You may remember Elizabeth from her previous episode where she and her extended family visited WDW and Universal (and she and her husband had a date at Victoria and Albert’s). This time, she’s back to chat about her plans for her upcoming trip that will include a slightly smaller group of that extended family. While the family as a whole has park and resort time planned, this trip is really focused around the Disney Princess Half-Marathon Weekend because Elizabeth and her daughter, Hope, have a need for speed…and more medals!
Trip Dates: February 21-24, 2025

00:00:12.197 --> 00:00:16.257
VIRGINIA: Welcome to Where I Long To Be, a Magical Trip Report Podcast.
00:00:16.257 --> 00:00:18.697
VIRGINIA: My name is Virginia, and I am your host.
00:00:18.697 --> 00:00:22.237
VIRGINIA: I am happy to have you here with me today, wherever you are.
00:00:22.237 --> 00:00:27.277
VIRGINIA: On today's pre-trip report, I am thrilled to welcome back Elizabeth to the podcast.
00:00:27.277 --> 00:00:30.797
VIRGINIA: She was last on the show in August to report on her July trip.
00:00:30.797 --> 00:00:36.497
VIRGINIA: She was a fan favorite, so longtime listeners and daydreamers, I know you'll be happy to have her back.
00:00:36.497 --> 00:00:39.737
VIRGINIA: The link to Elizabeth's previous episodes is in the show notes.
00:00:40.617 --> 00:00:47.657
VIRGINIA: On a personal note, there's a lot of voice cracking in this episode, the lingering effects of that bronchitis I had.
00:00:47.917 --> 00:00:52.217
VIRGINIA: Hopefully, we're getting to the last of the episodes where you might hear the effect in my voice.
00:00:52.957 --> 00:00:54.977
VIRGINIA: Forgive any voice cracking you hear.
00:00:54.977 --> 00:00:57.157
VIRGINIA: Anyway, let's get right into it today.
00:00:57.157 --> 00:00:58.637
VIRGINIA: Here's Elizabeth.
00:00:59.737 --> 00:01:03.137
VIRGINIA: Elizabeth, welcome back to the podcast.
00:01:03.137 --> 00:01:04.057
ELIZABETH: Thank you for having me.
00:01:04.057 --> 00:01:05.317
ELIZABETH: I'm so excited to be back here.
00:01:06.197 --> 00:01:09.817
VIRGINIA: Listeners, you may remember Elizabeth from her previous episode.
00:01:09.817 --> 00:01:12.317
VIRGINIA: She had a trip in July, right?
00:01:12.317 --> 00:01:14.017
ELIZABETH: Yes, that was a big one.
00:01:14.017 --> 00:01:17.277
VIRGINIA: Yes, it was a gigantic family trip.
00:01:17.277 --> 00:01:23.597
VIRGINIA: Disney World, Universal, and the much anticipated Victoria and Albert's reservation.
00:01:23.597 --> 00:01:27.817
VIRGINIA: So I think that will bring you back to people's memories.
00:01:27.817 --> 00:01:31.857
VIRGINIA: And also, you had a lot of listeners for your episodes, Elizabeth.
00:01:31.917 --> 00:01:42.877
VIRGINIA: I will tell you, your friends or whoever you told about the podcast came out in full force because I was like, whoa, whoa, she is bringing in the audience.
00:01:42.877 --> 00:01:47.477
ELIZABETH: Well, thank you for saying that, but I just think you have a super fun podcast in general.
00:01:47.477 --> 00:01:52.757
ELIZABETH: And I think it being such a big trip where so much was covered, hopefully there was something for everybody.
00:01:52.757 --> 00:01:54.377
ELIZABETH: So I'm really glad to hear that.
00:01:54.377 --> 00:01:57.217
VIRGINIA: When you went on your previous trip, you used a travel planner.
00:01:57.217 --> 00:01:59.257
VIRGINIA: So I have to ask, because that's how we came together.
00:01:59.257 --> 00:02:00.657
VIRGINIA: Did you use a travel planner for this?
00:02:02.317 --> 00:02:04.277
ELIZABETH: I will always use Amy Belfi.
00:02:04.277 --> 00:02:10.177
ELIZABETH: And she's with, I might not say this right at this point, but she's with like Mouska Planners now.
00:02:10.177 --> 00:02:13.677
ELIZABETH: And she's just so knowledgeable and so helpful and so organized.
00:02:13.677 --> 00:02:25.957
ELIZABETH: So even though I know quite a bit about Disney at this point, I will never not reach out to her because she always has knowledge beyond what I have or the network to just access answers that I have questions about.
00:02:25.957 --> 00:02:26.397
VIRGINIA: Right.
00:02:26.397 --> 00:02:27.717
VIRGINIA: She's fantastic.
00:02:27.717 --> 00:02:28.837
VIRGINIA: Love her.
00:02:28.837 --> 00:02:29.837
VIRGINIA: She's been on the show as well.
00:02:30.017 --> 00:02:40.337
VIRGINIA: So I will put links to your previous episodes, her previous episode and her contact information in case anybody is looking for a travel planner into the show notes.
00:02:40.337 --> 00:02:49.557
VIRGINIA: Before we get started into this particular trip, why don't you tell the listeners who don't know you, who you are and where you're from and all that jazz?
00:02:49.557 --> 00:02:50.057
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:02:50.057 --> 00:02:51.777
ELIZABETH: Well, hello, listeners.
00:02:51.777 --> 00:02:52.037
ELIZABETH: Yep.
00:02:52.037 --> 00:03:01.657
ELIZABETH: My name is Elizabeth and I am in Omaha, Nebraska, right in the middle of the country, but a convenient, what, two and a half hour flight to Walt Disney World in Florida.
00:03:01.657 --> 00:03:17.297
ELIZABETH: So we go there a couple of times a year and I'm a mom, I'm a teacher, and we started taking our little family to Walt Disney World back in I think October 2020, 2021, like whenever things were kind of opening up after the pandemic.
00:03:17.297 --> 00:03:28.377
ELIZABETH: But it's just a place we fell in love with, with our little kids, and a place that we keep going back to as obviously Virginia totally understands, and the listeners here do too.
00:03:28.377 --> 00:03:37.177
ELIZABETH: So it's super fun to come on and talk about it, and I rarely miss a Where I Long To Be episode, because it's fun to listen when we're in between trips.
00:03:37.177 --> 00:03:38.437
VIRGINIA: Thank you.
00:03:38.437 --> 00:03:40.937
VIRGINIA: And you teach, am I right, eighth grade?
00:03:40.937 --> 00:03:41.777
ELIZABETH: Yes, yes.
00:03:41.777 --> 00:03:50.517
ELIZABETH: I'm actually sitting here in my eighth grade classroom right now on a Saturday morning so that my kids and husband can be at home, and I'm just here in the quiet.
00:03:50.557 --> 00:03:57.457
ELIZABETH: And so, yeah, we're like midwinter with teenagers and writing and researching, and they're doing a good job.
00:03:58.557 --> 00:03:59.937
ELIZABETH: It keeps me busy.
00:03:59.937 --> 00:04:00.357
VIRGINIA: Good.
00:04:00.357 --> 00:04:00.737
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:04:00.737 --> 00:04:02.597
VIRGINIA: Yeah, that can be a tough age.
00:04:02.597 --> 00:04:04.317
VIRGINIA: It's that transition.
00:04:04.317 --> 00:04:04.497
ELIZABETH: Yeah.
00:04:04.497 --> 00:04:09.957
VIRGINIA: So, yeah, I remembered you said that you loved kids that were Alex's age when we spoke last.
00:04:09.957 --> 00:04:10.257
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:04:10.257 --> 00:04:14.117
ELIZABETH: It's fun to listen to Alex because those are my people on a Monday through Friday.
00:04:14.117 --> 00:04:16.057
VIRGINIA: He's 14 and a half at this point.
00:04:16.057 --> 00:04:17.177
ELIZABETH: Yeah, he's older now.
00:04:17.177 --> 00:04:19.037
VIRGINIA: Halfway through his first year of high school.
00:04:19.217 --> 00:04:19.917
VIRGINIA: It's crazy.
00:04:19.917 --> 00:04:20.897
VIRGINIA: Oh, my gosh.
00:04:20.897 --> 00:04:22.637
VIRGINIA: And you have two kids of your own.
00:04:22.637 --> 00:04:23.697
ELIZABETH: I do.
00:04:23.697 --> 00:04:24.697
VIRGINIA: Hope and Dean, right?
00:04:24.697 --> 00:04:25.217
VIRGINIA: Yes.
00:04:25.217 --> 00:04:25.837
ELIZABETH: Good memory.
00:04:25.837 --> 00:04:26.337
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:04:26.337 --> 00:04:26.697
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:04:26.697 --> 00:04:28.497
VIRGINIA: What are their ages at this point?
00:04:28.497 --> 00:04:28.977
ELIZABETH: Yeah.
00:04:28.977 --> 00:04:31.837
ELIZABETH: They are 7 and 9.
00:04:31.837 --> 00:04:34.437
ELIZABETH: Very, very close to 10.
00:04:34.437 --> 00:04:41.457
ELIZABETH: So we're like in those last moments of a child, you know, two children at Disney as opposed to three adults somehow.
00:04:41.457 --> 00:04:42.477
VIRGINIA: Oh, my goodness.
00:04:42.477 --> 00:04:43.117
VIRGINIA: Yes.
00:04:43.117 --> 00:04:44.857
VIRGINIA: It's crazy how they do that.
00:04:44.857 --> 00:04:55.957
VIRGINIA: And then you're like, the next step after the paying for them as an adult is, I think when they're 14 is the age that they are technically allowed to scan into the park and walk around by themselves.
