00:58:10.418
JEANETTE: Yeah.
00:58:10.418 --> 00:58:15.698
JEANETTE: I double-checked that it didn't have meat broth in it because as a vegetarian, sneaky meat broth can ruin your night.
00:58:15.698 --> 00:58:19.218
JEANETTE: But it is safe for vegetarians and it was very, very good.
00:58:19.218 --> 00:58:24.138
JEANETTE: We both took this opportunity while we were the only two people in the hotel room to wash our hair.
00:58:25.018 --> 00:58:26.658
JEANETTE: Very important.
00:58:26.658 --> 00:58:30.178
JEANETTE: So tell us ladies who stayed at the festival, what did you do?
00:58:30.178 --> 00:58:31.738
NANCI: Because we weren't there.
00:58:34.018 --> 00:58:38.238
MARIA: I got a sushi donut and it was delicious.
00:58:38.238 --> 00:58:42.698
MARIA: I would have liked a little bit of extra spicy mayo, but it was delicious.
00:58:42.698 --> 00:58:49.438
MARIA: It's kind of hard to eat because you really need to cut it, but it still is delicious and I was really happy with it.
00:58:49.438 --> 00:58:50.558
MARIA: And then what else?
00:58:50.558 --> 00:58:52.598
<v SPEAKER_7>Is that the only food I think I got?
00:58:52.678 --> 00:58:55.938
MARIA: I don't know if anybody else got it and then we did a little shopping as well.
00:58:55.938 --> 00:59:00.618
<v SPEAKER_2>I walked around with that for a little bit and the short rib.
00:59:00.618 --> 00:59:02.478
<v SPEAKER_2>I got the, well, what is it?
00:59:02.478 --> 00:59:04.818
<v SPEAKER_2>The short rib, I can't remember what they're called.
00:59:04.818 --> 00:59:05.538
VIRGINIA: In Germany?
00:59:05.538 --> 00:59:06.998
<v SPEAKER_2>Yeah, it was the richest.
00:59:06.998 --> 00:59:07.818
VIRGINIA: Oh, it was so good.
00:59:07.818 --> 00:59:09.318
VIRGINIA: Yeah, I had it a different day.
00:59:09.318 --> 00:59:09.938
CHRISSY: So good.
00:59:09.938 --> 00:59:18.478
CHRISSY: And I was on a mission to purchase, Jeanette was saying about the merch with Mickey and Minnie on it being really good in the countries.
00:59:18.478 --> 00:59:22.098
CHRISSY: They have a series now where Mickey is in the dress of the country.
00:59:22.738 --> 00:59:31.438
CHRISSY: And my darling, amazing work husband requested Mickey in his Norway gear and we were able to secure the goods.
00:59:31.438 --> 00:59:34.778
CHRISSY: So Jason is coming for you next month.
00:59:34.778 --> 00:59:36.798
CHRISSY: He's very excited about it.
00:59:36.818 --> 00:59:55.278
JEANETTE: Once everybody got back to All-Star Music, we turned on the Hayley Mills OG version of Parent Trap and settled in with some cookies and some popcorn and enjoyed that classic and envied their camping uniforms.
00:59:55.278 --> 00:59:59.438
<v SPEAKER_2>We didn't finish it because then we watched it when we woke up the next morning.
00:59:59.438 --> 01:00:00.858
<v SPEAKER_2>The rest of it, we're getting ready.
01:00:00.958 --> 01:00:06.338
VIRGINIA: Yeah, we resumed at this spot we left off for our getting ready the next morning.
01:00:06.338 --> 01:00:08.518
VIRGINIA: It was really nice.
01:00:08.518 --> 01:00:12.298
VIRGINIA: So that brings us to Saturday, January 25th.
01:00:12.298 --> 01:00:13.998
VIRGINIA: Chrissy, take it away.
01:00:13.998 --> 01:00:23.098
CHRISSY: I feel like I frequently don't start an Epcot for a day because it's always like my second snacky park hopping park, but I was glad to do it.
01:00:23.098 --> 01:00:30.458
CHRISSY: So we were able to secure Virtual Queue for Guardians of the Galaxy.
01:00:30.458 --> 01:00:33.818
CHRISSY: We got it for all of us for later in the day.
01:00:33.818 --> 01:00:37.998
CHRISSY: Spoiler alert, I opted out because I was like, I think once is going to be enough for that.
01:00:37.998 --> 01:00:40.818
CHRISSY: Screens and spinning do not make a happy chiggy.
01:00:40.818 --> 01:00:46.758
CHRISSY: So anyway, we had secured our Virtual Queue.
01:00:46.758 --> 01:00:57.538
CHRISSY: We got on the bus to Epcot at like 9.55, gloriously enjoyed Spaceship Earth, and then had our second ride on Soarin.
01:00:57.538 --> 01:01:00.658
CHRISSY: And I believe this time we did actually have a preference.
01:01:00.658 --> 01:01:03.858
CHRISSY: And we were like, please put us in the middle, thank you.
01:01:03.858 --> 01:01:06.818
CHRISSY: And everyone was wonderfully kind about that.
01:01:06.818 --> 01:01:29.838
CHRISSY: We somehow did not appropriately, I think with the Virtual Queue for Guardians and some other things we had planned, we had overlapping plans and would have been really cutting it close for Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and got what was lucky for us, but probably not so lucky for some other families was that Remy had actually gone down when in the window where we were supposed to ride.
01:01:29.838 --> 01:01:33.178
CHRISSY: So that became an anytime ride, which was nice.
01:01:33.178 --> 01:01:37.798
CHRISSY: It added a little bit of extra flexibility for the day.
01:01:37.798 --> 01:01:48.998
CHRISSY: And then the Virtual Queue for Guardians, like I said, I ended up opting out of that so I could just, it was warm and the sun was out and I was like, I'm just going to be a little lizard on a bench in the sun.
01:01:48.998 --> 01:01:59.058
CHRISSY: And the gals, if one of you that went on Guardians using the Virtual Queue, want to talk about like what that weight was like, because I was not there.
01:01:59.058 --> 01:02:01.398
VIRGINIA: I don't recall how long we were there.
01:02:02.778 --> 01:02:04.358
MARIA: I did take notes for that.
01:02:04.358 --> 01:02:07.298
MARIA: We tapped in at 1210.
01:02:07.298 --> 01:02:09.978
MARIA: We were through the first room by 1230.
01:02:10.798 --> 01:02:16.518
MARIA: Into like the Welcome Center room with Terry Crews by 1235.
01:02:16.518 --> 01:02:19.998
MARIA: And into the line up for the actual ride at 1242.
01:02:19.998 --> 01:02:20.598
MARIA: And our song was I Ran.
01:02:20.598 --> 01:02:25.438
JEANETTE: It was the smoothest Guardians Virtual Queue line I think I've ever been in.
01:02:25.438 --> 01:02:27.698
CHRISSY: That's pretty impressive.
01:02:27.698 --> 01:02:38.898
CHRISSY: And then we did have, we had purchased in our previous plans, we did had all purchased also in a Lightning Lane single pass for Guardians of the Galaxy.
01:02:39.138 --> 01:02:42.118
CHRISSY: We all rode at that point in time.
01:02:42.118 --> 01:02:43.978
CHRISSY: I was still very jazzed.
01:02:43.978 --> 01:02:46.538
CHRISSY: Did I take on my nausea medicine and wear my C-bands?
01:02:46.538 --> 01:02:47.718
CHRISSY: Absolutely.
01:02:47.718 --> 01:02:48.898
CHRISSY: Felt amazing.
01:02:48.898 --> 01:02:50.298
CHRISSY: Our song was Congo.
01:02:50.298 --> 01:02:51.638
CHRISSY: I was excited about that.
01:02:51.638 --> 01:02:54.738
CHRISSY: Others were not, but I was pretty jazzed.
01:02:55.798 --> 01:03:01.358
<v SPEAKER_2>I'm a little saltier, I still haven't gotten to have Everybody Wants To Rule The World.
01:03:01.358 --> 01:03:06.058
<v SPEAKER_2>And that's the, I still, I like all the song choices, but I really want to experience that one.
01:03:06.058 --> 01:03:06.958
<v SPEAKER_2>I love that song.
01:03:07.698 --> 01:03:09.538
CHRISSY: I'm just happy to be here.
01:03:10.658 --> 01:03:14.558
CHRISSY: And then, you know, the thrill ride was over and that meant snack time.
01:03:14.558 --> 01:03:19.658
CHRISSY: I am not a person who typically drinks around the world because why waste your calories on drinks?
01:03:19.658 --> 01:03:21.338
CHRISSY: There are so many good snacks.
01:03:21.338 --> 01:03:32.258
CHRISSY: So we had a rainbow cider flight, all of which were delicious, but it was, Maria, can you remind me, do you remember what the ciders were?
01:03:34.198 --> 01:03:40.838
MARIA: There was a black cherry, there was a pineapple and a blood orange because it was like red, orange and yellow.
01:03:40.838 --> 01:03:45.398
JEANETTE: And then the beers were available as green, blue, purple.
01:03:45.398 --> 01:03:49.298
JEANETTE: So if you got both the ciders and the beers, it was like you had the whole rainbow.
01:03:49.298 --> 01:03:53.858
CHRISSY: I was not as jazzed about a blue beer, so just went with the ciders.
01:03:54.878 --> 01:03:59.638
CHRISSY: We had folks that hit up some squid ink and calamari pasta.
01:03:59.638 --> 01:04:00.878
CHRISSY: I got to taste a bit of that.
01:04:00.878 --> 01:04:01.538
CHRISSY: Thank you, Jeanette.