00:04:55.957 --> 00:04:57.137
ELIZABETH: Oh, my gosh.
00:04:57.137 --> 00:04:58.237
ELIZABETH: That's hard to imagine.
00:04:58.237 --> 00:05:00.017
ELIZABETH: But like, my kids could do it.
00:05:00.017 --> 00:05:03.317
ELIZABETH: Like, I think if I told them to go to an attraction, they could.
00:05:03.317 --> 00:05:04.197
ELIZABETH: Would I trust them now?
00:05:04.197 --> 00:05:06.257
ELIZABETH: Absolutely not from a safety perspective.
00:05:06.257 --> 00:05:08.997
ELIZABETH: But like, logistically, they could do it.
00:05:08.997 --> 00:05:13.417
VIRGINIA: Last trip, we did not do any like Alex going into the park by themselves.
00:05:13.417 --> 00:05:17.337
VIRGINIA: But once we were there, I think he went around by himself for a little bit.
00:05:18.777 --> 00:05:29.637
VIRGINIA: But I think our next trip that we go on in another week, he will probably go into the park at least once by himself because part of our split, say, is at Grand Floridian.
00:05:29.637 --> 00:05:32.697
VIRGINIA: And it will be so easy for him to just hop over there.
00:05:32.697 --> 00:05:33.617
ELIZABETH: Absolutely.
00:05:33.617 --> 00:05:34.717
VIRGINIA: And he's a New York City kid.
00:05:34.717 --> 00:05:36.017
VIRGINIA: He rides the subway by himself.
00:05:36.017 --> 00:05:40.037
VIRGINIA: Like, I am not concerned at all about him riding the monorail by himself.
00:05:40.417 --> 00:05:41.337
ELIZABETH: That's very true.
00:05:41.337 --> 00:05:43.797
ELIZABETH: Everything is relative depending on where you come from.
00:05:43.877 --> 00:05:45.317
ELIZABETH: Yeah.
00:05:45.317 --> 00:05:46.117
VIRGINIA: Oh, my goodness.
00:05:46.117 --> 00:05:46.597
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:05:46.597 --> 00:05:49.017
VIRGINIA: Well, let's get into the details of this trip.
00:05:49.017 --> 00:05:53.037
VIRGINIA: And we have two days of our trip that overlap.
00:05:53.037 --> 00:05:56.377
VIRGINIA: So I'm hopeful that maybe we'll get to see each other.
00:05:56.377 --> 00:06:01.437
VIRGINIA: So you are heading down Saturday, February 22nd and coming back on Monday.
00:06:01.437 --> 00:06:04.397
VIRGINIA: No, excuse me, Tuesday, February 25th.
00:06:04.397 --> 00:06:05.537
VIRGINIA: Is that right?
00:06:05.537 --> 00:06:07.017
ELIZABETH: Actually, you're just one day off.
00:06:07.017 --> 00:06:16.957
ELIZABETH: So we had we had down Friday, February 21st, because we're doing the 10K on Saturday and then we come back on Monday following.
00:06:16.957 --> 00:06:19.137
ELIZABETH: So Monday, February 24th.
00:06:19.137 --> 00:06:19.837
VIRGINIA: Got it.
00:06:19.837 --> 00:06:20.897
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:06:20.897 --> 00:06:23.117
VIRGINIA: You're doing a 10K, Elizabeth.
00:06:23.117 --> 00:06:24.217
ELIZABETH: Yes, I know.
00:06:24.217 --> 00:06:25.277
ELIZABETH: I have no business.
00:06:26.297 --> 00:06:30.897
ELIZABETH: I have not been conditioning, but we did the 5K last year and loved it so much.
00:06:30.897 --> 00:06:35.657
ELIZABETH: I just remember finishing it and thinking, you know, there's so much magic and so much adrenaline.
00:06:35.657 --> 00:06:38.237
ELIZABETH: Like, I just remember thinking I could do it again.
00:06:38.237 --> 00:06:39.677
ELIZABETH: Like I could do it again starting right now.
00:06:39.977 --> 00:06:42.517
ELIZABETH: So therefore, I convinced myself I could do 6 miles.
00:06:42.517 --> 00:06:45.017
ELIZABETH: And so that's what we're going to do.
00:06:45.017 --> 00:06:45.737
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:06:45.737 --> 00:06:52.457
VIRGINIA: So you said you haven't been conditioning, but do you A, run at all or B, work out?
00:06:52.457 --> 00:06:52.897
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:06:52.897 --> 00:07:04.097
ELIZABETH: I mean, yes, but I've let that routine part of my wellness slide a little bit since getting back into the classroom the past couple of years.
00:07:04.097 --> 00:07:05.517
ELIZABETH: So yes, I run.
00:07:05.517 --> 00:07:06.277
ELIZABETH: Yes, I walk.
00:07:06.277 --> 00:07:11.857
ELIZABETH: Like, yes, I'll be fine, but I still think it'll be like, oh, I could have done better preparing for this.
00:07:11.857 --> 00:07:12.557
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:07:12.557 --> 00:07:15.337
VIRGINIA: Are you going for a personal record this time?
00:07:15.337 --> 00:07:16.597
ELIZABETH: Absolutely not.
00:07:16.597 --> 00:07:17.617
ELIZABETH: No.
00:07:18.137 --> 00:07:24.517
ELIZABETH: I've heard people in the run Disney community say that I'm looking to PR in magic and in fun.
00:07:24.517 --> 00:07:30.657
ELIZABETH: I think with the 10K, you have to keep that 16 minute mile just to keep on track.
00:07:30.657 --> 00:07:41.897
ELIZABETH: But no, we're just hoping for all the magic that a run in Disney Race brings with characters and fun and whatever our time is, as long as we don't get swept, we're going to be so happy.
00:07:41.897 --> 00:07:54.417
VIRGINIA: Well, you say that now, but Jon, the WDW runner, the two different times I've talked to him about different races he's done, he unintentionally PR'd both times.
00:07:54.417 --> 00:07:55.497
ELIZABETH: Well, that's amazing.
00:07:55.497 --> 00:08:00.117
ELIZABETH: So I can see that because again, there's this adrenaline, you're in that environment.
00:08:00.117 --> 00:08:06.117
ELIZABETH: Like we do, and I remember even last year with the 5K, like we did want to run, like we wanted to do that.
00:08:06.117 --> 00:08:09.077
ELIZABETH: So I could see that.
00:08:09.077 --> 00:08:11.517
VIRGINIA: Well, I will be there for the 5K this year.
00:08:11.517 --> 00:08:13.657
VIRGINIA: It's going to be my very first run Disney race.
00:08:13.657 --> 00:08:15.397
ELIZABETH: I'm so excited for you.
00:08:15.397 --> 00:08:16.357
VIRGINIA: I'm very excited.
00:08:16.357 --> 00:08:20.197
VIRGINIA: I am not nervous about like the race itself.
00:08:20.197 --> 00:08:21.197
VIRGINIA: I'm not a runner.
00:08:21.197 --> 00:08:22.897
VIRGINIA: I'm not a track star.
00:08:24.337 --> 00:08:30.517
VIRGINIA: At this point, like I go through periods where I work out, and right now is not one of those periods, but I do a lot of walking.
00:08:31.017 --> 00:08:35.757
VIRGINIA: And I did a 5K last June.
00:08:35.757 --> 00:08:38.257
VIRGINIA: So I've done one like less than a year ago.
00:08:38.257 --> 00:08:38.817
VIRGINIA: I'll be fine.
00:08:38.817 --> 00:08:40.157
VIRGINIA: I'm going to walk on it.
00:08:40.157 --> 00:08:40.517
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:08:40.517 --> 00:08:41.357
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:08:41.357 --> 00:08:44.177
VIRGINIA: But I just want to have a great time.
00:08:44.177 --> 00:08:50.397
VIRGINIA: And I would love to see at least one rare character that I would want to stop for.
00:08:50.397 --> 00:08:54.437
VIRGINIA: Otherwise, I don't think I'll stop for any characters that I could see anytime.
00:08:54.437 --> 00:08:54.997
ELIZABETH: Right.
00:08:54.997 --> 00:08:56.597
ELIZABETH: I think that's a good strategy.
00:08:56.597 --> 00:09:01.197
VIRGINIA: So when you did it last year, what did you see in terms of characters?
00:09:01.197 --> 00:09:01.677
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:09:01.677 --> 00:09:07.197
ELIZABETH: So when we did it last year, that was the Ariel 5K, and Ariel is my favorite character.
00:09:07.197 --> 00:09:09.897
ELIZABETH: So that was like kind of what drew us to that.
00:09:09.917 --> 00:09:13.857
VIRGINIA: And I'm doing a bound as Ariel to run this year.
00:09:13.857 --> 00:09:15.177
VIRGINIA: So that would have been perfect.
00:09:15.177 --> 00:09:16.537
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:09:16.537 --> 00:09:21.517
ELIZABETH: But my daughter did the 5K with me last year, and her favorite character is Rapunzel.
00:09:21.517 --> 00:09:38.317
ELIZABETH: And when you get to the corrals at 3.30 in the morning, listeners who aren't familiar with the process, like you get there at practically the middle of the night, there are characters that are there as you're entering your corrals, and just as you're kind of roaming about and entering the environment.
00:09:38.317 --> 00:09:44.637
ELIZABETH: So we met Rapunzel and Flynn right off the bat, like before the race even started, before we headed to our corral.
00:09:44.637 --> 00:09:49.417
ELIZABETH: And that was super fun, especially for my daughter who's a big Rapunzel fan.
00:09:49.417 --> 00:09:54.197
ELIZABETH: And then when the race got started, I mean, we were in like a later corral.
00:09:54.197 --> 00:10:05.137
ELIZABETH: Like we probably waited in the corrals for almost an hour before we even began, but we still had time to stop for Prince Eric, who I would consider like a more rare character.
00:10:05.137 --> 00:10:07.077
ELIZABETH: It's not like you see him around the park.
00:10:07.077 --> 00:10:07.737
ELIZABETH: So we stopped for him.
00:10:07.737 --> 00:10:11.357
VIRGINIA: No, you see him in parades and maybe on the float at Fantasmic.
00:10:11.357 --> 00:10:12.137
ELIZABETH: Right.
00:10:12.137 --> 00:10:15.557
ELIZABETH: So we also stopped and saw Bo Peep as we got closer to the finish line.
00:10:15.557 --> 00:10:17.657
ELIZABETH: And that feels like a rare character to me too.
00:10:17.657 --> 00:10:19.997
ELIZABETH: You can't just see her around the park all the time.
00:10:19.997 --> 00:10:26.997
ELIZABETH: So those are two that we stopped for, just because we had the opportunity, it was the right space and it felt more unusual.
00:10:27.337 --> 00:10:31.437
ELIZABETH: So in all, like in the entire experience, we still had three little character meet and greets.
00:10:31.437 --> 00:10:35.917
VIRGINIA: So now who's the princess for the 10K this year?
00:10:35.917 --> 00:10:37.317
ELIZABETH: It is Jasmine.
00:10:37.317 --> 00:10:40.177
ELIZABETH: And that is, yes, I saw that.
00:10:40.177 --> 00:10:42.137
VIRGINIA: I love the artwork they did for her.
00:10:42.137 --> 00:10:43.397
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:10:43.397 --> 00:10:50.497
ELIZABETH: And Hope, even though Rapunzel is her OG favorite princess, she loves, loves Jasmine.
00:10:50.497 --> 00:10:55.957
ELIZABETH: She did as her little elementary school musical last year, they did, you know, Aladdin Jr.
00:10:55.957 --> 00:10:58.117
ELIZABETH: And ever since, she's been very into Jasmine.
00:10:58.117 --> 00:11:03.357
ELIZABETH: So she's actually bounding as Jasmine, and I am bounding as Rajah.
00:11:03.357 --> 00:11:08.457
ELIZABETH: So stay tuned listeners for those pictures in the post-trip notes.
00:11:08.457 --> 00:11:09.657
ELIZABETH: We're excited about that.
00:11:09.657 --> 00:11:15.157
ELIZABETH: So we're, yeah, we're all about the Jasmine, Aladdin, Jafar theme of the 10K this year.
00:11:15.157 --> 00:11:17.297
VIRGINIA: Well, it seems like we're going to have good weather.
00:11:17.297 --> 00:11:19.537
VIRGINIA: Did you have that last year?
00:11:20.197 --> 00:11:23.957
VIRGINIA: Or was it chilly during those early morning hours?
00:11:23.957 --> 00:11:36.397
VIRGINIA: Because I'm debating, Jon was saying, he ran the marathon in January, and he had mentioned that he found some fleece blankets at Walmart for $2.50 or something like that.
00:11:36.397 --> 00:11:38.797
VIRGINIA: And so they just bought them to throw away.
00:11:38.797 --> 00:11:43.357
VIRGINIA: Do you recommend doing that for this time of year?
00:11:43.357 --> 00:11:46.957
VIRGINIA: It's only a few weeks later, but it feels like a world of difference.
00:11:47.017 --> 00:11:54.337
ELIZABETH: Right, we were really chilly in the corrals last year, and the excitement, obviously, and entertainment kept us fine.
00:11:54.337 --> 00:12:00.737
ELIZABETH: But I learned from that, and this year we have the disposable Mylar emergency blankets.
00:12:00.737 --> 00:12:03.937
ELIZABETH: I saw a ton of people with those in the corrals last year.
00:12:03.937 --> 00:12:10.057
ELIZABETH: So we're gonna have those just to wear in the corrals and then throw away at our first opportunity as we start running.
00:12:10.057 --> 00:12:13.977
ELIZABETH: And we also have hand warmers, those that you would ski with in the winter.
00:12:14.197 --> 00:12:19.737
ELIZABETH: Like we brought those just so we have the Mylar cover, the hand warmers like that.
00:12:19.737 --> 00:12:25.197
ELIZABETH: Last year we wore sweatshirts that we just tied around our waist for the 5K, which is fine too.
00:12:25.197 --> 00:12:33.537
ELIZABETH: But I think just to have that extra blanket and the warmers will feel comfortable because it does get chilly at 3.30 in the morning when you're standing there waiting.
00:12:33.537 --> 00:12:36.377
VIRGINIA: Do those Mylar blankets work?
00:12:36.377 --> 00:12:39.037
ELIZABETH: A lot of people use them.
00:12:39.037 --> 00:12:45.157
ELIZABETH: Actually, when you finish the race, they give you run Disney ones to warm up after you're running.
00:12:45.157 --> 00:12:47.357
ELIZABETH: So I do think there's something to that.
00:12:47.357 --> 00:12:52.717
ELIZABETH: I do think there's something to that wind barrier at least that keeps you comfier.
00:12:52.717 --> 00:12:53.017
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:12:53.017 --> 00:12:59.597
VIRGINIA: Yeah, because Jon mentioned that if you bring something and you leave it behind, they donate it to Cherry.
00:12:59.597 --> 00:12:59.937
VIRGINIA: Yes.
00:12:59.937 --> 00:13:05.457
VIRGINIA: So I was thinking, I don't know that I'm going to find such a great deal as he did for $2.50.
00:13:05.937 --> 00:13:16.917
VIRGINIA: But I was like, if I could find even just a $10 and get three of those and then have those and just plan on not bringing them, that might be a good idea.
00:13:17.377 --> 00:13:21.877
VIRGINIA: But then I'm thinking, well, if Mylar works, that's so tiny, be easy.
00:13:21.877 --> 00:13:22.777
ELIZABETH: Yeah.
00:13:22.777 --> 00:13:23.757
ELIZABETH: So that's our plan.
00:13:23.757 --> 00:13:31.737
ELIZABETH: But I have heard that they go around the course and anything that's just discarded but in good shape, they'll donate, which is great.
00:13:31.737 --> 00:13:37.597
ELIZABETH: So yeah, if I went to Hobby Lobby and bought, you could buy a $5 Gilded Sweatshirt.
00:13:39.277 --> 00:13:39.557
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:13:39.557 --> 00:13:40.357
VIRGINIA: I'm going to think on that.
00:13:40.357 --> 00:13:45.497
VIRGINIA: I was kind of waiting until it gets a little closer for the weather to be a little bit more accurate.
00:13:45.497 --> 00:13:45.737
ELIZABETH: I know.
00:13:45.737 --> 00:13:51.537
VIRGINIA: So we're getting there and I'll make a game time decision, I guess.
00:13:51.537 --> 00:13:52.657
ELIZABETH: Yes, yes.
00:13:52.657 --> 00:13:53.497
VIRGINIA: Race time decision.
00:13:53.497 --> 00:13:54.337
VIRGINIA: No, not a race time.
00:13:54.337 --> 00:13:55.677
VIRGINIA: I need to order it in advance.
00:13:56.597 --> 00:13:56.937
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:13:57.297 --> 00:13:58.237
VIRGINIA: That's what I will do.
00:13:58.237 --> 00:13:59.037
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:13:59.037 --> 00:13:59.677
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:13:59.677 --> 00:14:02.537
VIRGINIA: So who is going to be with you on this trip?
00:14:02.537 --> 00:14:03.217
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:14:03.217 --> 00:14:15.457
ELIZABETH: So in our last podcast, that was the one with our big family trip and it included my parents, my sister and my cousin, who's like a sister to us and her big family.
00:14:15.457 --> 00:14:24.877
ELIZABETH: And at the end of the podcast, I remember kind of telling you that, well, I've invited them to join us for a princess weekend in February and here we are and they've accepted.
00:14:24.877 --> 00:14:29.817
ELIZABETH: So it's going to be me, my mom, my sister, my daughter, my cousin and her daughter.
00:14:29.817 --> 00:14:31.737
ELIZABETH: So it's going to be the six of us.
00:14:31.737 --> 00:14:40.677
ELIZABETH: And it's just me and Hope doing the run, but the four others are going down with us to have a princess weekend extravaganza in Disney World around that.
00:14:40.677 --> 00:14:42.097
VIRGINIA: Fun, okay.
00:14:42.097 --> 00:14:43.017
ELIZABETH: So excited.
00:14:43.017 --> 00:14:45.077
VIRGINIA: Where will you be staying for this trip?
00:14:45.077 --> 00:14:46.277
ELIZABETH: I am really excited.
00:14:46.277 --> 00:14:54.017
ELIZABETH: So we've kind of made it a personal, a very enjoyable challenge to stay somewhere different every time.
00:14:54.017 --> 00:14:59.957
ELIZABETH: So we've never stayed at the same Disney resort twice and I think we're coming up on our ninth or 10th trip.
00:15:00.417 --> 00:15:09.877
ELIZABETH: So this time, we are going to be staying at Saratoga Springs in one of their villas to accommodate all of us and I am really excited.
00:15:09.877 --> 00:15:11.737
ELIZABETH: I'm really excited to experience that.
00:15:11.737 --> 00:15:16.977
ELIZABETH: I've heard really good things and we're looking forward to the proximity to Disney Springs.
00:15:16.977 --> 00:15:17.497
VIRGINIA: Sure.