01:04:02.458 --> 01:04:05.218
CHRISSY: I definitely had some food FOMO.
01:04:05.218 --> 01:04:06.658
CHRISSY: It was really tasty.
01:04:07.758 --> 01:04:13.978
CHRISSY: We also went over to this time, we worked from the Mexico side around.
01:04:13.978 --> 01:04:21.098
CHRISSY: Nanci and Virginia stopped in Mexico for margaritas and elote.
01:04:21.218 --> 01:04:24.078
CHRISSY: It sounds like that's a little bit of a tradition for the two of you.
01:04:24.138 --> 01:04:25.298
<v SPEAKER_2>Absolutely.
01:04:26.938 --> 01:04:35.098
<v SPEAKER_2>It's so good that I had it again on the next day as my meal again.
01:04:35.098 --> 01:04:41.598
VIRGINIA: It's the cucumber margarita that's at the outside stand outside of the pyramid.
01:04:41.598 --> 01:04:43.838
<v SPEAKER_2>It's just my favorite flavors.
01:04:43.838 --> 01:04:45.338
<v SPEAKER_2>I love it.
01:04:45.338 --> 01:04:45.878
<v SPEAKER_2>So good.
01:04:45.878 --> 01:04:50.518
CHRISSY: We were a little bit sad that there was no Three Caballeros ride.
01:04:50.518 --> 01:04:52.698
CHRISSY: It's not my favorite ride, but I hadn't seen it in a while.
01:04:52.698 --> 01:04:54.378
CHRISSY: And then I was sad that it was not open.
01:04:54.378 --> 01:04:59.778
JEANETTE: I mean, it went with our pool at our hotel that we couldn't use because it was very sad.
01:04:59.778 --> 01:05:04.258
CHRISSY: So yes, a good part of Saturday was snacking around the world.
01:05:04.258 --> 01:05:12.878
CHRISSY: Even though I was not wearing a birthday button Saturday, I was given a little bit of extra magic in the form of salted caramel soft serve for free.
01:05:12.878 --> 01:05:16.938
CHRISSY: I being an inherently skeptical city person, the woman was like, come here.
01:05:16.938 --> 01:05:18.578
CHRISSY: And I was like, I didn't order any ice cream.
01:05:18.618 --> 01:05:21.918
CHRISSY: She goes, I know, I've messed up, so I'm giving it to you for free.
01:05:21.918 --> 01:05:24.758
CHRISSY: And then I was like, oh, you need to stop being so cynical.
01:05:24.758 --> 01:05:26.018
MARIA: It was delightful.
01:05:28.578 --> 01:05:29.638
CHRISSY: I was really surprised.
01:05:29.658 --> 01:05:30.818
JEANETTE: I helped you eat it.
01:05:30.818 --> 01:05:31.678
CHRISSY: It was really good.
01:05:31.678 --> 01:05:37.718
JEANETTE: While drinking my blueberry mochi beer and it was joy overload.
01:05:37.718 --> 01:05:39.118
CHRISSY: It was very, very nice.
01:05:39.118 --> 01:05:42.118
MARIA: And I had the chocolate chip cookie and it was delicious.
01:05:42.118 --> 01:05:45.358
CHRISSY: She did try and paint me with frosting at least once.
01:05:45.898 --> 01:05:46.578
CHRISSY: I bobbed and waved.
01:05:46.578 --> 01:05:47.738
CHRISSY: It was fine.
01:05:47.738 --> 01:05:48.238
CHRISSY: I don't know.
01:05:48.238 --> 01:05:51.498
CHRISSY: There was a paintbrush full of icing waved in my face.
01:05:53.058 --> 01:06:00.098
CHRISSY: And then I think that we had, I don't remember if this is when we split up.
01:06:00.098 --> 01:06:01.938
CHRISSY: Because I'm looking at this list going, I didn't eat any.
01:06:01.938 --> 01:06:03.518
CHRISSY: We were split up at this time.
01:06:03.518 --> 01:06:05.758
VIRGINIA: Yeah, we were already split up.
01:06:05.758 --> 01:06:06.038
CHRISSY: Yeah.
01:06:06.038 --> 01:06:14.738
CHRISSY: So I think Maria, Jeanette and I grabbed a bench, sat down, ate our ice cream, had a snack, enjoyed the view.
01:06:15.418 --> 01:06:19.598
CHRISSY: And then took a friendship boat back.
01:06:19.598 --> 01:06:24.358
CHRISSY: And then I think Jeanette and Nanci were having a little bit of their own time.
01:06:24.358 --> 01:06:27.678
CHRISSY: Nanci, is this when you went to go get your caramel corn?
01:06:27.678 --> 01:06:28.778
VIRGINIA: Virginia got the caramel corn.
01:06:28.778 --> 01:06:30.638
VIRGINIA: No, I went to get the caramel corn.
01:06:30.638 --> 01:06:31.618
CHRISSY: That's what I meant, sorry.
01:06:31.618 --> 01:06:31.918
<v SPEAKER_2>Yeah.
01:06:31.918 --> 01:06:36.578
VIRGINIA: And I got a cookie there too, that I hadn't tried yet, that I don't need to get again.
01:06:36.578 --> 01:06:40.118
VIRGINIA: It was the chocolate one that was Mickey shaped.
01:06:40.158 --> 01:06:43.978
VIRGINIA: There's much better things at the Caramel Cushia.
01:06:45.338 --> 01:06:48.378
VIRGINIA: And then I think that's Jeanette and I were together.
01:06:48.378 --> 01:06:50.818
<v SPEAKER_2>And there was me, Chrissy, and Maria, the three of us.
01:06:50.818 --> 01:06:52.318
MARIA: Is that when we went to Morocco?
01:06:52.318 --> 01:06:52.658
<v SPEAKER_2>Yeah.
01:06:52.658 --> 01:06:53.398
CHRISSY: Oh, that's right.
01:06:53.398 --> 01:06:56.178
CHRISSY: I was very sad that they were out of the bread and dips.
01:06:56.178 --> 01:07:06.738
CHRISSY: But man, oh man, those kebabs and the simplicity of a carrot and chickpea salad, that you never think like, man, this is delicious, but holy moly, was it good.
01:07:06.738 --> 01:07:09.798
MARIA: I am a little sad we didn't go back for that a second time.
01:07:10.038 --> 01:07:11.758
CHRISSY: Ordered chicken, could have gone for lamb.
01:07:11.758 --> 01:07:12.998
CHRISSY: It was delish.
01:07:12.998 --> 01:07:16.178
JEANETTE: Virginia, you got to talk about your purchase.
01:07:16.178 --> 01:07:17.758
VIRGINIA: Oh, I bought a purse in Italy.
01:07:17.758 --> 01:07:19.838
VIRGINIA: It's navy blue, it's leather.
01:07:19.838 --> 01:07:28.638
VIRGINIA: I had spotted a navy blue purse over in France the night before that I liked and it reminded me that I don't have a leather navy blue purse.
01:07:28.638 --> 01:07:31.918
VIRGINIA: I only have a nylon navy blue purse.
01:07:31.918 --> 01:07:44.378
VIRGINIA: And so I was about to get that one and then realized that it was synthetic leather, which I understand there's plenty of people out there that want that because they specifically don't want real leather, but I prefer real leather.
01:07:44.378 --> 01:07:49.798
VIRGINIA: So I decided not to get that one and then, but I knew that they had purses in Italy.
01:07:49.798 --> 01:07:53.998
VIRGINIA: And so I thought, well, I'll just pop in there when we're there next and see what they have.
01:07:53.998 --> 01:07:55.978
VIRGINIA: They had one that I absolutely loved.
01:07:55.978 --> 01:08:00.478
VIRGINIA: And with my DVC discount, it was brought it down to $120.
01:08:00.478 --> 01:08:03.578
VIRGINIA: And so I snapped it up and I used it on the trip.
01:08:03.578 --> 01:08:05.118
VIRGINIA: And I'm so happy with the purchase.
01:08:05.118 --> 01:08:09.278
VIRGINIA: It's one of those things that's just an everyday type thing that I will use.
01:08:09.878 --> 01:08:13.118
VIRGINIA: And I will secretly know that it came from Epcot.
01:08:14.378 --> 01:08:17.638
CHRISSY: And then we had folks who wanted to go to a couple of different boats.
01:08:17.638 --> 01:08:27.958
CHRISSY: But one of the things that was pretty high on Maria and my list at the Festival of the Arts, because this is the time of year we usually go, was we really wanted to paint the mural.
01:08:27.958 --> 01:08:32.318
CHRISSY: The mural painting only happens until like 5 p.m.
01:08:32.318 --> 01:08:34.898
CHRISSY: And so it was $4.50.
01:08:34.898 --> 01:08:35.978
CHRISSY: Folks were getting snacks.
01:08:35.978 --> 01:08:38.838
CHRISSY: And I was like, no, no, the line for the mural is not long.
01:08:39.158 --> 01:08:40.418
CHRISSY: We're getting in it.
01:08:40.418 --> 01:08:43.498
CHRISSY: I did get Karen by a middle-aged local.
01:08:43.498 --> 01:08:44.778
CHRISSY: It was fine.
01:08:44.778 --> 01:08:47.878
CHRISSY: But we painted our squares and had a delightful experience.
01:08:48.318 --> 01:08:49.318
VIRGINIA: I didn't hear this story.
01:08:49.318 --> 01:08:50.598
VIRGINIA: What happened?
01:08:50.598 --> 01:08:55.758
CHRISSY: Oh, I was talking to Maria and I turned around and brushed this woman's arm.
01:08:55.758 --> 01:08:57.218
CHRISSY: And she flipped out on me.
01:08:57.218 --> 01:09:03.098
CHRISSY: And I was like, ma'am, I'm sorry that your kid is boogie and having a temper tantrum, but you don't need to be mean to me.
01:09:03.098 --> 01:09:05.838
CHRISSY: And I just kind of gave her a look and was like, we're not doing this.
01:09:05.838 --> 01:09:07.778
CHRISSY: And then I continued on with my conversation.
01:09:08.278 --> 01:09:11.978
VIRGINIA: So she got a tiny bit of paint on her arm, which was fully washable.
01:09:11.978 --> 01:09:17.058
CHRISSY: This was before the paint was even distributed, which is why I was like, ma'am, I'm going to need you to calm down.
01:09:17.058 --> 01:09:19.538
CHRISSY: You're at a ten, I need you to take it to a two.
01:09:19.538 --> 01:09:22.138
VIRGINIA: So you touched her with a dry brush?
01:09:22.138 --> 01:09:25.098
MARIA: No, with her bag, when she turned.
01:09:25.098 --> 01:09:28.258
CHRISSY: Like my bag brushed her arm and she got angry.
01:09:28.278 --> 01:09:32.698
VIRGINIA: Oh, sorry, you said the word brush and I thought it was like the brush that you used in the painting.
01:09:32.698 --> 01:09:35.318
CHRISSY: No, literally, I turned around to say something to my sister.
01:09:35.318 --> 01:09:36.818
CHRISSY: My backpack touched this woman.
01:09:37.238 --> 01:09:42.958
CHRISSY: She was very angry about it and I was just like ma'am, if you're going to be that angry in Disney, I can't help you.
01:09:42.958 --> 01:09:45.138
CHRISSY: Anyway, so we did get...
01:09:45.138 --> 01:09:45.558
VIRGINIA: Good for you.
01:09:45.558 --> 01:09:52.998
CHRISSY: Yeah, so it was really, it was important to us to, it's always really nice to help paint the mural.
01:09:52.998 --> 01:10:02.518
CHRISSY: I think we were a little disappointed that it was the same design we helped paint last year, but Maria painted some squares of brown, I hit up some gray, it was delightful.
01:10:02.518 --> 01:10:14.918
CHRISSY: And then we had the nice surprise, re-gathering with everyone to do a Visa card member, exclusive photo shoot, which I did not know was a thing because I don't have a Visa card like that.
01:10:14.918 --> 01:10:19.778
CHRISSY: But we had some really nice photos with Mickey and with Goofy, and it was kind of just us.
01:10:19.778 --> 01:10:25.218
CHRISSY: So it was a lot of fun attention and lots of fun configurations of photos.
01:10:25.218 --> 01:10:28.118
CHRISSY: So if you have that credit card, it was really nice.
01:10:28.118 --> 01:10:38.118
CHRISSY: And since we were over there, we did do Journey Into Imagination with Vigment, which is still terrifying, but still wonderfully nostalgic at the same time.
01:10:38.118 --> 01:10:40.598
<v SPEAKER_2>That I sat out of nothing.
01:10:40.598 --> 01:10:43.078
CHRISSY: Nanci knows what she likes and it is not figment.
01:10:43.078 --> 01:10:45.818
CHRISSY: And I was like, that's okay.
01:10:45.818 --> 01:10:53.498
CHRISSY: We went over to the Land Pavilion to ride Living With The Land, which was our second pre-booked multi-pass for the day.
01:10:53.498 --> 01:10:54.878
CHRISSY: One of my favorite.
01:10:54.878 --> 01:10:59.578
CHRISSY: Nanci very much looked like the tomato girl at the end of the ride, especially with the red beret.
01:11:00.238 --> 01:11:02.818
CHRISSY: With the red beret, it was a dead ringer.
01:11:02.818 --> 01:11:06.878
CHRISSY: Jeanette enjoyed, a few of us enjoyed some fancy milkshakes.
01:11:06.878 --> 01:11:09.818
CHRISSY: Were those festival milkshakes, Jeanette, in Virginia?
01:11:09.818 --> 01:11:13.558
JEANETTE: I think they were probably part of the Valentine's Day stuff.
01:11:13.558 --> 01:11:19.598
JEANETTE: There seems to be like a Valentine's strawberry thing that happens in Disney World.
01:11:19.598 --> 01:11:31.678
CHRISSY: And we did manage to catch one of the last friendship boats back across the lagoon so that we could take advantage of our Anytime Remy multi-passes.
01:11:31.678 --> 01:11:38.138
CHRISSY: And then we decided we did not want to walk to the front of the park.
01:11:38.138 --> 01:11:47.578
CHRISSY: We took the International Gateway and walked over to the resorts over there and then took a lift over to the Polynesian because we were all craving some Captain Cooks.
01:11:47.578 --> 01:11:53.378
MARIA: We also did a really cute photo pass in front of Journey to Imagination with all of our Disney Dames jackets.
01:11:54.238 --> 01:11:55.218
VIRGINIA: Oh, yeah.
01:11:55.218 --> 01:11:57.858
VIRGINIA: And that guy took the photo pass photographer.
01:11:57.858 --> 01:11:59.198
VIRGINIA: He was so fun.
01:11:59.198 --> 01:12:00.838
VIRGINIA: He was like, you guys look like the pink lady.
01:12:00.838 --> 01:12:03.718
VIRGINIA: We were like, that's the point.
01:12:03.718 --> 01:12:08.758
CHRISSY: I think the better part was that he asked if we had ever heard of Grease and I was like, sir, I'm 40.
01:12:08.758 --> 01:12:10.618
CHRISSY: The answer is yes.
01:12:10.618 --> 01:12:10.938
VIRGINIA: I know.
01:12:10.938 --> 01:12:14.278
VIRGINIA: I was like, not only have we heard of it, two of us have been in the show.
01:12:14.278 --> 01:12:15.038
CHRISSY: Yeah.
01:12:15.038 --> 01:12:17.718
JEANETTE: Then I showed my age by forgetting the name of my character.
01:12:20.958 --> 01:12:25.398
CHRISSY: I was happy to have a little bit of a change of pace and go over to the Polynesian.
01:12:25.398 --> 01:12:29.138
CHRISSY: We were able to mobile order from Captain Cooks.
01:12:29.138 --> 01:12:34.778
CHRISSY: We did a little shopping because I feel like the stores over in the Polynesian are a little bit unique with the tiki theme.
01:12:34.778 --> 01:12:43.938
CHRISSY: We got some bread pudding to go from Kona Cafe and got in an XL lift back to our resort.
01:12:43.938 --> 01:12:47.938
CHRISSY: We had a little hiccup with a lost cell phone, but it's all good.
01:12:47.938 --> 01:12:50.878
JEANETTE: Because the XL lift was not actually an XL.
01:12:50.878 --> 01:12:51.278
CHRISSY: That's true.
01:12:51.278 --> 01:12:53.118
CHRISSY: Jeanette was essentially in the trunk.
01:12:53.118 --> 01:12:56.718
JEANETTE: It was a four-seater with a baby seat in the back.
01:12:56.718 --> 01:13:00.138
JEANETTE: I made the mistake of sliding my phone into my pocket.
01:13:00.198 --> 01:13:07.498
JEANETTE: I got into the baby seat, and I'm pretty sure that when I got out of the baby seat, the phone fell into the fake seat.
01:13:07.938 --> 01:13:13.598
VIRGINIA: By baby seat audience, she means like a jump seat that you could convert from a trunk into a seat.
01:13:13.598 --> 01:13:16.958
VIRGINIA: She wasn't sitting in an infant car seat.
01:13:16.958 --> 01:13:19.038
JEANETTE: No, but there was no space for my legs.
01:13:19.038 --> 01:13:20.138
VIRGINIA: No, there was not.
01:13:20.138 --> 01:13:21.978
JEANETTE: I had to sit with my legs.
01:13:21.978 --> 01:13:22.738
VIRGINIA: To the side.
01:13:22.738 --> 01:13:23.698
JEANETTE: Sideways.
01:13:23.698 --> 01:13:25.778
VIRGINIA: She was doing side saddle in the back.
01:13:25.858 --> 01:13:26.858
NANCI: Exactly.
01:13:26.858 --> 01:13:29.478
NANCI: Like a lady does.
01:13:29.478 --> 01:13:50.858
CHRISSY: Before we realized that we needed to be looking for Jeanette's phone, we had also decided that we were going to wind down and bought bottled cocktails from the commissary at the hotel and settled in for the new version of the Parent Trap because obviously we needed to do a critical comparison.
01:13:51.518 --> 01:13:54.498
CHRISSY: And everyone's going to hate me, but I'm still on Lindsay Lohan's side.
01:13:54.498 --> 01:13:55.558
<v SPEAKER_2>No.
01:13:55.558 --> 01:13:56.318
VIRGINIA: Yes.
01:13:56.318 --> 01:13:58.558
VIRGINIA: The new 30-year-old version of Parent Trap.
01:13:58.558 --> 01:13:59.978
<v SPEAKER_2>Haley Mills for the wife.
01:13:59.978 --> 01:14:01.138
CHRISSY: Agree to disagree.
01:14:01.138 --> 01:14:02.038
MARIA: I think I'm team Lilo.
01:14:02.038 --> 01:14:08.458
CHRISSY: And then I'm pretty sure in the middle of the movie, I went in the other room to go to the bathroom and then just never came back out.
01:14:08.458 --> 01:14:08.778
MARIA: Yeah.
01:14:08.778 --> 01:14:09.658
<v SPEAKER_2>You Irish goodbyes.