00:15:17.497 --> 00:15:18.957
ELIZABETH: That is where we will be staying.
00:15:18.957 --> 00:15:22.937
VIRGINIA: Do you know if you will be in a preferred building?
00:15:22.937 --> 00:15:24.537
VIRGINIA: Did you rent that kind of...
00:15:24.537 --> 00:15:25.757
ELIZABETH: I do know that we won't.
00:15:25.757 --> 00:15:26.357
ELIZABETH: Yeah.
00:15:26.357 --> 00:15:26.637
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:15:27.097 --> 00:15:34.317
ELIZABETH: I know that we are in a standard and from what I've heard, read, researched, I requested the paddock section.
00:15:34.317 --> 00:15:43.677
ELIZABETH: So if that works out, a lot of people with kids enjoy that section because it has its own pool with a water slide, with a great pool bar.
00:15:43.677 --> 00:15:50.617
ELIZABETH: It has its own little community in that area, not a far walk from Disney Springs even though it's a standard section.
00:15:50.617 --> 00:15:52.657
ELIZABETH: So we'll see if that works out.
00:15:52.657 --> 00:15:53.157
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:15:53.157 --> 00:15:53.597
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:15:53.597 --> 00:16:08.277
VIRGINIA: I have stayed at Saratoga Springs once, and I really enjoyed it in terms of like a DVC that frequently gets referred to, unfortunately, as the resort of last resort.
00:16:08.277 --> 00:16:14.617
VIRGINIA: And I think it's just because there are so many rooms there that it's a little bit lesser points per night.
00:16:14.617 --> 00:16:18.237
VIRGINIA: And so people kind of think like, oh, I could go there anytime.
00:16:18.237 --> 00:16:25.557
VIRGINIA: So I went and maybe that would have been something that I didn't like as much pre-renovation, but I went after the renovation.
00:16:25.857 --> 00:16:27.117
VIRGINIA: The rooms are gorgeous now.
00:16:27.117 --> 00:16:27.917
ELIZABETH: Yes, yes.
00:16:27.917 --> 00:16:30.637
VIRGINIA: And so you're going to really enjoy that.
00:16:30.637 --> 00:16:31.737
ELIZABETH: Yes, thank you.
00:16:31.737 --> 00:16:32.977
ELIZABETH: That's what I've heard too.
00:16:32.977 --> 00:16:41.457
ELIZABETH: But same thing, I've heard anybody who's stayed since 2021 when the rooms were renovated were like, it is gorgeous, it is fresh, it is airy.
00:16:41.457 --> 00:16:48.337
ELIZABETH: And yeah, the biggest complaint that I hear, kind of like Caribbean Beach Resort at the moderate level, is just how big and spread out it is.
00:16:48.337 --> 00:16:53.037
ELIZABETH: But obviously, we're doing the 10K, so steps don't intimidate me.
00:16:53.037 --> 00:16:54.697
ELIZABETH: I'm OK to walk a bit.
00:16:54.757 --> 00:17:03.017
ELIZABETH: But that is where I'm like, gosh, if we were in that paddock section, that would be nice, because it is just a little more insulated if we're in that area to get to the amenities we want.
00:17:03.017 --> 00:17:03.797
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:17:03.797 --> 00:17:04.737
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:17:04.737 --> 00:17:11.557
VIRGINIA: So going to the parks this time, how many park days are you going to actually be having outside of your race?
00:17:11.557 --> 00:17:14.337
VIRGINIA: And what kind of tickets does everyone in the group have?
00:17:14.337 --> 00:17:14.937
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:17:14.937 --> 00:17:18.997
ELIZABETH: So we just have, I don't know, I don't know that I've ever done this before.
00:17:18.997 --> 00:17:22.257
ELIZABETH: We just have one day, one park tickets.
00:17:22.757 --> 00:17:31.897
ELIZABETH: So we are going to, on the Saturday after the race, we're going to just enjoy resort time and Disney Springs time and chill.
00:17:31.897 --> 00:17:35.057
ELIZABETH: But then Sunday is our Magic Kingdom Day.
00:17:35.057 --> 00:17:40.857
ELIZABETH: And I just feel like for a girls trip, you know, our boys aren't, they love Magic Kingdom.
00:17:40.857 --> 00:17:45.317
ELIZABETH: You have to love Magic Kingdom, of course, but they would rather do all the thrill rides elsewhere.
00:17:45.317 --> 00:18:09.457
ELIZABETH: And so for us to just really lean in to the Disney princess magic and parade, and all of those just fun things, fun magical things at Magic Kingdom, we're just going to be there all day with maybe a, you know, it would be fun to do a monorail resort stop if we need a little break or a little happy hour beverage or something, like I could see us doing that.
00:18:09.457 --> 00:18:24.677
ELIZABETH: But otherwise, we, my cousin and her daughter, and my daughter and I, so two moms, two young girls have Cinderella's Royal Table Reservations for breakfast at like eight o'clock in the morning.
00:18:24.677 --> 00:18:34.217
ELIZABETH: So we're going to get into the park early with that reservation to enjoy breakfast, and neither of our daughters have done that.
00:18:34.217 --> 00:18:40.257
ELIZABETH: Actually, I haven't done that since post-pandemic world, they've brought all the princesses back to it.
00:18:40.257 --> 00:18:45.677
ELIZABETH: So I think that'll be a super fun way for the four of us to kick start our Magic Kingdom Day.
00:18:45.677 --> 00:18:46.877
VIRGINIA: Oh, that's fantastic.
00:18:46.877 --> 00:18:51.497
VIRGINIA: Yeah, I did it September 2023 for my birthday.
00:18:51.497 --> 00:18:52.197
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:18:52.197 --> 00:18:53.197
VIRGINIA: It was so much fun.
00:18:53.497 --> 00:19:03.237
VIRGINIA: I really enjoyed it because it's an expensive meal partly, well, maybe mostly because you get to see all of those princesses at one time.
00:19:03.237 --> 00:19:07.557
VIRGINIA: And it's not something I would have splurged on any other time.
00:19:07.557 --> 00:19:09.757
VIRGINIA: I always was like, I don't need to do that.
00:19:09.877 --> 00:19:13.557
VIRGINIA: You know, Alex is not really interested in the princess meal.
00:19:13.557 --> 00:19:17.477
VIRGINIA: But I was able to justify it for a birthday trip.
00:19:17.477 --> 00:19:20.877
VIRGINIA: I was like, I'm going to be a kid again and see the princesses.
00:19:20.897 --> 00:19:21.557
ELIZABETH: Absolutely.
00:19:21.557 --> 00:19:24.177
ELIZABETH: And I felt the same way about this Disney weekend.
00:19:24.177 --> 00:19:25.057
ELIZABETH: What a great way.
00:19:25.057 --> 00:19:33.957
ELIZABETH: With these girls, while they're still young, to enjoy that and to be in the castle, I just thought that'll be wonderful.
00:19:33.957 --> 00:19:38.717
ELIZABETH: And my mom and sister are just going to do their own thing at Magic Kingdom that morning.
00:19:38.857 --> 00:19:43.717
ELIZABETH: And so, yeah, it's just going to be the four of us starting our Magic Kingdom Day in Cinderella's Castle.
00:19:43.717 --> 00:19:44.797
ELIZABETH: It just sounded perfect.
00:19:45.897 --> 00:19:53.277
VIRGINIA: Well, that, of course, will be the day that I may actually see you because I will be in the Magic Kingdom myself.
00:19:53.277 --> 00:19:54.397
ELIZABETH: Oh my gosh.
00:19:54.397 --> 00:19:55.517
ELIZABETH: That's awesome.
00:19:55.517 --> 00:19:56.117
VIRGINIA: I'm trying to think.
00:19:56.117 --> 00:20:01.857
VIRGINIA: I don't have my plans exactly memorized, but I know I have a Crystal Palace breakfast reservation.
00:20:01.857 --> 00:20:02.957
VIRGINIA: I think it's at like nine or something.
00:20:02.957 --> 00:20:04.437
ELIZABETH: Have you done that before?
00:20:04.877 --> 00:20:05.717
VIRGINIA: I have not.
00:20:06.017 --> 00:20:17.017
VIRGINIA: I've eaten at Crystal Palace for dinner, but I had to book this breakfast reservation because of the churro waffles I hear so much about.
00:20:17.017 --> 00:20:18.617
ELIZABETH: Yes, that is exactly right.
00:20:19.697 --> 00:20:22.877
ELIZABETH: We did Crystal Palace breakfast last Disney race.
00:20:22.877 --> 00:20:29.337
ELIZABETH: When we did the 5K last year, we did breakfast at Crystal Palace on our Magic Kingdom Day, and it was the churro waffles.
00:20:29.337 --> 00:20:31.297
ELIZABETH: First of all, the characters are adorable.
00:20:31.297 --> 00:20:32.837
ELIZABETH: Crystal Palace itself is very pretty.
00:20:32.997 --> 00:20:36.917
ELIZABETH: It's just a fun place to be, but those churro waffles, I was like, you know what?
00:20:36.917 --> 00:20:39.877
ELIZABETH: I did a 5K, I'll eat five churro waffles.
00:20:39.877 --> 00:20:41.097
ELIZABETH: Like that felt right.
00:20:41.097 --> 00:20:42.297
VIRGINIA: One for each K.
00:20:42.297 --> 00:20:44.297
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:20:44.297 --> 00:20:46.537
ELIZABETH: Yeah, it was awesome.
00:20:46.537 --> 00:20:56.677
VIRGINIA: Okay, so let's talk about how you are, how and when you're getting into Orlando, because being from Nebraska, I'm assuming you're flying.
00:20:56.717 --> 00:20:57.897
ELIZABETH: Absolutely.
00:20:58.217 --> 00:20:59.857
VIRGINIA: What time is your flight?
00:21:01.157 --> 00:21:09.897
ELIZABETH: So we're just going to start conditioning to a very early morning wake up for the race the day before, because our flight is at 5 a.m.
00:21:09.897 --> 00:21:10.857
ELIZABETH: from Omaha.
00:21:10.857 --> 00:21:17.957
ELIZABETH: So Hope and I are going to wake up at like 2.45 and go pick up Jamie and her daughter.
00:21:17.957 --> 00:21:21.697
ELIZABETH: And we're going to get to the airport and get on that 5 a.m.
00:21:21.697 --> 00:21:22.777
ELIZABETH: Southwest flight.
00:21:22.777 --> 00:21:26.997
ELIZABETH: We have a layover in Chicago, which is pretty standard for us.
00:21:26.997 --> 00:21:32.557
ELIZABETH: And then we fly down to MCO and arrive at 11.20.
00:21:32.557 --> 00:21:34.417
ELIZABETH: And my mom and sister arrive.
00:21:34.417 --> 00:21:35.697
ELIZABETH: They have a different flight path.
00:21:35.697 --> 00:21:41.797
ELIZABETH: They get to leave slightly later in the morning, but they still arrive at MCO at like 11.40.
00:21:41.797 --> 00:21:50.477
ELIZABETH: So really we'll kind of meet there and take Orlando Magical Rides, which is something we've done the past few trips.
00:21:50.557 --> 00:21:56.317
ELIZABETH: It's a great like former cast, Disney crew member experience, like private ride service.
00:21:56.317 --> 00:22:00.217
ELIZABETH: And we'll take Orlando Magical Rides all together to Saratoga Springs.
00:22:00.217 --> 00:22:06.477
ELIZABETH: And hopefully if everything goes according to plan, be there at the resort, maybe for lunch.
00:22:06.477 --> 00:22:07.017
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:22:07.017 --> 00:22:12.337
VIRGINIA: Do you think you'll have lunch at the resort or do you think you will immediately want to get yourself to Disney Springs?
00:22:12.337 --> 00:22:22.237
ELIZABETH: Oh, I think it probably depends a little bit on if our room is ready, you know, getting to your Disney resort at noon.
00:22:22.237 --> 00:22:29.317
ELIZABETH: It could be ready and especially if you check in at the front desk and say that you're there and check on availability, there's the possibility.
00:22:29.317 --> 00:22:32.157
ELIZABETH: But they don't guarantee a room be ready until 4.
00:22:32.157 --> 00:22:43.977
ELIZABETH: So I could see where if they say, you know, we don't have a room ready yet or if they say we can accommodate you in the paddock section, but just not yet, we might stow our bags and go to Disney Springs.
00:22:43.977 --> 00:22:51.357
ELIZABETH: But we'll also be excited for us that day will be our Run Disney Expo Day at the Wide World of Sports.
00:22:51.357 --> 00:22:54.597
ELIZABETH: So we'll also have to figure out when to get over there.
00:22:54.597 --> 00:23:01.297
ELIZABETH: And last year for the 5K, my mom and sister joined us for the trip as well, not for the race, but for the trip.
00:23:01.297 --> 00:23:03.857
ELIZABETH: And just Hope and I went to the Run Expo.
00:23:03.857 --> 00:23:16.637
ELIZABETH: But that was honestly such a fun experience in and of itself that I've asked my mom and sister and cousin and her daughter if they would come with us just to experience it while we pick up our bib and t-shirt and all of that.
00:23:16.777 --> 00:23:20.457
ELIZABETH: So, our plan is to at some point that afternoon all head over there.
00:23:20.457 --> 00:23:26.537
ELIZABETH: So, we'll just have to see when our room is available and figure out that.
00:23:26.537 --> 00:23:30.737
VIRGINIA: How were the crowds when you did that last year for the 5K?
00:23:30.737 --> 00:23:38.277
VIRGINIA: Because your Expo day would have been the first day of the Expo in that case, and that's what I'm about to experience.
00:23:38.277 --> 00:23:39.897
VIRGINIA: So, was it crazy?
00:23:39.897 --> 00:23:41.437
VIRGINIA: Was it chaotic?
00:23:41.437 --> 00:23:43.997
ELIZABETH: A little bit in a very fun way.
00:23:44.297 --> 00:23:48.997
ELIZABETH: But, I never felt like we had to wait in any long lines.
00:23:48.997 --> 00:23:52.837
ELIZABETH: I mean, I feel like we just walked right up to get our bib and get our t-shirt.
00:23:52.837 --> 00:23:54.517
ELIZABETH: So, that wasn't tricky.
00:23:54.517 --> 00:24:05.557
ELIZABETH: But, I do hope slash anticipate that since this time we're doing the 10K and then we'll be at the Expo the second day, it might be a little less crowds.
00:24:05.557 --> 00:24:07.957
ELIZABETH: Maybe the buses will be a little quicker, more efficient.
00:24:07.957 --> 00:24:08.597
ELIZABETH: I don't know.
00:24:08.597 --> 00:24:12.897
ELIZABETH: But, I mean, certainly last year, it didn't feel strenuous or difficult at all.
00:24:13.277 --> 00:24:16.877
ELIZABETH: I just think it was more crowded because it was the very first day.
00:24:16.877 --> 00:24:19.657
VIRGINIA: Did you do the virtual queue last time?
00:24:19.657 --> 00:24:20.617
ELIZABETH: We didn't.
00:24:20.617 --> 00:24:27.897
ELIZABETH: So, yeah, you have to do a virtual queue is my understanding to get into the merchandise area for Run Disney on the first day.
00:24:27.897 --> 00:24:29.017
ELIZABETH: Is that right?
00:24:29.017 --> 00:24:29.597
VIRGINIA: Yes.
00:24:29.597 --> 00:24:40.077
ELIZABETH: And we didn't do that last year, but it's also my understanding that since we'll be at the Expo the second day this year, that we don't need that virtual queue and we can still see all of the merch that they have left.
00:24:40.077 --> 00:24:43.117
ELIZABETH: So, I'm kind of excited to see that since we didn't get to last year.
00:24:43.117 --> 00:24:43.637
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:24:43.637 --> 00:24:44.097
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:24:44.097 --> 00:24:44.357
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:24:44.357 --> 00:24:47.357
VIRGINIA: I'm really excited to check out the Expo.
00:24:47.357 --> 00:24:50.637
VIRGINIA: Not so much for the running stuff, like the normal stuff.
00:24:50.637 --> 00:24:59.197
VIRGINIA: I want to see all that Run Disney merch because I will never let myself get Run Disney merch until I'm actually doing Run Disney Race.
00:24:59.197 --> 00:24:59.877
ELIZABETH: Absolutely.
00:24:59.877 --> 00:25:03.777
VIRGINIA: The floodgates are about to open on my ability to buy Run Disney things.
00:25:03.837 --> 00:25:06.217
ELIZABETH: Yes, and the Expo is fun.
00:25:07.877 --> 00:25:14.637
ELIZABETH: Alex and your husband will be fine, but it's very girly, very princess, so fun, so many fun photo opportunities.
00:25:14.637 --> 00:25:20.857
ELIZABETH: There's a street fair, they have food, they have drinks, they have rare characters there.
00:25:20.857 --> 00:25:26.837
ELIZABETH: Last year, Sebastian was there, meeting and greeting for the Ariel 5K.
00:25:26.837 --> 00:25:29.097
ELIZABETH: I think Olaf was there too.
00:25:30.117 --> 00:25:34.757
ELIZABETH: It'll be fun to see who's there and it just is a fun experience in and of itself.
00:25:34.757 --> 00:25:36.057
VIRGINIA: Yeah, okay.
00:25:36.057 --> 00:25:37.617
VIRGINIA: I'm really excited.
00:25:37.617 --> 00:25:47.337
VIRGINIA: So being that you have the 10K on Saturday and you have to get up, I would like to say at the crack of dawn, but it's pre-crack of dawn.
00:25:47.337 --> 00:25:51.817
VIRGINIA: What time are you planning to go to bed on Friday night?
00:25:51.817 --> 00:25:54.957
ELIZABETH: I mean, there's going to be so much excitement.
00:25:54.957 --> 00:25:58.677
ELIZABETH: We're going to be with the girls, people we love spending time with.
00:25:59.237 --> 00:26:03.337
ELIZABETH: At the same time, all of us will have woken up to get our flight that morning.
00:26:03.337 --> 00:26:04.697
ELIZABETH: It's only the o'clock in the morning.
00:26:04.697 --> 00:26:09.277
ELIZABETH: So hopefully we can get ourselves to bed at a reasonable time.
00:26:09.277 --> 00:26:16.157
ELIZABETH: Like I think, you know, if we get to bed 9, 9.30, that gets us, what, five hours of sleep.
00:26:16.157 --> 00:26:18.837
ELIZABETH: Before we wake up to get ready for the run.
00:26:18.837 --> 00:26:23.057
ELIZABETH: And of course, it's just me and Hope waking up to get ready for the run, but it will be as quiet as possible.
00:26:23.057 --> 00:26:26.357
ELIZABETH: And being in a villa, there's a little more space to not disturb people.
00:26:26.357 --> 00:26:26.977
ELIZABETH: So that's great.
00:26:26.977 --> 00:26:27.277
VIRGINIA: Right.
00:26:28.357 --> 00:26:32.497
ELIZABETH: But I think that the earlier we can get to bed, the better.