01:14:09.658 --> 01:14:11.998
MARIA: You Irish goodbyes in the middle of a movie.
01:14:11.998 --> 01:14:14.378
MARIA: What the heck, Chris?
01:14:14.378 --> 01:14:15.598
CHRISSY: I was only 10 feet away.
01:14:15.598 --> 01:14:17.158
CHRISSY: It couldn't have been that Irish.
01:14:17.158 --> 01:14:18.198
<v SPEAKER_2>It's a very small town.
01:14:18.258 --> 01:14:20.618
CHRISSY: So I don't know what happened after that because I was asleep.
01:14:20.618 --> 01:14:24.378
VIRGINIA: Well, we basically decided we were tired and ready to go to bed anyway.
01:14:24.378 --> 01:14:32.118
VIRGINIA: So we did the same thing, I think, the next morning where we got up and we're watching the rest of the movie while we got ready.
01:14:32.118 --> 01:14:32.558
VIRGINIA: All right.
01:14:32.558 --> 01:14:35.798
VIRGINIA: So that brings us to Sunday, January 26th.
01:14:35.798 --> 01:14:43.538
VIRGINIA: So we packed up all of our bags and took them out to Bell Services.
01:14:43.538 --> 01:14:48.618
VIRGINIA: We had all packed our day bags with what we would need for our transfer over to the Riviera.
01:14:48.618 --> 01:14:51.658
VIRGINIA: We took a lift over and we had our brunch at Topolino.
01:14:53.538 --> 01:14:54.478
VIRGINIA: It was amazing.
01:14:54.478 --> 01:14:58.938
VIRGINIA: As usual, I had the steak and eggs for the first time there.
01:14:58.938 --> 01:15:00.658
VIRGINIA: It was so good.
01:15:00.758 --> 01:15:05.238
VIRGINIA: That is not normally something that I would gravitate towards on the menu.
01:15:05.238 --> 01:15:10.678
VIRGINIA: Normally, I think in the past, I've gotten the avocado toast or the quiche or things like that.
01:15:10.678 --> 01:15:16.678
VIRGINIA: But I gave it a go and I have to say, that's going to be what I'm ordering every time I go to brunch there from now on.
01:15:16.818 --> 01:15:18.218
VIRGINIA: It was that good.
01:15:18.218 --> 01:15:21.438
VIRGINIA: After brunch, we split up a bit.
01:15:21.438 --> 01:15:39.278
VIRGINIA: So, Nanci and Maria and I were able to go over to Cast Connection, which is the discounted store for Disney employees where they can bring a couple of guests based on Nanci's friend from California growing up, Shalom, and Shalom is so sweet.
01:15:39.278 --> 01:15:52.738
VIRGINIA: I've met her a couple of times now and she's just the best and she is a cast member that works in events and so she was gracious enough to meet us there so that we could all go in to the Cast Connection and I scored big time.
01:15:52.738 --> 01:15:53.418
<v SPEAKER_2>She really did.
01:15:53.738 --> 01:15:55.018
<v SPEAKER_2>You got some good stuff.
01:15:55.018 --> 01:16:01.498
VIRGINIA: I did, including some stuff for a giveaway, which will be for the two-year anniversary of the podcast.
01:16:01.498 --> 01:16:03.918
VIRGINIA: So, you can look for that at some point in the future.
01:16:03.958 --> 01:16:08.638
VIRGINIA: I'm going to do a haul because I spent like $240.
01:16:08.638 --> 01:16:10.498
VIRGINIA: So, I will be doing a haul at some point.
01:16:10.938 --> 01:16:14.898
VIRGINIA: I just need to get my voice back in shape before I do that.
01:16:14.898 --> 01:16:23.038
VIRGINIA: Anywho, while we were doing that, Jeanette and Chrissy hung back at the Riviera.
01:16:23.038 --> 01:16:26.718
VIRGINIA: So, you want to talk about whatever you did while we were off at Cast Connection?
01:16:26.718 --> 01:16:32.658
CHRISSY: I feel like Jeanette gave me the grand tour of the property because she had stayed there and I had not.
01:16:32.658 --> 01:16:33.918
JEANETTE: Because I believe I own it.
01:16:33.918 --> 01:16:37.958
JEANETTE: I believe that the Riviera is mine because I stayed there for my birthday.
01:16:40.258 --> 01:16:47.038
JEANETTE: But pretty quickly, we changed into swimsuits and hung out at the hot tub and just relaxed.
01:16:47.038 --> 01:16:51.678
JEANETTE: I got my freestyle diet coke with cherry vanilla in it.
01:16:51.678 --> 01:17:00.318
JEANETTE: And, you know, let the Riviera vibes relieve me of the fact that I didn't have my phone.
01:17:00.318 --> 01:17:16.598
JEANETTE: And by this time, we had found out thanks to Chrissy for answering the uber call, that my phone was actually found by the driver and that he would at some point in time that day when he was close to Walt Disney World, return it to us at Riviera.
01:17:16.598 --> 01:17:22.278
JEANETTE: But that did mean we had to kind of stay close to be there when he showed up.
01:17:22.278 --> 01:17:27.758
JEANETTE: So we stayed close by relaxing by the hot tub and the pool, which is never a bad way to spend a day.
01:17:27.758 --> 01:17:28.998
CHRISSY: I was not mad about it.
01:17:28.998 --> 01:17:37.378
VIRGINIA: After Cast Connection, Shalom brought us back to the hotel and I hopped out.
01:17:37.378 --> 01:17:39.898
VIRGINIA: Nanci continued to hang out with her for a while.
01:17:39.898 --> 01:17:41.758
VIRGINIA: I think they went to Disney Springs.
01:17:41.758 --> 01:17:45.458
VIRGINIA: I went down to Bar Riviera and got some lunch.
01:17:45.458 --> 01:17:48.878
VIRGINIA: I had the Greek salad and a little cocktail for myself.
01:17:48.878 --> 01:18:01.398
VIRGINIA: And I sat at the main pool just so I could have a view of the Skyliner and kind of feel the energy of everybody hanging out at the pool because it was warm enough that children did not care about getting in a pool.
01:18:02.878 --> 01:18:04.298
JEANETTE: Neither did Chrissy and Maria.
01:18:04.298 --> 01:18:04.818
JEANETTE: They got in the pool.
01:18:04.818 --> 01:18:04.998
VIRGINIA: Okay.
01:18:04.998 --> 01:18:06.298
VIRGINIA: It was too cold for the pool.
01:18:06.298 --> 01:18:08.218
MARIA: It wasn't a good idea, but I did it.
01:18:08.218 --> 01:18:08.978
VIRGINIA: Right.
01:18:08.978 --> 01:18:10.038
JEANETTE: I tried.
01:18:10.038 --> 01:18:11.238
JEANETTE: I didn't get all the way in.
01:18:11.238 --> 01:18:13.378
JEANETTE: I was like, hot tub feels better.
01:18:13.378 --> 01:18:13.878
VIRGINIA: It did.
01:18:13.878 --> 01:18:21.158
VIRGINIA: And so after I was done eating, I came over, got changed into my bathing suit, and then I joined them in the hot tub.
01:18:21.158 --> 01:18:23.198
VIRGINIA: And we made friends in the hot tub.
01:18:23.198 --> 01:18:25.338
<v SPEAKER_2>That we proceeded to see.
01:18:25.338 --> 01:18:26.418
MARIA: Seventeen more times.
01:18:27.758 --> 01:18:30.418
<v SPEAKER_2>Every hour for the next day.
01:18:30.418 --> 01:18:31.298
VIRGINIA: It's true.
01:18:31.298 --> 01:18:36.618
VIRGINIA: I have no idea what their names were, but two couples, one of them, I think, was from Texas.
01:18:36.618 --> 01:18:37.218
MARIA: Arkansas.
01:18:37.558 --> 01:18:38.558
MARIA: They were so sweet.
01:18:38.558 --> 01:18:39.858
MARIA: I loved them.
01:18:39.858 --> 01:18:40.298
VIRGINIA: Yep.
01:18:40.298 --> 01:18:42.238
VIRGINIA: They were so sweet.
01:18:42.238 --> 01:18:43.338
VIRGINIA: We fell in love with them.
01:18:43.338 --> 01:18:44.538
VIRGINIA: We just kept seeing them everywhere.
01:18:44.538 --> 01:18:45.818
VIRGINIA: And it was just like, hot tub friends.
01:18:45.818 --> 01:18:47.698
VIRGINIA: That's what I just started calling them.
01:18:47.698 --> 01:18:52.878
MARIA: Also, so folks, if you're listening to the podcast, because we told you to listen, here is your shout out.
01:18:52.878 --> 01:18:58.458
MARIA: And also DM Virginia so that we can get your information because you guys were so much fun.
01:18:58.458 --> 01:18:59.558
VIRGINIA: They have a trip coming up.
01:18:59.558 --> 01:19:02.798
VIRGINIA: I was like, message me so that you can come be on the show.
01:19:02.798 --> 01:19:06.598
VIRGINIA: So hopefully they will if they are listening and they hear this.
01:19:06.598 --> 01:19:08.098
VIRGINIA: But yeah, we just kept running into them.
01:19:08.098 --> 01:19:10.558
VIRGINIA: We just were chilling in the hot tub.
01:19:10.558 --> 01:19:15.178
VIRGINIA: After they left, a father and two kids got in the hot tub.
01:19:15.178 --> 01:19:17.358
VIRGINIA: And we were chatting with them and the kids were just so cute.
01:19:17.358 --> 01:19:19.918
VIRGINIA: And we just had like a nice little time.
01:19:19.918 --> 01:19:21.738
VIRGINIA: Then by that point, our room was ready.