00:26:32.497 --> 00:26:36.117
ELIZABETH: But I also am not putting a lot of pressure on what that time might be.
00:26:36.117 --> 00:26:43.157
VIRGINIA: Well, I think you're right, that the early morning travel will hopefully aid you in your ability to get some rest.
00:26:43.157 --> 00:26:44.457
ELIZABETH: So yes, yes.
00:26:44.457 --> 00:26:45.917
VIRGINIA: I will cross my fingers for you.
00:26:45.917 --> 00:26:47.037
ELIZABETH: Thank you.
00:26:47.037 --> 00:26:47.557
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:26:47.617 --> 00:26:54.957
VIRGINIA: So one day, Saturday the 22nd, after the 10K, what are your plans for the day?
00:26:54.957 --> 00:26:56.397
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:26:56.397 --> 00:26:58.737
ELIZABETH: Very determinant on weather.
00:26:58.737 --> 00:27:02.177
ELIZABETH: Obviously going to Orlando in February.
00:27:02.177 --> 00:27:09.497
ELIZABETH: Gosh, I remember last year, last year it was all about the layers because the mornings were cool, but then by mid afternoon, it's like hot.
00:27:09.497 --> 00:27:10.897
ELIZABETH: Like it's a normal Disney day.
00:27:10.897 --> 00:27:16.977
ELIZABETH: So if we have some nice sunny weather, I could see one of several things.
00:27:17.057 --> 00:27:30.197
ELIZABETH: I could see us just doing a resort day that day and doing the pool, doing the community hall, which is always a really fun option when you're staying in a deluxe DVC area, is to just do the community hall and do arts and crafts.
00:27:30.197 --> 00:27:31.697
ELIZABETH: The kids love it.
00:27:31.697 --> 00:27:35.017
ELIZABETH: They have like Surrey bike rentals at Saratoga Springs.
00:27:35.017 --> 00:27:41.217
ELIZABETH: So just really doing all of the Saratoga Springs things or Disney Springs.
00:27:41.217 --> 00:27:44.677
VIRGINIA: I love that you think you might do a Surrey bike after running a 10K.
00:27:44.677 --> 00:27:46.177
ELIZABETH: Yeah, I'll have all of this energy.
00:27:46.297 --> 00:27:47.757
ELIZABETH: My legs will be warmed up.
00:27:47.757 --> 00:27:48.677
ELIZABETH: You're exactly right.
00:27:48.677 --> 00:27:49.657
ELIZABETH: Like who am I?
00:27:49.657 --> 00:27:50.797
VIRGINIA: Jelly legs.
00:27:50.797 --> 00:27:52.297
ELIZABETH: Yes, you're right.
00:27:52.297 --> 00:27:53.557
ELIZABETH: Maybe that will be a Monday.
00:27:53.557 --> 00:27:56.617
ELIZABETH: Maybe that will be a Monday task after some recovery.
00:27:56.617 --> 00:27:58.757
ELIZABETH: But we actually do, we do.
00:27:58.757 --> 00:28:06.997
ELIZABETH: So I could see us still enjoying pool, still enjoying resort time, but we do have a couple of reservations on Saturday at Disney Springs.
00:28:06.997 --> 00:28:21.537
ELIZABETH: The one I have never done in Disney before, but given that we have the kids like little girls with us, my mom encouraged me to make a lunch reservation at Rainforest Cafe because they've never been to a Rainforest Cafe before.
00:28:21.537 --> 00:28:23.057
ELIZABETH: So we might do that.
00:28:23.057 --> 00:28:32.997
ELIZABETH: And then we do have dinner that evening, like an early dinner, like 530, I think, at Summer House on the Lake, which is a place that we love at Disney Springs.
00:28:32.997 --> 00:28:34.897
ELIZABETH: I know you have grown to love as well.
00:28:34.897 --> 00:28:35.857
VIRGINIA: Oh my God.
00:28:35.857 --> 00:28:37.337
VIRGINIA: It's my new favorite.
00:28:37.337 --> 00:28:37.677
ELIZABETH: Yeah.
00:28:37.677 --> 00:28:38.197
VIRGINIA: New favorite.
00:28:38.197 --> 00:28:40.057
VIRGINIA: Did you get cookies there before?
00:28:40.057 --> 00:28:40.737
ELIZABETH: Oh, yes.
00:28:41.377 --> 00:28:42.617
VIRGINIA: What is your favorite flavor?
00:28:42.617 --> 00:28:46.117
VIRGINIA: Because I tried, I think, three different flavors.
00:28:46.117 --> 00:28:47.877
ELIZABETH: I think I did too.
00:28:47.877 --> 00:28:50.457
VIRGINIA: I got the almonds, the-
00:28:50.457 --> 00:28:51.277
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:28:51.277 --> 00:28:53.377
ELIZABETH: There was some kind of salted caramel that I like.
00:28:53.377 --> 00:28:54.377
VIRGINIA: Yes, that's the one I got.
00:28:54.377 --> 00:28:59.817
VIRGINIA: Salted caramel, the almond one, and then the banana one.
00:28:59.817 --> 00:29:01.577
VIRGINIA: And the banana one was my favorite.
00:29:01.577 --> 00:29:02.177
VIRGINIA: It was so good.
00:29:02.757 --> 00:29:04.797
VIRGINIA: It had chunks of real banana in it.
00:29:04.857 --> 00:29:05.657
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:29:05.657 --> 00:29:11.577
ELIZABETH: So I know that Die Hard Walt Disney World, Disney Springs fans love Gideon's.
00:29:11.577 --> 00:29:16.677
ELIZABETH: I've never been to Gideon's only because I've never stood in such a line to experience it.
00:29:16.677 --> 00:29:21.357
ELIZABETH: But I felt like, and you probably have listeners who are like, nope, not accurate, not the same.
00:29:21.357 --> 00:29:28.837
ELIZABETH: But I still felt like I was getting that giant deluxe cookie experience at Disney Springs through Summer House.
00:29:28.837 --> 00:29:30.297
ELIZABETH: And they really were delicious.
00:29:30.297 --> 00:29:32.937
ELIZABETH: It was super fun and the kids loved it, of course.
00:29:33.017 --> 00:29:37.477
ELIZABETH: So yeah, they do have a really exquisite cookie bar there.
00:29:37.477 --> 00:29:47.417
VIRGINIA: Well, I will just say, as somebody who has been to Gideon's multiple times and tried pretty much every cookie flavor that they have, the cookies are fine.
00:29:47.417 --> 00:29:48.317
VIRGINIA: They're good.
00:29:48.317 --> 00:29:50.217
VIRGINIA: They're very big and dense.
00:29:50.217 --> 00:29:53.377
VIRGINIA: And especially like the chocolate chip, it's like a lot of chocolate chips.
00:29:53.377 --> 00:29:55.397
VIRGINIA: And it's more than I care for.
00:29:55.457 --> 00:29:59.117
VIRGINIA: I love Gideon's for their peanut butter cold brew mostly.
00:29:59.117 --> 00:30:04.777
VIRGINIA: But after having Summer House on the Lake, that is more my style of cookie.
00:30:04.777 --> 00:30:07.777
VIRGINIA: I don't need to get cookies at Gideon's anymore.
00:30:07.777 --> 00:30:08.657
VIRGINIA: I'm a Summer House girl.
00:30:08.657 --> 00:30:10.757
ELIZABETH: And you don't have to stand in a big line.
00:30:10.757 --> 00:30:11.877
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:30:11.877 --> 00:30:12.557
VIRGINIA: Exactly.
00:30:12.557 --> 00:30:13.237
VIRGINIA: Exactly.
00:30:13.237 --> 00:30:16.277
VIRGINIA: So, yep, a new favorite for sure.
00:30:16.277 --> 00:30:18.417
VIRGINIA: And yeah, there was absolutely no line.
00:30:18.417 --> 00:30:21.257
VIRGINIA: We ate dinner there on my January girls trip.
00:30:21.257 --> 00:30:24.177
VIRGINIA: And then we immediately went into the cookie bar right after.
00:30:24.177 --> 00:30:24.977
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:30:24.977 --> 00:30:27.537
VIRGINIA: Walked right in, got what we wanted, walked right out.
00:30:27.537 --> 00:30:28.337
VIRGINIA: It was so easy.
00:30:28.817 --> 00:30:29.057
ELIZABETH: Yep.
00:30:29.057 --> 00:30:35.217
ELIZABETH: And my little family and I did Summer House right after it opened, maybe last summer, last spring.
00:30:35.217 --> 00:30:37.837
ELIZABETH: And we did a brunch there and that was delicious.
00:30:37.837 --> 00:30:39.457
ELIZABETH: So this will be my first dinner there.
00:30:39.457 --> 00:30:42.477
ELIZABETH: But we were just so impressed by the ambiance and the service.
00:30:42.477 --> 00:30:48.697
ELIZABETH: And we sat like on the patio, which overlooks the lake at Disney Springs with the big balloon.
00:30:48.697 --> 00:30:50.037
ELIZABETH: And so like there was so much to see.
00:30:50.037 --> 00:30:53.137
ELIZABETH: We could see the boat things from Boathouse, you know, in the water.
00:30:53.137 --> 00:30:55.837
ELIZABETH: And so it was just, it was just really fun.
00:30:55.837 --> 00:30:56.857
ELIZABETH: So I'm excited about that.
00:30:57.297 --> 00:30:58.677
VIRGINIA: Well, I'm excited for you.
00:30:58.677 --> 00:31:00.857
VIRGINIA: What a culinary treat.
00:31:00.857 --> 00:31:02.877
ELIZABETH: Yes, absolutely.
00:31:02.877 --> 00:31:03.417
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:31:03.417 --> 00:31:07.357
VIRGINIA: So Sunday, the 23rd, we already said, is your Magic Kingdom Day.
00:31:07.357 --> 00:31:10.997
VIRGINIA: And you're having your reservation in the morning.
00:31:10.997 --> 00:31:14.897
VIRGINIA: What will be your priorities for the day after breakfast is over?
00:31:14.897 --> 00:31:16.217
ELIZABETH: Such a fun question.
00:31:16.217 --> 00:31:19.897
ELIZABETH: Hope and I love talking about this, like almost every day.
00:31:19.897 --> 00:31:29.657
ELIZABETH: I think what I love to do, you know, given that we have six people, I don't know if we're gonna do, and please tell me what it's called again, because I still want to call it Lightning Lane.
00:31:29.657 --> 00:31:33.937
VIRGINIA: Well, it's called Multi Pass, unless you want to get Premier Pass and pay an arm and leg.
00:31:33.937 --> 00:31:34.877
ELIZABETH: No, no, no.
00:31:34.877 --> 00:31:37.857
ELIZABETH: So I don't know if we're gonna do that yet.
00:31:37.857 --> 00:31:38.777
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:31:38.777 --> 00:31:47.857
ELIZABETH: But whether or not we do, I just want to kind of get, you know, maybe a couple priorities for each person in the group and just navigate what we can.
00:31:47.857 --> 00:31:54.017
ELIZABETH: My priorities would be, again, just thinking of young girl magic things.
00:31:54.597 --> 00:32:03.777
ELIZABETH: I don't think Emery, who is six, almost seven, has ever experienced Enchanted Tales with Belle, which is, I think, so fun.
00:32:03.777 --> 00:32:06.657
ELIZABETH: So that would be very fun for us to do.
00:32:06.657 --> 00:32:11.237
ELIZABETH: You know, I want to sit and drink a Casey's lemonade and watch the parade.
00:32:11.237 --> 00:32:13.857
ELIZABETH: I want to watch the friendship fair.
00:32:13.857 --> 00:32:17.437
ELIZABETH: I want to do the people mover, gosh darn it, because I love the people mover.
00:32:17.437 --> 00:32:21.297
ELIZABETH: And I don't think my family properly appreciates it.
00:32:21.297 --> 00:32:22.917
ELIZABETH: And I haven't done that in a few trips.
00:32:23.017 --> 00:32:33.777
ELIZABETH: So, you know, I think we'll just use my Disney experience to navigate where the standby lines are shorter and just kind of go where the magical breeze blows us.
00:32:35.237 --> 00:32:39.597
ELIZABETH: But with, of course, just, you know, what other people's wishes are as well.
00:32:39.597 --> 00:32:46.597
ELIZABETH: But nothing that we have to do beyond just hopefully some preferences from each person.
00:32:46.617 --> 00:32:47.017
VIRGINIA: Right.
00:32:47.017 --> 00:32:47.677
VIRGINIA: OK.
00:32:47.677 --> 00:32:55.997
VIRGINIA: Yeah, I think that depending on the crowds, you could make that decision sort of at the time, whether you think it's worth it or not.
00:32:55.997 --> 00:33:00.717
VIRGINIA: You can see what the times are that are available and what the price is and all of that.
00:33:00.717 --> 00:33:01.877
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:33:01.877 --> 00:33:14.597
VIRGINIA: And there are, I can't recall which app, but there's one app that I use that will show you sort of like the current posted wait time and what they actually estimate it will be.
00:33:14.597 --> 00:33:15.457
ELIZABETH: Yeah.
00:33:15.537 --> 00:33:24.397
VIRGINIA: So that might be helpful for you to see like, oh, are they predicting that this is like fake and it's really shorter or that it's actually taking longer than the posted wait time?
00:33:25.057 --> 00:33:25.757
VIRGINIA: That sort of thing.
00:33:25.757 --> 00:33:31.337
ELIZABETH: And you never want to like cross a whole park because you see that there's this 15 minute standby, right?
00:33:31.337 --> 00:33:33.957
ELIZABETH: And then you're actually waiting in line for 40 minutes.
00:33:33.957 --> 00:33:34.617
ELIZABETH: Right.
00:33:34.617 --> 00:33:36.797
ELIZABETH: So that's tricky and something to consider.
00:33:36.797 --> 00:33:42.197
ELIZABETH: But I do often say to the cast member that's in front of the queue, like, okay, is this really 15 minutes?
00:33:42.197 --> 00:33:46.477
ELIZABETH: And sometimes they say it's actually shorter or sometimes they're like, no, we think it's a little longer.
00:33:46.477 --> 00:33:51.497
ELIZABETH: So you can kind of base on that again, you don't want to cross the whole park and then get there and discover it's longer.
00:33:51.497 --> 00:33:56.877
ELIZABETH: But I still, it's pretty frequent question I asked just before we jump in line.
00:33:56.877 --> 00:33:57.077
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:33:57.077 --> 00:34:04.037
VIRGINIA: And also having been as many times as you have, you probably can look at a line and go, oh, that's not 30 minutes.
00:34:04.037 --> 00:34:06.857
ELIZABETH: Although some of them are so deceptive, aren't they?
00:34:06.897 --> 00:34:15.557
VIRGINIA: Some are, but some are like, I know that people would be out the door if that was the case, or that sort of assessment that you can make.
00:34:15.657 --> 00:34:15.937
VIRGINIA: Yes.
00:34:15.937 --> 00:34:22.457
ELIZABETH: One thing I would really love is to get a virtual queue for Tiana's.
00:34:22.457 --> 00:34:27.977
ELIZABETH: We did, my little family got to write it because we went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in November.
00:34:27.977 --> 00:34:31.057
ELIZABETH: So that was our first time writing it, the four of us.
00:34:31.057 --> 00:34:35.437
ELIZABETH: But my mom's never done it, my sister's never done it, Jamie, Emery have never done it.
00:34:35.517 --> 00:34:39.557
ELIZABETH: So if we can get that virtual queue, I would love to experience that with them.
00:34:39.557 --> 00:34:42.277
ELIZABETH: But that's just one of those things that you don't know until you know.
00:34:42.277 --> 00:34:42.457
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:34:42.457 --> 00:34:45.017
VIRGINIA: And unfortunately, they haven't opened up the standby.
00:34:45.017 --> 00:34:47.777
VIRGINIA: So it's either virtual queue or virtual queue.
00:34:47.777 --> 00:34:48.297
ELIZABETH: Yeah.
00:34:48.297 --> 00:34:48.657
ELIZABETH: Right.
00:34:48.657 --> 00:34:49.617
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:34:49.617 --> 00:34:50.357
VIRGINIA: OK.
00:34:50.357 --> 00:34:57.277
VIRGINIA: Well, for this day, because it's your one part day, are you planning to stay all the way to the end?
00:34:57.277 --> 00:35:04.817
ELIZABETH: I would love to watch Happily Ever After, because again, I don't think that's something that the other four have experienced.
00:35:05.457 --> 00:35:05.977
ELIZABETH: Really?
00:35:05.977 --> 00:35:07.777
ELIZABETH: And it's, I don't think so.
00:35:07.777 --> 00:35:09.717
ELIZABETH: I don't think so.
00:35:09.717 --> 00:35:11.157
ELIZABETH: I really don't think so.
00:35:11.157 --> 00:35:20.077
ELIZABETH: I don't think, yeah, I don't think when my cousin's family, I could be wrong, but I don't think when my cousin's family went back in July, I don't think they stayed for that.
00:35:20.077 --> 00:35:24.937
ELIZABETH: I don't think my mom has seen it, even though she's been to some recent Disney trips.
00:35:24.937 --> 00:35:28.797
ELIZABETH: Again, I just don't think anybody's stayed that long to experience that.
00:35:28.797 --> 00:35:32.557
ELIZABETH: And it really is, we're doing a whole day, Magic Kingdom Day, like I want to see it.
00:35:33.497 --> 00:35:40.097
VIRGINIA: Sure, yeah, and I think if she hasn't seen it, I could totally understand that because she has four kids, right?
00:35:40.097 --> 00:35:40.977
ELIZABETH: Right, yes.
00:35:40.977 --> 00:35:43.337
ELIZABETH: I think they went back and rested and did the pool.
00:35:43.337 --> 00:35:43.757
ELIZABETH: Yeah.
00:35:43.757 --> 00:35:48.157
VIRGINIA: Yeah, it will probably be much easier because she will only have one kid with her.
00:35:48.157 --> 00:35:49.737
ELIZABETH: Yes, absolutely.
00:35:50.437 --> 00:35:54.737
ELIZABETH: So yes, I want to do all day Magic Kingdom, but I also want to be reasonable.
00:35:54.737 --> 00:35:59.817
ELIZABETH: Like if we've had all of these early mornings and we want to go all day, that's where I could see.
00:36:00.897 --> 00:36:04.577
ELIZABETH: I don't think they've been to these awesome monorail lounges.
00:36:04.577 --> 00:36:25.397
ELIZABETH: So I could see suggesting like, let's go see the Enchanted Rose at Grand Floridian, or let's go to the Polynesian and just like, let's go experience a monorail resort, but just like lay low, AC, like again, have a cocktail, a little downtime, and then go back, maybe in the afternoon.
00:36:25.397 --> 00:36:26.317
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:36:26.317 --> 00:36:27.877
VIRGINIA: Well, that's going to be such a fun day.
00:36:28.437 --> 00:36:30.237
VIRGINIA: A little, a girl's day.
00:36:30.237 --> 00:36:30.637
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:36:30.637 --> 00:36:38.057
ELIZABETH: I'm excited to experience it with some, like some ideas, but no expectation, you know?