01:19:22.038 --> 01:19:30.638
VIRGINIA: And surprise, surprise, we got an upgrade from a one-bedroom DVC villa to a two-bedroom DVC villa.
01:19:30.638 --> 01:19:31.618
MARIA: Absolutely incredible.
01:19:31.618 --> 01:19:32.538
VIRGINIA: The castle.
01:19:32.538 --> 01:19:34.418
VIRGINIA: It was so nice.
01:19:34.418 --> 01:19:38.458
VIRGINIA: And I think that the only reason that happened was really because we only had one night booked.
01:19:38.458 --> 01:19:44.818
VIRGINIA: So it's very easy to upgrade somebody for one night to make room for somebody you need a one-bedroom for for a complete week.
01:19:44.818 --> 01:19:50.198
VIRGINIA: So we went up, we took a tour of the room, we got showers.
01:19:50.598 --> 01:19:55.798
VIRGINIA: At some point, we were like, we need to eat some dinner before we had the Moonlight Magic Party at Hollywood Studios.
01:19:55.798 --> 01:20:01.658
VIRGINIA: So a couple of us ordered dinner from Primo Piatto and brought it back up to the room.
01:20:01.658 --> 01:20:03.218
VIRGINIA: We all got ready.
01:20:03.218 --> 01:20:07.618
VIRGINIA: Nancy rejoined us then from her Disney Springs time with Shalom.
01:20:07.618 --> 01:20:14.518
VIRGINIA: And then we all took off on the Skyliner to go to Hollywood Studios and ended up getting there at about 7.15.
01:20:14.518 --> 01:20:19.398
VIRGINIA: Seven was the earliest we were able to get in for the DVC party for those who did not have annual passes.
01:20:20.038 --> 01:20:24.338
VIRGINIA: And it was just a lovely evening.
01:20:24.338 --> 01:20:26.598
VIRGINIA: We first did some shopping.
01:20:26.598 --> 01:20:32.978
VIRGINIA: We did vacation fun for the little Mickey shorts while we were kind of waiting for the regular park hours to close.
01:20:32.978 --> 01:20:38.958
VIRGINIA: We split up at that point and a couple of us did star tours and a couple of us did the Muppets.
01:20:38.958 --> 01:20:42.698
VIRGINIA: And then we all met up again at ABC Commissary.
01:20:42.698 --> 01:20:47.278
VIRGINIA: Some people had dinner and some people had snacks using our snack coupons.
01:20:47.278 --> 01:20:48.758
<v SPEAKER_2>Buffalo fries are so good.
01:20:49.038 --> 01:20:59.758
VIRGINIA: I was about to say, I discovered that I must officially like buffalo flavor because I never did before and I thought the only thing I liked was the buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich that they have there.
01:20:59.758 --> 01:21:01.378
VIRGINIA: But the buffalo fries were amazing.
01:21:01.378 --> 01:21:04.238
VIRGINIA: So I guess I'm a buffalo fan.
01:21:04.238 --> 01:21:07.838
VIRGINIA: After that, we did Rise of the Resistance.
01:21:07.838 --> 01:21:10.698
VIRGINIA: It was the shortest line I've ever seen for Rise.
01:21:10.698 --> 01:21:12.518
VIRGINIA: Because I think by that point, the party must have.
01:21:12.518 --> 01:21:13.258
MARIA: It must have.
01:21:13.258 --> 01:21:14.058
VIRGINIA: Is that right?
01:21:14.058 --> 01:21:15.138
MARIA: By that point, yeah.
01:21:15.778 --> 01:21:18.178
JEANETTE: And all the animatronics were in A mode.
01:21:18.178 --> 01:21:18.518
VIRGINIA: Yes.
01:21:18.518 --> 01:21:20.178
JEANETTE: It was especially magical.
01:21:20.178 --> 01:21:21.138
VIRGINIA: It was great.
01:21:21.138 --> 01:21:26.518
<v SPEAKER_2>Again, thanks to my ADHD, I had completely forgotten everything about that ride.
01:21:26.518 --> 01:21:29.878
<v SPEAKER_2>So it was like riding it for the first time.
01:21:29.878 --> 01:21:33.718
VIRGINIA: No, it was funny because Nanci goes, I don't remember anything about this.
01:21:33.718 --> 01:21:35.578
VIRGINIA: And so I was like, you don't?
01:21:35.578 --> 01:21:41.938
VIRGINIA: And so when we got into the lift to do the drop, I just watched her and it was like she was doing it all over again for the first time.
01:21:41.938 --> 01:21:42.498
<v SPEAKER_2>Like Dory.
01:21:43.878 --> 01:21:47.678
VIRGINIA: From there, we headed over to ride Slinky Dog Dash.
01:21:47.678 --> 01:21:51.438
VIRGINIA: And that wasn't too long a wait either.
01:21:51.438 --> 01:21:53.618
VIRGINIA: I don't remember how long it was specifically.
01:21:53.638 --> 01:21:54.418
JEANETTE: 20 minutes.
01:21:54.418 --> 01:21:55.938
VIRGINIA: Yeah, sounds about right.
01:21:55.938 --> 01:22:08.278
CHRISSY: I would like to take this moment to recognize that every person my sister saw in Eagles gear, this was right after the Eagles had taken the NFC Championship, solid Go Birds for solid 24 hours.
01:22:08.278 --> 01:22:11.598
MARIA: I Go Birds somebody on the subway today because he had the Eagles hat on.
01:22:11.598 --> 01:22:18.178
MARIA: And also Go Birds, I hope by this time, I mean, by this time, by the time this comes out, the Super Bowl will have already happened, so.
01:22:18.178 --> 01:22:19.878
CHRISSY: Do not jinx it.
01:22:19.878 --> 01:22:24.798
VIRGINIA: Future Virginia chiming in to say they in fact did not jinx it.
01:22:24.798 --> 01:22:28.138
VIRGINIA: Congratulations to the Eagles on their Super Bowl win.
01:22:28.138 --> 01:22:29.878
VIRGINIA: And now back to the show.
01:22:31.458 --> 01:22:32.058
MARIA: Just Go Birds.
01:22:34.258 --> 01:22:48.058
<v SPEAKER_2>Speaking of animals, it just made me, reminded me about how many service dogs I saw on this trip after never seeing a service dog on a Disney property ever in my entire life.
01:22:48.418 --> 01:22:49.518
<v SPEAKER_2>I kept a count.
01:22:49.518 --> 01:22:51.158
<v SPEAKER_2>I saw 11 this time.
01:22:51.158 --> 01:22:52.818
<v SPEAKER_2>I saw 11 personally.
01:22:52.818 --> 01:22:54.678
VIRGINIA: I feel like I saw that many in one day.
01:22:54.678 --> 01:22:55.218
VIRGINIA: It was a lot.
01:22:55.218 --> 01:22:58.238
<v SPEAKER_2>You're more perceptive than I am, so it's possible.
01:22:59.938 --> 01:23:00.558
VIRGINIA: All right.
01:23:00.558 --> 01:23:03.298
VIRGINIA: We are running out of time, so I'm going to try to zip through this.
01:23:03.798 --> 01:23:09.718
VIRGINIA: From there, we went and we took advantage of the free ice cream and free popsicles.
01:23:09.718 --> 01:23:10.638
<v SPEAKER_2>I got a popsicle.
01:23:10.658 --> 01:23:12.818
VIRGINIA: For people to just run and grab.
01:23:12.818 --> 01:23:17.718
VIRGINIA: Yes, poor Maria with her lactose intolerance grabbed a popsicle.
01:23:18.998 --> 01:23:23.978
VIRGINIA: Then we grabbed some more snacks with our snack coupons on the way over to watch Fantasmic.
01:23:23.978 --> 01:23:28.158
VIRGINIA: They had a special showing just for the DVC Moonlight Magic.
01:23:28.158 --> 01:23:39.378
VIRGINIA: We had to run towards the end because it was about to start, and I really wanted to catch the arm-waving at the beginning because that's one of the best parts, and we made it.
01:23:39.378 --> 01:23:40.758
VIRGINIA: Just in time for arm-waving.
01:23:40.758 --> 01:23:41.558
VIRGINIA: Oh, yeah.
01:23:41.558 --> 01:23:43.818
VIRGINIA: She was like, Friends, we need to walk.
01:23:43.818 --> 01:23:45.878
VIRGINIA: And I was like, I don't want to miss the arm-waving.
01:23:47.558 --> 01:23:49.298
VIRGINIA: Oh, I don't know.
01:23:49.298 --> 01:23:51.198
VIRGINIA: Disney brings out the kid in all of us, right?
01:23:51.198 --> 01:23:52.198
VIRGINIA: And I felt like a kid.
01:23:52.198 --> 01:23:53.538
VIRGINIA: That was the part I wanted to see.
01:23:53.538 --> 01:23:55.898
VIRGINIA: So it was great.
01:23:55.898 --> 01:24:02.658
VIRGINIA: We did decide to go and do Mickey and Minnie then because there was not a long wait for that.
01:24:02.658 --> 01:24:08.578
VIRGINIA: On our way over to walk and see Mickey and Minnie, lots of people gave us their extra snack coupons.
01:24:08.578 --> 01:24:11.038
VIRGINIA: So we were rich with snack coupons.
01:24:11.158 --> 01:24:14.278
JEANETTE: I think we started with three and we all ended up with the fourth one.
01:24:14.278 --> 01:24:15.518
VIRGINIA: Yeah, it was great.
01:24:15.518 --> 01:24:17.918
VIRGINIA: So it was like popcorn for everyone.