00:36:38.057 --> 00:36:38.637
VIRGINIA: Right.
00:36:38.637 --> 00:36:39.257
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:36:39.257 --> 00:36:39.697
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:36:39.697 --> 00:36:53.597
VIRGINIA: That's a fantastic way to go into it because, you know, you don't want to set up your expectations and then be disappointed, but if you're able to just go with the flow and then also use all of the Disney knowledge you have to kind of help the group navigate, you'll be fine.
00:36:53.637 --> 00:36:54.577
ELIZABETH: Absolutely.
00:36:54.577 --> 00:36:58.837
VIRGINIA: So Monday, February 24th is your departure day, right?
00:36:58.837 --> 00:36:59.917
ELIZABETH: Right.
00:36:59.917 --> 00:37:01.337
VIRGINIA: What time of day are you leaving?
00:37:01.337 --> 00:37:05.757
VIRGINIA: Because you said something earlier that made me think you have some time in the day to play with.
00:37:06.137 --> 00:37:06.677
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:37:06.677 --> 00:37:06.957
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:37:06.957 --> 00:37:11.217
ELIZABETH: We actually don't leave until 2:59 PM.
00:37:11.217 --> 00:37:11.597
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:37:11.597 --> 00:37:20.537
ELIZABETH: That being said, we are flying Allegiant, which leaves out of Sanford and not MCO, so it's going to be just a little longer of a commute.
00:37:20.777 --> 00:37:26.397
ELIZABETH: Not terrible, but I think maybe closer to an hour than half an hour from where we are.
00:37:26.397 --> 00:37:34.017
ELIZABETH: But even still, that's still like hang out at the resort after checkout time.
00:37:34.017 --> 00:37:41.217
ELIZABETH: So I still think we could definitely go to Disney Springs or just do something at the resort or just take our time, which will feel nice.
00:37:41.217 --> 00:37:41.797
VIRGINIA: Yes.
00:37:41.797 --> 00:37:42.857
VIRGINIA: Okay.
00:37:42.857 --> 00:37:47.157
VIRGINIA: Are you using the same car service to get to the airport for your return?
00:37:47.737 --> 00:37:48.817
ELIZABETH: Uncertain.
00:37:48.817 --> 00:37:49.757
ELIZABETH: We might.
00:37:49.757 --> 00:37:54.317
ELIZABETH: But it is going to Sanford almost double the price because it's about double the distance.
00:37:54.317 --> 00:37:56.937
ELIZABETH: So we'll just have to weigh what our best option is.
00:37:56.937 --> 00:38:01.297
ELIZABETH: I do like about Orlando Magical Rides that it's planned.
00:38:02.957 --> 00:38:06.797
ELIZABETH: They include booster seats like for our little one for our seven-year-old.
00:38:06.797 --> 00:38:07.957
ELIZABETH: Like that feels nice.
00:38:07.957 --> 00:38:10.037
ELIZABETH: And I know that you can get that with Uber and Lyft.
00:38:10.037 --> 00:38:14.677
ELIZABETH: But the certainty of a reserved ride is certainly reassuring.
00:38:14.837 --> 00:38:18.857
ELIZABETH: So I think we're still determining that.
00:38:18.857 --> 00:38:21.917
VIRGINIA: You can pre-arrange an Uber or Lyft.
00:38:21.917 --> 00:38:22.957
ELIZABETH: That's true.
00:38:22.957 --> 00:38:23.777
ELIZABETH: Yeah.
00:38:23.937 --> 00:38:24.237
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:38:24.597 --> 00:38:26.517
VIRGINIA: I've done it a couple of times now.
00:38:26.517 --> 00:38:33.817
VIRGINIA: And I did it actually for my girls' trip because I was leaving at the crack of dawn, as you do when you go to Disney.
00:38:33.817 --> 00:38:35.417
VIRGINIA: And I was like, I don't want to…
00:38:35.417 --> 00:38:37.557
VIRGINIA: Like that is such a weird time to be leaving.
00:38:37.557 --> 00:38:42.557
VIRGINIA: I don't want to worry about whether somebody's gonna be there on time or whatever.
00:38:43.037 --> 00:38:48.657
VIRGINIA: So I normally use Lyft and I scheduled it and they were there on time.
00:38:48.657 --> 00:39:02.537
VIRGINIA: And they also, I don't know about Uber, but Lyft has, if you're going to the airport, a guarantee that when you put in that it's an airport trip or prescripting, if they are not there on time, you get like $100.
00:39:02.537 --> 00:39:03.737
ELIZABETH: Oh my gosh.
00:39:03.737 --> 00:39:07.297
ELIZABETH: So that is an incentive for certainty, obviously both ways.
00:39:07.297 --> 00:39:07.717
ELIZABETH: Okay.
00:39:07.717 --> 00:39:08.817
ELIZABETH: I actually wrote that down.
00:39:08.817 --> 00:39:09.697
ELIZABETH: So thank you, Virginia.
00:39:09.697 --> 00:39:18.977
VIRGINIA: And I will tell you, like the morning of we were about to go out the door and I got a message from the driver saying like caught in traffic or whatever.
00:39:18.977 --> 00:39:19.417
ELIZABETH: Sure.
00:39:19.417 --> 00:39:21.937
VIRGINIA: This is kind of a knock on him as a driver.
00:39:21.937 --> 00:39:24.557
VIRGINIA: He wanted me to cancel the ride because he was stuck in traffic.
00:39:24.557 --> 00:39:28.797
VIRGINIA: And I was like the guarantee and I just chatted him back through the Lyft app.
00:39:28.797 --> 00:39:30.777
VIRGINIA: And I said, I'm going to the airport.
00:39:30.777 --> 00:39:32.877
VIRGINIA: I have the guarantee I'm not canceling.
00:39:32.877 --> 00:39:33.297
ELIZABETH: Right.
00:39:33.297 --> 00:39:41.437
VIRGINIA: And so when I did that, it somehow I don't know if he did something on his end, but it switched me to another driver and somebody was still there on time.
00:39:41.437 --> 00:39:42.337
ELIZABETH: Right.
00:39:42.337 --> 00:39:43.917
VIRGINIA: Because they don't want to pay $100.
00:39:43.917 --> 00:39:45.017
ELIZABETH: No, no.
00:39:45.017 --> 00:39:45.277
ELIZABETH: Okay.
00:39:45.277 --> 00:39:46.037
ELIZABETH: That's good to know.
00:39:46.037 --> 00:39:46.657
ELIZABETH: I wrote that down.
00:39:46.717 --> 00:39:48.117
ELIZABETH: We'll investigate that for sure.
00:39:48.117 --> 00:39:48.697
ELIZABETH: Thank you.
00:39:48.697 --> 00:39:49.837
VIRGINIA: Yeah.
00:39:49.837 --> 00:39:50.377
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:39:50.377 --> 00:39:53.297
VIRGINIA: Well, I think that's about all we need to know for this trip.
00:39:53.297 --> 00:39:56.017
VIRGINIA: I'm really excited to hear how it all goes.
00:39:56.017 --> 00:40:02.837
VIRGINIA: And most especially to hopefully get to see you in person and give you a hug and see your beautiful face.
00:40:02.837 --> 00:40:03.397
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:40:03.397 --> 00:40:04.277
VIRGINIA: Right there.
00:40:04.277 --> 00:40:04.897
ELIZABETH: Absolutely.
00:40:04.897 --> 00:40:10.417
ELIZABETH: And it would be so it would be so fun to share with your listeners a picture in the post trip, two of the two of us together.
00:40:10.417 --> 00:40:11.337
ELIZABETH: Like we did it.
00:40:11.657 --> 00:40:13.177
ELIZABETH: We found each other in the Magic Kingdom.
00:40:13.177 --> 00:40:13.737
VIRGINIA: We made it.
00:40:13.737 --> 00:40:15.077
ELIZABETH: Yes.
00:40:15.077 --> 00:40:15.657
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:40:15.657 --> 00:40:19.177
VIRGINIA: Well, I wish you smooth travels and Thank you.
00:40:19.177 --> 00:40:19.997
VIRGINIA: You too.
00:40:19.997 --> 00:40:21.257
VIRGINIA: I'll see you down there.
00:40:21.257 --> 00:40:21.857
ELIZABETH: Thank you.
00:40:21.857 --> 00:40:23.357
ELIZABETH: That sounds great.
00:40:24.417 --> 00:40:27.077
VIRGINIA: Thank you, Elizabeth, for another great chat.
00:40:27.077 --> 00:40:30.017
VIRGINIA: Elizabeth's post trip report is up next.
00:40:30.017 --> 00:40:35.977
VIRGINIA: This is your reminder to please share the podcast with a friend and keep the engagement coming on my social media channels.
00:40:36.537 --> 00:40:40.597
VIRGINIA: I'm behind on sharing some clips from recent shows, which I will get to soon.
00:40:40.597 --> 00:40:46.277
VIRGINIA: But I did finally get my two part haul videos filmed and posted both on TikTok and Instagram.
00:40:46.277 --> 00:40:53.837
VIRGINIA: So I'd love for you to check them out and see if you like what I ended up getting on my two most recent trips to Walt Disney World.
00:40:53.837 --> 00:40:54.517
VIRGINIA: All right.
00:40:54.517 --> 00:40:56.637
VIRGINIA: That is a wrap for today's episode.
00:40:56.637 --> 00:40:58.517
VIRGINIA: I'll see you in the post trip.
00:40:58.517 --> 00:41:01.697
VIRGINIA: Until then, keep daydreaming about where you long to be.