01:24:18.938 --> 01:24:23.018
VIRGINIA: So from there, we went over and did Tower of Terror.
01:24:23.018 --> 01:24:27.118
VIRGINIA: And Chrissy, I believe, sat out of that and was the official popcorn holder.
01:24:27.118 --> 01:24:30.258
MARIA: No, I was the popcorn holder and Chrissy was brave.
01:24:30.258 --> 01:24:31.558
VIRGINIA: Oh, it was Maria.
01:24:31.558 --> 01:24:32.398
CHRISSY: That's a brave word.
01:24:32.398 --> 01:24:32.778
VIRGINIA: Chrissy was brave.
01:24:32.778 --> 01:24:35.778
CHRISSY: I haven't ridden that ride in like probably five solid years.
01:24:35.778 --> 01:24:37.278
CHRISSY: So I did feel brave.
01:24:37.278 --> 01:24:38.578
<v SPEAKER_2>You were.
01:24:38.578 --> 01:24:40.338
VIRGINIA: And how did you feel after it was over?
01:24:40.338 --> 01:24:41.958
CHRISSY: I mean, delightful.
01:24:41.958 --> 01:24:42.378
<v SPEAKER_2>It's so good.
01:24:42.378 --> 01:24:43.278
VIRGINIA: It's so much fun.
01:24:43.278 --> 01:24:44.978
JEANETTE: And our hot tub friends were in our car.
01:24:44.978 --> 01:24:45.918
VIRGINIA: Yes.
01:24:45.918 --> 01:24:47.018
VIRGINIA: Oh my gosh.
01:24:47.018 --> 01:24:55.738
VIRGINIA: I haven't even looked at the photo yet, but our hot tub friends are in our Tower of Terror photo because they happened to come and be on the same exact car as us.
01:24:56.078 --> 01:24:58.238
VIRGINIA: And it was one of the many times that we saw them.
01:24:58.238 --> 01:25:00.338
VIRGINIA: And I was like, this is fate.
01:25:00.338 --> 01:25:01.398
VIRGINIA: These are our friends now.
01:25:01.398 --> 01:25:03.158
VIRGINIA: So yeah, I have to go look at that photo.
01:25:03.158 --> 01:25:03.918
<v SPEAKER_2>I love this ride.
01:25:03.918 --> 01:25:05.418
<v SPEAKER_2>It's one of my favorite rides.
01:25:05.418 --> 01:25:06.858
<v SPEAKER_2>And I get so excited.
01:25:06.858 --> 01:25:15.038
<v SPEAKER_2>And then right as I get strapped in the car, it immediately sets in how terrified I get on this ride.
01:25:15.038 --> 01:25:19.918
<v SPEAKER_2>And I get like many panic attacks the whole way.
01:25:19.918 --> 01:25:23.698
<v SPEAKER_2>And then the pictures always of everybody looking like they're having fun.
01:25:23.778 --> 01:25:29.698
<v SPEAKER_2>And then I look like I've just witnessed a murder.
01:25:29.838 --> 01:25:32.078
CHRISSY: It made two of us this time.
01:25:32.078 --> 01:25:32.798
<v SPEAKER_2>It's true.
01:25:32.798 --> 01:25:36.978
VIRGINIA: So from there, we of course headed over to Rock and Roll Gloucester because it was right there.
01:25:36.978 --> 01:25:39.218
VIRGINIA: A couple of us wrote it twice in a row.
01:25:39.218 --> 01:25:40.998
VIRGINIA: Some people only wrote it one time.
01:25:40.998 --> 01:25:44.078
VIRGINIA: Well, I think Nanci and I were the only people who wrote it a second time.
01:25:44.078 --> 01:25:45.838
VIRGINIA: But there was no line.
01:25:45.838 --> 01:25:47.558
VIRGINIA: And the party was about to close.
01:25:47.558 --> 01:25:50.358
VIRGINIA: So we were like, let's run and quickly get in line.
01:25:50.358 --> 01:25:52.938
VIRGINIA: We could have done it a third time before the party ended.
01:25:53.718 --> 01:25:56.178
VIRGINIA: But I was good to go with too.
01:25:56.178 --> 01:25:59.418
VIRGINIA: And then we saw our friends from the hot tub again.
01:25:59.418 --> 01:26:03.138
VIRGINIA: And we ended up deciding that we would ride back in the Skyliner together.
01:26:03.138 --> 01:26:07.478
VIRGINIA: But we barely missed saying that we would do that as we were getting on.
01:26:07.478 --> 01:26:09.958
VIRGINIA: So we were like, we'll meet you at the transfer point.
01:26:09.958 --> 01:26:14.698
VIRGINIA: So then we ended up getting into the same car all together for the last bit.
01:26:14.698 --> 01:26:16.878
VIRGINIA: So that was a lot of fun.
01:26:16.878 --> 01:26:18.838
VIRGINIA: And then that was the end of that night.
01:26:18.838 --> 01:26:22.558
VIRGINIA: And that brings us to our departure day, which was Monday, January 27th.
01:26:23.258 --> 01:26:24.278
VIRGINIA: We got packed up.
01:26:24.278 --> 01:26:28.198
VIRGINIA: I know Jeanette and I got breakfast at Riviera at the Primo Piatto.
01:26:28.198 --> 01:26:32.718
VIRGINIA: And Nanci and Chrissy and Maria were ready to go already.
01:26:32.718 --> 01:26:37.058
VIRGINIA: So they headed over to the Magic Kingdom to get their magic started early.
01:26:37.058 --> 01:26:43.938
VIRGINIA: So I will toss it over to the three of you to briefly tell us what you did during that time until you met up with us.
01:26:43.938 --> 01:26:48.798
MARIA: We had finished packing and were ready to go before the rest of the gals.
01:26:49.358 --> 01:26:57.278
MARIA: So we went down and dropped our luggage at Bell Services and we got on a bus to go over to Magic Kingdom and we needed breakfast.
01:26:57.278 --> 01:27:03.378
MARIA: So obviously when one gets breakfast in Magic Kingdom, you get the fruit, nutella, waffle from Sleepy Hollow.
01:27:03.378 --> 01:27:07.818
MARIA: That was when we learned about the berries on the side tip.
01:27:07.818 --> 01:27:14.178
MARIA: We didn't have any Lightning Lane or Multi Pass this time, but Haunted Mansion had a short line, so we did that.
01:27:14.238 --> 01:27:18.738
MARIA: Obviously, we went back to Mama Tabori because it is Nanci's favorite store.
01:27:18.738 --> 01:27:20.418
MARIA: We did Philhar Magic.
01:27:20.418 --> 01:27:22.138
MARIA: It was glorious.
01:27:22.138 --> 01:27:25.998
MARIA: By that point, Virginia and Jeanette had gotten into the park, so we met up with them.
01:27:25.998 --> 01:27:29.258
MARIA: I think you guys did a little bit of some stuff before we met.
01:27:29.258 --> 01:27:36.198
VIRGINIA: We first got into the park and saw the Dapper Dan's coming, so we stood and saw that they were next to one of the Main Street vehicles.
01:27:36.198 --> 01:27:41.438
VIRGINIA: So we thought maybe we could get on a Main Street vehicle, but then we realized they were going to be riding it.
01:27:42.218 --> 01:27:45.858
VIRGINIA: We asked with big smiles and big eyes.
01:27:45.858 --> 01:27:49.638
NANCI: I offered Virginia's services with her beautiful voice.
01:27:49.638 --> 01:27:52.118
VIRGINIA: Well, I was like, do you need a mezzo?
01:27:52.118 --> 01:27:55.698
VIRGINIA: Which I don't sound like a mezzo today, but trust me, I am.
01:27:56.618 --> 01:28:00.178
VIRGINIA: They were like, no, we can't have anybody on the car with us while we're riding.
01:28:00.178 --> 01:28:01.198
VIRGINIA: I was like, we understand.
01:28:01.198 --> 01:28:02.178
VIRGINIA: We understand.
01:28:02.178 --> 01:28:07.318
VIRGINIA: So then we thought, well, we'll do the double-decker bus instead of the horse and carriage.
01:28:07.318 --> 01:28:09.718
VIRGINIA: So we went over to try to get that.
01:28:10.338 --> 01:28:13.458
VIRGINIA: There was something about to happen, I think.
01:28:13.458 --> 01:28:14.498
JEANETTE: Check to schedule.
01:28:14.498 --> 01:28:17.878
JEANETTE: I think it was the stage show.
01:28:17.878 --> 01:28:18.098
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
01:28:18.098 --> 01:28:19.638
VIRGINIA: So it was going to be a while.
01:28:19.638 --> 01:28:26.278
VIRGINIA: So by the time we realized that, we just said, let's go get a photo with the castle.
01:28:26.278 --> 01:28:30.398
VIRGINIA: And then Jeanette had never been to the big top shop back in the circus area.
01:28:30.398 --> 01:28:32.578
VIRGINIA: So we went and just kind of wandered around there for a minute.
01:28:32.578 --> 01:28:41.558
VIRGINIA: And then we spent most of our time sitting on a curb next to the teacups and just chatting and enjoying the vibes.
01:28:41.558 --> 01:28:44.318
JEANETTE: Talking about life and love and the magic of the magic.
01:28:44.318 --> 01:28:48.098
VIRGINIA: Yeah, we were totally content to just sit there and wait.
01:28:48.098 --> 01:28:52.818
VIRGINIA: And so once the girls met up with us, we all rode teacups.
01:28:52.818 --> 01:28:58.018
VIRGINIA: We divided up among people who wanted spinning and people who did not want spinning.
01:28:58.018 --> 01:29:02.938
VIRGINIA: I typically prefer not to spin, but I can be convinced on occasion to spin.
01:29:02.938 --> 01:29:05.218
VIRGINIA: But this time I opted to go with the non-spinners.
01:29:05.278 --> 01:29:10.298
MARIA: Even though I was in a non-spinny teacup, I still somehow lost my footing.
01:29:10.298 --> 01:29:16.698
MARIA: And this is the second time that I fell because I forgot that it was a teacup on top of a saucer and then the ground.
01:29:16.698 --> 01:29:21.078
MARIA: So when I was stepping off of the saucer, I tumbled for the second time on this trip.
01:29:21.078 --> 01:29:22.898
NANCI: Poor boo boo.
01:29:22.898 --> 01:29:25.218
VIRGINIA: Yeah, you stepped on the saucer and thought that was the ground.
01:29:25.218 --> 01:29:26.298
VIRGINIA: And then you started to walk.
01:29:26.298 --> 01:29:29.498
MARIA: I kept walking and there was no saucer under me.
01:29:29.498 --> 01:29:33.358
VIRGINIA: After that, we all went and rode the people mover.
01:29:34.318 --> 01:29:37.918
VIRGINIA: And then we decided to go back to the customizable popcorn.
01:29:37.918 --> 01:29:40.038
VIRGINIA: And some people repeated their favorites.
01:29:40.038 --> 01:29:45.738
VIRGINIA: I got one for myself this time because I had had a taste of Jeanette's strawberry popcorn.
01:29:45.738 --> 01:29:48.058
VIRGINIA: So I got some of that for myself.
01:29:48.058 --> 01:29:51.018
VIRGINIA: And then we exited the Magic Kingdom.
01:29:51.018 --> 01:29:56.998
VIRGINIA: We said a fond farewell to Chrissy and Maria who had to head back to the airport.
01:29:56.998 --> 01:30:00.558
VIRGINIA: And then Nanci and Jeanette and I hopped over to Epcot.
01:30:00.898 --> 01:30:04.718
VIRGINIA: We look at the chalk art for the Festival of the Arts.
01:30:04.718 --> 01:30:10.998
VIRGINIA: Nanci and I recreated our Mexico street corn and margarita moment again.
01:30:10.998 --> 01:30:15.438
VIRGINIA: Then Nanci decided she would have some alone time wandering her own Festival of the Arts.
01:30:15.438 --> 01:30:20.738
VIRGINIA: So while she did that, Jeanette and I kept our Vianapoli lunch reservation.
01:30:20.738 --> 01:30:26.378
VIRGINIA: While we were over there, I happened to see my friend Renee, who is on the podcast.
01:30:26.378 --> 01:30:29.098
VIRGINIA: I was sitting on a bench, I heard my name.
01:30:29.098 --> 01:30:30.298
VIRGINIA: I looked up, there she was.
01:30:30.958 --> 01:30:34.938
VIRGINIA: And it was amazing to get to meet her in person and her little baby, Okie.
01:30:34.938 --> 01:30:36.438
VIRGINIA: So that was so much fun.
01:30:36.438 --> 01:30:42.498
VIRGINIA: And then I ended up seeing my friend Ashlee, who is Ashlee Ever After, and her husband, Nate.
01:30:42.498 --> 01:30:50.458
VIRGINIA: They were wandering around the world, she gave us, we were texting, and she eventually met up with us after our Vianapoli lunch to say hi.
01:30:50.458 --> 01:30:51.998
VIRGINIA: We got some pictures.
01:30:51.998 --> 01:30:54.898
VIRGINIA: It was nice to meet her for the first time in person.
01:30:54.898 --> 01:30:57.138
VIRGINIA: I've interviewed her before and she's just so sweet.
01:30:57.138 --> 01:31:01.518
VIRGINIA: And I had not talked to Nate before, and he was just as sweet as well.
01:31:01.518 --> 01:31:10.378
VIRGINIA: And then we split up again, so Jeanette went on her way and I went to France because I wanted to get a mackerel, and I wanted to get a frosé.
01:31:10.598 --> 01:31:11.958
VIRGINIA: Jeanette, what did you do?
01:31:11.958 --> 01:31:20.158
JEANETTE: I went to Germany to have the black forest cake, which had previously been like my favorite Epcot bite.
01:31:20.158 --> 01:31:22.178
JEANETTE: It felt a little extra rich.
01:31:22.178 --> 01:31:24.378
JEANETTE: I don't know, maybe my palate has changed.
01:31:24.378 --> 01:31:24.638
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
01:31:24.638 --> 01:31:26.238
JEANETTE: But it is still very delicious.
01:31:26.238 --> 01:31:26.878
VIRGINIA: It's delicious.
01:31:26.878 --> 01:31:29.198
VIRGINIA: To me, it's a share though, because it's so rich.
01:31:29.198 --> 01:31:29.598
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
01:31:29.598 --> 01:31:30.458
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
01:31:30.458 --> 01:31:33.478
VIRGINIA: Nanci, what did you do while you were wandering around with your soul?
01:31:33.478 --> 01:31:55.858
<v SPEAKER_2>I made sure to duck into any shop I hadn't yet seen because I very much, I need to see every item of merch available in a trip to feel like I've made sure I found the perfect thing for myself, but I got a drink at Rose and Thorn, is that what it's called?
01:31:56.018 --> 01:31:57.938
VIRGINIA: Rose and Crown.
01:31:57.938 --> 01:31:59.718
<v SPEAKER_2>Rose and Crown.
01:31:59.718 --> 01:32:02.378
<v SPEAKER_2>Got a drink at the Rose and Crown.
01:32:02.378 --> 01:32:04.738
<v SPEAKER_2>Then just walked around a little bit.
01:32:04.738 --> 01:32:09.038
<v SPEAKER_2>I can't remember the specifics I did, but it was really nice.
01:32:09.038 --> 01:32:10.658
<v SPEAKER_2>I really love Epcot.
01:32:11.838 --> 01:32:18.118
<v SPEAKER_2>What I enjoy most about Epcot is just the vibes really.
01:32:18.118 --> 01:32:22.458
<v SPEAKER_2>So I just got to take all of that in, but just I loved it.
01:32:22.458 --> 01:32:23.158
VIRGINIA: It was great.
01:32:23.158 --> 01:32:30.938
VIRGINIA: I think I heard you say, in spite of the fact that in the pre-trip interview, you said that Animal Kingdom was your favorite park.
01:32:30.938 --> 01:32:33.198
VIRGINIA: I think you came to a realization on this trip.
01:32:33.198 --> 01:32:35.578
<v SPEAKER_2>It's really Epcot.
01:32:35.578 --> 01:32:36.458
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
01:32:36.458 --> 01:32:36.778
<v SPEAKER_2>It is.
01:32:36.778 --> 01:32:37.678
<v SPEAKER_2>It's really Epcot.
01:32:37.678 --> 01:32:40.998
<v SPEAKER_2>I can spend more time there more easily.
01:32:40.998 --> 01:32:45.258
<v SPEAKER_2>I love Animal Kingdom, but Animal Kingdom is a half-day park for me.
01:32:45.258 --> 01:32:55.298
<v SPEAKER_2>It has a lot of my favorite things, but Epcot, I need to visit at least once or twice and early on in the trip.
01:32:55.298 --> 01:32:55.998
<v SPEAKER_2>I just love it.
01:32:56.198 --> 01:32:58.858
<v SPEAKER_2>I would bookend a trip with it if I could.
01:32:58.858 --> 01:33:04.798
VIRGINIA: I came to the same realization a couple of years ago where I thought it would be Magic Kingdom for me.
01:33:04.798 --> 01:33:08.378
VIRGINIA: And then I realized my actions were not reflecting that.
01:33:08.378 --> 01:33:11.638
VIRGINIA: I continued to go back to Epcot over and over again, given the choice.
01:33:11.638 --> 01:33:13.838
VIRGINIA: And so that is my favorite.
01:33:13.898 --> 01:33:14.598
<v SPEAKER_2>Me too.
01:33:14.598 --> 01:33:17.018
JEANETTE: I think Magic is my favorite.
01:33:17.018 --> 01:33:22.298
JEANETTE: I go on trips with different friends and things, and I'm the one who's always like, can we go back to Magic?
01:33:22.298 --> 01:33:23.598
JEANETTE: Can we start at Magic?
01:33:23.598 --> 01:33:24.418
JEANETTE: Can we finish at Magic?
01:33:24.418 --> 01:33:26.258
VIRGINIA: I mean, honestly, I love them all.
01:33:26.258 --> 01:33:36.578
VIRGINIA: But if I have to pick one to go to, like if I were going to go on a one-day trip from New York down to Orlando and back in a heartbeat, I would just go to Epcot for the day.
01:33:36.578 --> 01:33:42.618
<v SPEAKER_2>What you kind of have, remember when we did it last year, you kind of, we did Epcot and Magic Kingdom, right?
01:33:42.618 --> 01:33:44.278
<v SPEAKER_2>I think those were the two we went to.
01:33:44.278 --> 01:33:45.598
VIRGINIA: For a December trip.
01:33:45.598 --> 01:33:47.058
VIRGINIA: Yep.
01:33:47.058 --> 01:34:04.878
VIRGINIA: From there, after all three of us came out together, we met up at the International Gateway, we took the Skyliner back to the Riviera, we looked in the store, we got our luggage from Bell Services, we got changed into our comfy clothes, and then suddenly realized how little time we had left to get to the airport.
01:34:04.878 --> 01:34:06.798
<v SPEAKER_2>It was such a stressful time in my life.
01:34:06.998 --> 01:34:10.458
JEANETTE: We left for the airport probably a half hour later than we should have.
01:34:10.458 --> 01:34:17.158
VIRGINIA: Yes, and when we got to the airport, Jeanette and I both have TSA pre-checks, so we were like, we're going to go ahead.
01:34:17.158 --> 01:34:20.338
VIRGINIA: I figured if we got there, we could be like, she's coming.
01:34:22.358 --> 01:34:27.438
VIRGINIA: We went ahead through Nanci, we were so worried about her getting through security.
01:34:27.458 --> 01:34:31.698
VIRGINIA: Once we made our way over to the gate, I was tracking her on my phone.
01:34:31.698 --> 01:34:34.858
VIRGINIA: I was like, it looks like she's on the monorail thing.
01:34:36.238 --> 01:34:40.258
VIRGINIA: So we were tracking her and we're like, they're calling Boarding Group 3.
01:34:40.638 --> 01:34:41.858
VIRGINIA: And it was just like that.
01:34:41.858 --> 01:34:43.658
VIRGINIA: And then she ended up making it on time.
01:34:43.658 --> 01:34:44.978
VIRGINIA: It was fine.
01:34:44.978 --> 01:34:47.818
VIRGINIA: But we will not be cutting it that close next time.
01:34:47.818 --> 01:34:48.478
<v SPEAKER_2>No, no.
01:34:48.478 --> 01:34:52.638
<v SPEAKER_2>I'm definitely one of those people who likes to be there at least an hour early.
01:34:52.638 --> 01:34:54.018
<v SPEAKER_2>I just, I don't know.
01:34:54.458 --> 01:34:56.818
<v SPEAKER_2>I mean, I just get anxious.
01:34:56.818 --> 01:34:58.578
<v SPEAKER_2>So I like to be prepared.
01:34:58.578 --> 01:35:00.498
<v SPEAKER_2>I like to make sure the gate exists.
01:35:00.558 --> 01:35:01.278
<v SPEAKER_2>It was a lot.
01:35:01.278 --> 01:35:02.138
VIRGINIA: It was not fun.
01:35:02.138 --> 01:35:02.738
VIRGINIA: It was not fun.
01:35:03.338 --> 01:35:04.818
JEANETTE: We need a designated adult.
01:35:04.818 --> 01:35:13.298
VIRGINIA: Yes, we've decided someone will be assigned to be the designated, we have to leave now person and they're allowed to be the taskmaster about it.
01:35:13.298 --> 01:35:21.838
VIRGINIA: So Chrissy and Maria, after we bid you adieu, do you have anything to report from that final journey home?
01:35:21.838 --> 01:35:22.538
MARIA: I don't think so.
01:35:22.538 --> 01:35:23.558
MARIA: We got through.
01:35:23.558 --> 01:35:26.758
MARIA: Security was, I think, pretty okay.
01:35:26.758 --> 01:35:38.538
MARIA: Going out of MCO, we were in the same general region, but once you go on the monorail and it splits into three, I was one way and she was another way.
01:35:38.538 --> 01:35:47.298
MARIA: But a pretty uneventful flight home, Mike came and picked me up from the airport and took me home, and then I went back to work on Tuesday.
01:35:47.338 --> 01:35:49.318
<v SPEAKER_7>It was very sad.
01:35:51.358 --> 01:36:05.078
CHRISSY: I feel like the theme of this trip was like, Chrissy getting in fights with grandmas or with random ladies because there was also a woman in my seat on the plane, and she was not understanding that I was like, that is my chair.
01:36:05.078 --> 01:36:08.118
CHRISSY: Please move your things.
01:36:08.118 --> 01:36:09.598
CHRISSY: She was like, do you want the window?
01:36:09.598 --> 01:36:10.778
CHRISSY: I was like, no ma'am.
01:36:10.778 --> 01:36:13.398
MARIA: I picked and paid for the seat that I wanted.
01:36:13.398 --> 01:36:14.598
CHRISSY: Please move your bags.
01:36:14.798 --> 01:36:19.518
CHRISSY: But that message managed to get through on a ventful ride home.
01:36:19.518 --> 01:36:21.338
CHRISSY: No one in the middle seat.
01:36:21.338 --> 01:36:22.298
CHRISSY: Amazing.
01:36:22.298 --> 01:36:24.258
CHRISSY: I was like, put my headphones on.
01:36:24.258 --> 01:36:28.298
CHRISSY: I am ignoring everything that's happening around me, which is how I like a flight.
01:36:28.298 --> 01:36:28.678
VIRGINIA: Yep.
01:36:28.678 --> 01:36:33.218
VIRGINIA: Sad for the trip to end, but I'm so grateful that it happened.
01:36:33.218 --> 01:36:35.158
VIRGINIA: I had so much fun with you ladies.
01:36:35.158 --> 01:36:41.158
VIRGINIA: It was just a blast, and we had so many laughs and ran ourselves ragged.
01:36:41.158 --> 01:36:46.698
VIRGINIA: And it was a reminder of how old I am because I was definitely tired of this trip.
01:36:46.698 --> 01:36:49.738
VIRGINIA: I was like, this is not the same, but I had a great time.
01:36:50.018 --> 01:36:52.038
JEANETTE: We had an amazing time on a budget.
01:36:52.038 --> 01:36:53.378
JEANETTE: We had an amazing time being busy.
01:36:53.378 --> 01:36:55.198
MARIA: It was just an amazing time overall.
01:36:55.198 --> 01:36:56.138
MARIA: It was incredible.
01:36:56.138 --> 01:36:56.638
VIRGINIA: Yep.
01:36:56.638 --> 01:36:59.838
MARIA: And I already want to play at our next school.
01:36:59.838 --> 01:37:00.398
<v SPEAKER_2>That's great.
01:37:00.398 --> 01:37:07.238
<v SPEAKER_2>Well, I know how hard it is to plan for five grown women to get together in the same city.
01:37:07.238 --> 01:37:11.078
<v SPEAKER_2>And we managed to fly out and make a vacation out of it.
01:37:11.078 --> 01:37:12.938
<v SPEAKER_2>And it was lovely.
01:37:12.938 --> 01:37:13.418
<v SPEAKER_2>Thank you all.
01:37:13.878 --> 01:37:18.818
VIRGINIA: This is maybe the beginning of like a travel series.
01:37:18.818 --> 01:37:20.958
MARIA: We could go to Disneyland Paris.
01:37:20.958 --> 01:37:22.698
<v SPEAKER_7>Paris, Disney.
01:37:22.698 --> 01:37:24.298
JEANETTE: Everybody get your passport ready.
01:37:24.298 --> 01:37:26.998
MARIA: Chrissy took French in high school and college, I think.
01:37:26.998 --> 01:37:29.978
VIRGINIA: I mean, so did I, but I don't speak a word of it except for macron.
01:37:29.978 --> 01:37:30.758
CHRISSY: I'm sorry.
01:37:30.758 --> 01:37:31.438
MARIA: Excuse me.
01:37:31.438 --> 01:37:32.518
CHRISSY: It's true.
01:37:32.518 --> 01:37:34.538
<v SPEAKER_2>And I do have a kicky brain.
01:37:34.538 --> 01:37:35.278
<v SPEAKER_2>Well, there you go.
01:37:35.278 --> 01:37:39.138
CHRISSY: I needed to be proficient in French to graduate from college.
01:37:39.138 --> 01:37:39.818
VIRGINIA: Wow.
01:37:39.818 --> 01:37:42.878
VIRGINIA: I'm glad that was not a requirement for me because I would not have graduated.
01:37:43.138 --> 01:37:45.038
CHRISSY: Six semesters of French, baby.
01:37:45.038 --> 01:37:46.178
VIRGINIA: Languages are not my thing.
01:37:46.178 --> 01:37:47.018
VIRGINIA: I wish they were.
01:37:47.018 --> 01:37:53.838
VIRGINIA: Anyhow, thank you all so much, especially getting together at this late hour to reconvene.
01:37:53.838 --> 01:37:56.638
VIRGINIA: Like you said, Nanci, it's really hard to get five people together.
01:37:56.638 --> 01:37:58.638
VIRGINIA: So I know that this was tough getting it scheduled.
01:37:58.638 --> 01:38:02.358
VIRGINIA: So I appreciate everybody's flexibility making that happen.
01:38:02.358 --> 01:38:05.398
VIRGINIA: And I love you all and I'll talk to you later.
01:38:05.398 --> 01:38:06.378
VIRGINIA: Disney Dames forever.
01:38:06.378 --> 01:38:07.218
VIRGINIA: Love you girls.
01:38:07.218 --> 01:38:09.778
VIRGINIA: Disney Dames forever.
01:38:09.778 --> 01:38:12.838
VIRGINIA: Thank you to my beloved Disney Dames for this amazing trip.
01:38:13.018 --> 01:38:15.058
VIRGINIA: And for being on the show.
01:38:15.058 --> 01:38:16.758
VIRGINIA: I love you all so much.
01:38:16.758 --> 01:38:20.198
VIRGINIA: And I can't wait to see where our next adventure will take us.
01:38:20.198 --> 01:38:25.498
VIRGINIA: For listeners, as you hear this, I am in Walt Disney World on my annual trip with my family.
01:38:25.498 --> 01:38:30.098
VIRGINIA: So please make sure you check out my stories that I'm posting on Instagram and follow along.
01:38:30.098 --> 01:38:33.458
VIRGINIA: I'll probably do a little tick tocking while I'm there, too.
01:38:33.458 --> 01:38:35.018
VIRGINIA: That is all for now.
01:38:35.018 --> 01:38:38.658
VIRGINIA: And don't forget, keep daydreaming about where you long to be.
